757 Prime Steak House is an outstanding dining destination in Virginia Beach. From the moment you arrive, the service is elevated, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The food is superb--expertly prepared, full of flavor, and presented with excellence. Every detail reflects quality and pride. The atmosphere is equally impressive: stylish, vibrant, and perfect for celebrating special moments, milestones, or simply enjoying a first-class evening out. If you are in town and looking for a place to celebrate , this is a top-tier choice that delivers on every level. Highly recommended. Last our waitress Ms. Kelsea was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and with a high IQ on customer service. This is a must stop place in town.

Prime is located off Independence Blvd where Brass Bell used to be. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated. The server was not that forth coming about the menu. I had to ask what were the specials and details about the menu. We order the oysters Rockefeller, Lamb chops, and she crab to start The oyster roc was bland and the oysters were small. The she crab was salty, the lamb chops were good. For our entrees we had shrimp, ribeye, and a crab cake. The shrimp were a 10 out of 10, the ribeye was pretty good and tasty, but the crab cake was very salty.

This is a wonderful hidden secret. The wait was 45 min. But believe me it was worth the wait. I ordered the fried seafood platter with a baked potato (1crab cake, 1 piece of fish,5 shrimp, 4 hush puppies) the baked potato was so nice and soft along with the soft rolls that were served with honey butter. My honey had the rack of lamb chops with broccoli and cheese along with mashed potatoes (the lamb was cooked beautifully with the grill marks and he stated they where nice and tender with a great flavor but could have stood a little more seasoning. The waitress we had was absolutely PHENOMENAL, she never missed a beat because the restaurant was packed. The decor was very nice also but they're going to need a bigger facility soon if business keeps booming the way it is now. And yes call and make a reservation if not you will be as I said earlier on the waitlist ....I can't wait to go back , ENJOY

Much better experience this evening than our first visit when they had just opened! They have definitely ironed out the kinks, as we had hoped. Service was impeccable, steaks cooked to perfection and this time my loaded baked potato was piping hot! Hubby's Caesar was also much better this time around. Definitely our new go to steakhouse in this area!

Went on Father's Day and I didn't realize they had a limited menu for the holiday. The fried seafood platter was pretty standard and what you would expect, though the hushpuppies are definitely good. The crab stuffed salmon was really good! Drinks were strong and the bartender who served us was so nice and funny! Overall had a good experience and would probably try the steaks next time as opposed to the seafood

Prime 757's new permanent restaurant on Independence is a great neighborhood spot with a solid menu and friendly service. I recommend kicking off with the she-crab soup which was served traditional style with a touch of sherry. Delicious. The ambiance is that of a friendly neighborhood spot with a full bar and plenty of seating. The two time I wen it wasn't overly crowded, so the noise level was very reasonable. They are pretty new, so there are a few wrinkles still being ironed out, but Prime 757 is worth a visit for lunch or dinner!

I went yesterday for their soft opening, and it went a little odd. The waitress was absolutely lovely, and very quick with service. However, I bit into their "famous" hush puppies and a long hair came out. I showed the waitress the hair and she was very apologetic and said the back wanted to know if I'd like them remade, so I agreed. They come back and they're cold. I truly believe they just took off the one with the hair and gave me the exact same plate. I sent them back, and just asked at this point to take them off the bill and forget it. They did offer me a different appetizer, but after that I wasn't interested. My food was okay, but after that I was completely turned off. I hope they work on keeping the food hair free. I did still tip 20 percent because it isn't the waitresses fault, but that hair thing and then bringing me back a cold order really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Went last night for dinner. Everything was great, food, service, ambiance. Filet was tasty and tender, each course came out at the right time at the right temperature. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

Food truck turned restaurant- supper clean place, very pretty colors and very reasonable prices...

Happy New Year! So a friend of mine suggested we dine here, she followed the owner from when he was a food truck! First let me say the place was beautiful, very clean... I don't normally sit in booths because they are dark and sticky and gross, but this place is fresh, new, clean, the seats are light colored and you can see the floor. Very cozy. The food was well seasoned. The fries were crispy and delicious... so much so I forgot to take a picture before I dug in. I will be going back to try steak and other items. Today I got the grouper, it could have been fried a little harder, for my liking but was tasty and delicious. The owner stopped by our table a couple times Mike.. super pleasant guy! The waitress was awesome very attentive. The hush puppies were the star of this trip... I love hush puppies these were well cooked and seasoned. The facade of the building outside absolutely does not reflect the ambiance and experience inside... check it out . The photo is of my friends food she got the grouper and shrimp lunch plate it was $22... I got grouper only because I am allergic to shellfish. The prices were very reasonable. And of course the hush puppies...

This is not the Brass Bell we once knew.
    Pat G.

