There were multiple issues throughout the event, including late chair delivery, incorrect tablecloths, hors d'oeuvres that never made it to many guests, buffet items that ran out before everyone was served, and desserts that many guests--including the bride and groom--never received. Our day-of coordinator also had to step in several times to clear plates, refill the buffet, and manage tasks that should have been handled by the catering staff. We understand that no wedding is perfect, but the level of disorganization was disappointing. One staff member was even socializing with guests and asking if he could join the dancing, which felt very unprofessional. To the owner's credit, she met with my son and daughter-in-law afterward, but the resolution offered did not reflect the impact these issues had on such an important day. There are so many outstanding wedding caterers in the Hampton Roads area. Before making such a significant investment with this company, I encourage couples to do their research, compare several companies, and read recent reviews carefully. But when I asked for at least a partial refund, her response was "the food is already made so I'm not giving a refund" We made 58 guests wait to eat because she SAID she was only 7 minutes away at 1:14pm, and she didn't show up until 1:55pm, which is 41 minutes....again the event was only 2 hours. We only ordered Mac n cheese and Philly Steak Egg Rolls which all of the guests said were extremely soggy and falling apart. However, customer service is MORE important than just your product. If your customer pays full price for goods and services and you can't deliver that, then that's not your customer's burden. If you allow your customers to get burned and get the short end of the stick after paying full price for an promised service, your business will never succeed.
