There was a line when we got there on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30pm and that took about 20 minutes before we could order. All of us got the triple play which is an order of three tacos any flavor u want. I loved my spicy crispy shrimp and my families choice of carne asada and the battered up. Bahn mi had a tang I didn't love and the grilled fish was fine but not as flavorful as the crispy shrimp and carne asada. My family loved the Gangnam style, crispy shrimp, carne asada and grilled shrimp best. Hard to recommend certain tacos bc everyone has different ideas about what they like but I couldn't get over the crispy shrimp crunch with tender juicy interior. We came here for our beach day lunch as tacos are great beach food! It was a short walk from East Beach and I was a bit surprised when we arrived. I thought we were at the wrong place as all I saw at first were batting cages. But there was the window to order and the menu boards I saw in all the Yelp photos... and a row of picnic tables next to the cages where you could sit and eat. They've got tacos, burgers, hot dog, but I was here for the tacos. I did the "Triple Play" (3 tacos) and I got Batter Up (fried cod), Ahi Poke, and Grilled Fish. The tacos were flavorful but I felt there was too much of the pico de gallo, aioli, etc. I feel that with really good fish tacos, the fish should be the star, not all the toppings/sauces. I loved the wonton shell for the Ahi Poke but it had way too much wasabi aioli for me that overpowered the fish. My wife enjoyed her tacos but I thought they were decent. I do give them bonus points for the unique set up- I'm a big baseball fan, so I really wished I wore shoes instead of my flip flops so I could get some swings in after my tacos! This taco place is a real winner! The whole vibe of this outside eatery is really chill and beachy. There is plenty of seating available for all different party sizes and the area is kept well clean. The building for ordering is also nicely kept, with their artsy, neatly pressed chalkboard menu on the wall. For a refreshment stand for batting cages, we didn't expect one of the tacos to have an amazing wasabi aioli on it and the guacamole to be perfectly seasoned. He found this place on google and we drove over. It shares the space and parking lot with a batting cage. They have a very extensive taco menu but you won't find any rice/beans type of plates here. It's just a taco stand. You can get some chips and guac or salads, but no burritos either. Not even Horchata! Strictly tacos here. Christian took our order and had a very pleasant demeanor to him. I got 4 tacos, all on flour tortillas: carne asada, chicken, and grilled shrimp (2). My son got 4 as well: carne asada, crispy cod, crispy shrimp, and Gangnam style. His were all on corn tortillas except for the carne asada which was on flour. All the tacos came with a side of chips and salsa. I can't stress enough how FRESH everything was, starting with the chips. So light and CRISP and not greasy/oily at all. The meats and seafood were all extremely fresh and well-cooked. It was all simply so delicious and we inhaled all our food. The service was not only pleasant but also FAST! Our order was ready about 5 minutes after we placed it. There is only outdoor seating available and all the tables were instantly cleaned by an employee the moment people got up to leave. They have one gender neutral bathroom which was very clean! The location is great since right after you're done at the batting cages you can fuel back up with tacos. Visiting Santa Barbara for the first time and stopped by to check out due to the great review and so happy we did!!! This is only a grab and go or sit outside. There is no inside dining and there is only one restroom tucked on the side. The tacos are amazing, so we had to stop by again the next day on our way out of town. There are batting cages right next door, so you can see and hear the batters. There are also long lines most of the time, so ideal if you're not in a hurry but lines go pretty fast. We found ourselves in SB for the day and since we were at the coast, we both wanted a really amazing fish taco. East Beach Tacos was nearby and the photos looked great. They have tacos, ceviche, burgers, dogs, etc. we ordered the fish and chips, and two classic trios. Tacos were Carnitas, po boy, chicken, asada, gamgnahm style, and the spicy shrimp. Tacos looked beautifully presented and they come with a great chipotle sauce, chips and lemon. Everything was ok. For me I think the Carnitas were the best, and I am not really a carnitas guy. The shrimp was beautifully cooked, a nice layer of batter. Just a little bland. I did not like Gangnahm style, I was expecting some bulgogi beef style but it was more like chunks of asada smothered in a korean sauce. Asada and chicken were fine. Fish and chips were good too, perfect amount of batter, just still a little on the bland side. The tartar sauce was exceptional, as well as the chipotle sauce. Overall it was a decent spot. It wasn't something that blew my mind where I crave it and have to go back but if I was local and wanted to hit some balls for a few hours, this would be so much better than your typical hot dog stand fare. read more

My husband and I were up in Santa Barbara celebrating our 10th anniversary, and we were craving tacos. We saw that this place has great reviews, so we decided to check it out. There's a small parking lot, and street parking available (although limited). We walked up from the beach, which was an easy and enjoyable walk.