This is not the Brass Bell we once knew. Much classier. The overhead lighting gave it away right away. No more picnic tables or pool table graced the floors either. Everything has been replaced with higher elegance. We aren't talking Ruth's Chris but just several notches higher than it was. We were seated in a lovely booth. The seat wasn't dreadfully low and the table wasn't under my chin, just right, hand me some porridge. Oh I miss doing this. (Hub and I are staring at 70 and are getting edgy so needed a date night.) He ordered a Mocktail I ordered a wine "with dinner". We each ordered a salad, he ordered a soup, I ordered a 6 oz tenderloin MR, baked, he did a sirloin MR, baked and we ordered a mushroom/onion. SHEW, I think I got it all. His soup was not even close to hot but won't complain and I don't do it for him. His house salad looked just like a house salad, you know what I'm talking, well thumb tapping about. My Cesar was cut Romain, a few shaves of parm and boxed croutons. That's it for the salads. Easy to forget about. The meat and potatoes came in at a fairly good time. I should have asked for the butter and sour cream on the side (do it) there was plenty. The spuds were well cooked and hot! We were both pleased with the cook and flavor of our beef. I had reminded our server about the missing shrooms. We waited and waited. We wanted them and my Red Wine with that BEEF! They came but there should have not have been a wait time. Mushrooms are meant to be eaten with beef. Just try to tell be I am wrong! However in their defense they were delicious. Prime 757 kept a rather large piece of Brass Bell. Go have a great meal and look for it.

Honestly, we were worried. Prime 757 popped up as a food truck but the GPS directed us to a physical location. IThe restaurant was fairly empty but very well appointed with a full bar and contemporary interior. I noted that it had been open since 11am. We stopped for lunch around 2pm and there were no customers in the establishment... curious. The manager (maybe owner) came off as a bit overbearing when suggesting dishes since my partner specifically asked for a recommendation from the chef but I quickly understood once our server Ava noted that the space had only been open for 2 months. My perception shifted to an overly-involved manager/owner to someone who truly wanted to ensure success and share what their staff can do. The service was lovely, although I personally have a pet peeve with servers touching their hair during service. Ava was attentive, followed the rules and nailed suggested selling (go Ava). The food, delicious. The chef, King recommended the pork chop. It DID NOT disappoint. Moist, flavorful and enticing to the eye the pork chop was the star of the table. However the burger and fish po'boy were very close contenders. Tender, flavorful and satisfying are just a few words that can describe the culinary experience. My only regret was we weren't able to try any cocktails (I had my eye few of the coffee based drinks). Not to worry, it'll be top of mind for next visit. Great job, Prime 757!

Both the host and our server were very friendly. The restaurant itself is nice - it has a dark, masculine decor vibe. While I loved the types of chairs they use, I will say their tables for two are very small. They had this little side table type of thing and that was where I had to put my purse and some of the extra dishes to have room. We had the Wyagu Ribeye and the Picahna steak. Both were very good and cooked to perfection. I had the risotto which I didn't feel was cooked right; it had a gummy texture. The Cesar salad was one of the best I've had. I am not sure if their dressing is house made but it was very good and the addition of prosciutto was a nice touch! I also had a Paloma that was very fresh! Now this is supposed to be a steak house and cantina. The decor did give traditional cantina vibes, but the menu did not offer many traditional cantina type foods. If you are looking for cantina style dishes, you may find yourself disappointed. We did do the guacamole though, and it was just OK I'd say. Would I come back? For the steak and salad yes. Otherwise it was a little underwhelming to the price!

Not being able to eat at those other restaurants was the BEST thing that could have happened to us that day! The ambiance and the gentle vibe you get when you walk in this place is palpable. And the food lives up to the ambiance too. My party haslamb chops, cowboy steak, asparagus and a myriad of sides that came with these meals. I heard lots of "oohs" and "this is delicious" from my family. Unfortunately, I am a vegan and the choices were virtually nonexistent for me--but in Gaston's defense, they are an Italian steakhouse (they never said they catered to vegans). We were greeted immediately, seated right away, and our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. Before ordering, I actually spoke with the owner, Gaston, because I wanted his recommendation for the best steak on the menu. He confidently recommended the Cowboy Ribeye, assuring me that it was one of their signature steaks. I ordered it medium rare with a little char, exactly the way I enjoy it. I also asked if I could substitute the mashed potatoes and broccoli for another side since I don't eat either of those. I was told substitutions were not allowed. For a $60 steak, I found that disappointing. I wasn't asking for anything extravagant--just a different vegetable or a simple side salad. When my steak arrived, it was much smaller than I expected for the price and didn't resemble the Cowboy Ribeye I was anticipating. It was cooked slightly over medium rare, and while it wasn't terrible, the flavor was only average and had a slightly off taste, almost as if the broiler hadn't been cleaned recently. To make matters worse, the mashed potatoes and broccoli I had specifically asked to leave off the plate were served anyway. To be fair, the service was excellent. Our waitress handled everything professionally and even apologized for the sides, explaining the kitchen had plated them before she could stop it. The chicken scallopini ordered by someone else in our party was very good, and the other chicken entrées were also enjoyed. Unfortunately, I came for the steak, and that's where the experience fell well short of expectations. At this price point, I expected a high-quality cut of beef, some flexibility with side dishes, and an overall experience that matched the cost. Instead, it felt like every effort was made to minimize portions and avoid accommodating a simple request. I always try to support local restaurants, and I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews. But when you're paying premium prices, the food should reflect it. Based on my experience, I can't recommend the steaks here.

The ambiance was nice, the open kitchen with the wood fire hearth right at the entrance added a warm cozy feel from the onset. The restaurant was warmly lit but not dark. We were seated immediately in the far left dining area in an elevated booth. After reviewing the menu we settled on the fried deviled eggs and wood fire oysters for starters and the Vincent Vega pizza for dinner. Fried deviled eggs was a first for us and it was so good! The egg white was breaded very lightly and fried and the egg yolk was piped on top with a piece of smoky delicious bacon goodness. It had a nice smoky, bacon-y taste and we devoured them. I only wish you got more than 2 pieces. I think 4 pieces would be better for the price considering it's essentially one egg but I'm not complaining. The wood fire oysters was another hit for us, the serving came with 6 half shell oysters topped with breadcrumbs (light), swimming in butter and fire roasted. I think we ate these even faster than the deviled eggs lol! Would definitely get these again. The pizza also did not disappoint. If you like bacon, mushrooms and creamy Boursin cheese, you'll love this pizza. We added crushed red pepper flakes which added a nice kick. The crust is the star of the show; thin, crispy but still has body and slightly chewy. Yum! That wood fire hearth definitely makes a difference. For drinks, I kept it simple with a tequila sunset and substituted pineapple juice for orange juice a good drink! Now for the meals. I ordered the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and green beans. I hate to even say this because I had such high hopes, but the lamb chops lacked seasoning for me. I ordered them medium, but they were definitely more medium rare. I love a medium rare ribeye, but not so much with lamb chops. The mashed potatoes and green beans were decent, but overall needed a little more flavor. My husband had the Butcher's Burger with wedges. He said it was a solid burger, slightly overcooked, but still good overall. He did enjoy the different flavor the pork belly added. My daughter ordered the Pasta Pescatore and said it was good, but not necessarily an "oh my goodness, I have to come back for this" type of dish. Overall, because so many people told me I would LOVE The Butcher's Son, I think my expectations were extremely high. The experience and service were excellent, but the food itself didn't completely wow me. It was good, just probably not my first choice for a return visit.

The atmosphere is nice, the food is spectacular, service this time was just ok but not something that would ruin our night. Our waiter was very absent for the most part, it did take a while for us to get our drinks and order; not much check backs for refills and such but overall he was a good server. The food is always amazing, I've never had a negative experience for their food. And the location is nice. The establishment is clean, more on the higher end, we came in dressed to impress for our date but you had a mix of how people were dressed. Down to just your everyday wear. 10/10 recommend

The bartender was very sweet and provided us with menus right away. Since I had a "Dine-In Only Bottle" available as a member, I ordered a bottle Cabernet Sauvignon, which is my absolute favorite. We also decided on the House-Made Meatballs (another favorite), the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini, which is a "featured" item, and the Classic Cheeseburger. While we waited, we chatted with others at the bar and since we all wanted to sample the Wine of the Month, the Blanc de Noirs, our bartender was able to provide us with a tasting, which we enjoyed. It took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive but everything tasted amazing, as always. The House-Made Meatballs never miss and the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini were amazing! My daughter enjoyed her Cheeseburger as well. Cooper's Hawk will forever be my one of favorite restaurants and I can't wait to return!!!

From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and made for a wonderful dining experience. I decided to try several items from the **Seasonal Chef Recommendations** menu, and every course was excellent. I started with the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini, followed by the Shanghai Braised Short Ribs, which were incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I finished the meal with the S'mores dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending. During my wine tasting, I discovered the Vin Velouté. It was so good that I couldn't leave without taking a bottle home! I was also thrilled to learn that the Watermelon Paloma wine has returned--and even better, it's now a permanent addition to the wine lineup instead of just a seasonal favorite. That was exciting news! This visit truly reminded me why I've enjoyed coming to Cooper's Hawk over the years. Great food, outstanding service, an enjoyable wine tasting, and a wonderful overall experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We had a reservation for five. Their answer to that was to sit us at a four person hi-top and stick a chair on the end so everyone was crammed in, and sitting on the end meant everyone kept bumping into me the whole night. As for the distillery- someone had the brilliant idea to turn off all the lights in there at 7- so there went your view and any ambient lighting in the dim basement. The service was slow and lackluster. The food was lousy. I had the venison, which was under-seasoned. The pepper gravy had no pepper in it. Only the Brussels sprouts had any actual flavor. The bourbon was the best part of the meal. They offer small 2ox tasters and it was actually quite well done. But not worth going back for.

Stopped by for a burger and a beer to drown in my solitude. Had great service. Prompt, attentive and genuine. Only downside was some pretentious guy named Jeff kept whining about the hostess and the service being "special needs" because he couldn't get his group prompt service under 15 minutes on a special holiday. If it wasn't for some derogative guy whining off the bell about how the service wasn't up to par every couple minutes I'd have enjoyed what would've been quite a depressing day for me. Other than that, burger was damn heavenly. Beer was cold and good. Service was grand. Some people just ruin it for others. Great spot, great burger, good beer and good folks. B.W.

The last time I set foot inside their Pleasure House Rd location was at least 10 years ago. I celebrated my birthday there as my friends were kind enough to take me out. It was a Sunday morning and I sought out a place that offered brunch. I noticed 1608 was open and decided to head over, especially since I haven't visited them in ages. When I walked in, I noticed their dining room is dimly lit - much darker than I remember. I was greeted immediately by a kind hostess and she proceeded to sit me at a nearby table and provided me with menus (one food, one alcohol). I took my time looking over the food menu, and in the meantime I ordered a pint of Center of the Universe's Bald Irishman and a bottle of Boylan's Black Cherry soda (they do not have a soda fountain). What made this visit memorable was that 1608's bartender, Hunter, was an old acquaintance from back in my restaurant days. He spotted me and came over to say hi. After my meal, I continued to catch up with him at the bar. His presence made a pleasant experience even more fantastic. I thought I was hungry, so I ordered 2 dishes - Smoked Ham Fried Rice and the Breakfast Burrito. According to Hunter, every item is made fresh in house. After biting into each, you could tell that's true. Both the fried rice and burrito were delicious and boasted lots of flavor. Although I prefer my fried rice a bit simpler (if you give me just garlic fried rice, I am SET), 1608's fried rice (veggies, garlic, soy, basmati rice, 2 runny eggs, smoked ham) had a lot going on, which made for a flavorful dish. I liked the rice and the burrito (Korean style fried chicken breast, scrambled eggs, cilantro lime, cheddar, pico de gallo) a lot. I didn't finish either because it was a lot of food (I really thought I was hungry, haha). But these leftovers turned into a fantastic dinner later on. 1608 looked clean and organized, although I thought it was a little too dark inside, at least for brunch service. That's not a dealbreaker since everything from the food to the service was as excellent as I remember. I hope to return soon with my mom. Regardless, I'll find my way back eventually. Thank you, 1608 Crafthouse! And great seeing you again, Hunter! JV

P.S: The server and host were attentive and nice, so the low rating is entirely for the food. My bf and I ordered a truffle fries to share, I ordered the Braveheart Ribeye with broccolini and risotto(forgot what flavor but it was cooked in a cream sauce), and my bf ordered the Ribeye Lasagna. The truffle fries: the fries tasted fresh but they looked like the b-dub fries. Comes with ketchup, which I was hoping for some sort of aioli for an upscale chophouse. The Braveheart Ribeye: The temperature was what I asked for(medium rare), but the char is straight up crispy brunt and bitter as if I'm eating charcoal pieces. I also ordered a demi glaze on the side, and that tasted and looked like some McCormick sauce. No demi-glaze flavor and the color is transparent like those powdered gravy packets. The broccolini was bitter. They were tucked under the steak so maybe the brunt from the steak went onto the broccolini... The risotto was creamy but they were undercooked cuz they were still hard. My bf said his Ribeye Lasagna just tasted like a normal lasagna like he couldn't tell the difference of normal beef and the "ribeye meat" that they used, but it was a big size and the sauce was pretty good so he thinks it's worth the money. The creme brulee... I have this tradition with my bf which we will order a creme brulee(if the restaurant provides) during our first visit. I'm no Michelin creme brulee reviewer, but I'd say I tried and made enough creme brulee to identify what a standard and good creme brulee is, and unfortunately this just ain't one. The flame on top is a cool gimmick but it melts the supposedly crispy top to a little too soft (we waited for about 5 mins after the flame was gone before eating it). The texture of the creme was NOT creme brulee but more like flan, when the creme should've been more of a custard/solid but creamy like texture. We were told their creme brulee has a little orangey-taste to it, but the orangey taste just totally covers the flavor of creme brulee. All we could taste was a bitter orange flan. Although my bf likes his lasagna, we both agreed that for this price we would've expected better tasting food. I have no doubt that the ingredients they used were high quality, but this is just not gonna go nowhere when you don't have the right chef to cook them.
