They will nickel and dime you like their families will starve to death at the same time act so annoyed when you walk in. They are not people people at all. i came here because it was right down the street and also open an hour before everywhere else. my piercing was pretttyyyy infected and they were so patient with me and were able to help me with what i needed. also i love how cool and caring all the staff is! they have #maximum aura and made me feel comfortable :D it's also really refreshing to see people in a professional environment with facial piercings, because it made me feel more welcome in a way. definitely recommend this place tho, beats everywhere else read more

My vist was 4/25/26. I was seen by PA Marshall. I explained my history of sinus diease, surgery, allergy injections. My 2 week history of severe sinus symptoms consistent with sinus infection. She dismissed every thing I related to her and prescribed honey. When I asked if there was a physician avaible, I was abruptly told to leave. I had to ask for my discharge page work or was not going to receive it. After leaving , I called my physician . I informed her of my history of symptoms and she diagnosed sinus infection and prescripted antibiotics . Another misdiagnosis for this Clinic. I should have read reviews prior to making the mistake of going there. I am going to contact my health insurance company and let them know how unprofessional this Clinic is run. I would rate them less than no star, but that wasn't an option. If you are ill and don't believe you are properly treated, it is appropriate to ask for another opinion. Just don't go here. They advertise x-rays daily 9-5 but apparently not on Sunday. Very disappointing! Came here because it was the closest urgent care to offer x-rays and we needed an x-ray to see if it was pneumonia but apparently it only applies Monday through Friday, very disappointed because it states on their website x-rays 9 to 5. I've never written a review on yelp before, but I had the worst experience here, I feel like I've got to share just for my own peace of mind. I have been sick for a week and it's been so bad that I couldn't even make it to work for the past few days. I have been trying to get in to see literally any doctor for a while and I finally got told to come here. After arriving, I was immediately dismissed by everyone I spoke to. I get it, I'm 19, kinda bad at talking, and have the tendency to dress like a slacker, but this is a doctor's office, why would I come here as a joke? At 2:35pm, I checked in, the receptionist asked for my concerns and I said that I was sent here by the Tricare Nurses Hotline and told her all of my symptoms to which she said something along the lines of "I'm just going to put fatigue. The rest is probably just because of the lack of sleep". That immediately put me on edge, but I chalked it up to that's what the system lists on the drop down. At 3:24, I started to feel sicker, I began feeling dizzy and out of breath, so I asked the receptionist how long she thought it'd be and she said she'd try and get me seen, and she did, so I'm grateful for that. At 3:40, I was called back. The nurse doing such was passive from the start. I walked up to her and she didn't so much as say hello before telling me 'room two' and waiting for me to go. In the room, she took my vitals, but despite my legs being crossed and telling her i was wearing three layers of clothes, she said "That doesn't matter." I was left in the room for about ten minutes at which I realized I had to use the restroom, I poked my head out to ask where it was and was told to give a urine sample while I was in there, no big deal. I walk in to the bathroom and at first glance it looks nasty. The urine sample cups were regular cardboard starbucks cups with flimsy plastic lids and a line for you to write your name with a sharpie (that I doubt was regularly cleaned). There was a small door for you to leave your collected sample and after I left the bathroom, I realized that the door connects, not to a closed off nurses station, but a hallway. At around 4:12, I spoke with the doctor who listened to my list of concerns and said "that sounds like more like anxiety than any illness" and only tested me for strep or mono after I said that a nurse I spoke to over the phone mentioned strep. I told her the lymph nodes on the front of my neck were swollen and she did a five second cursory feel of the nodes on the back of my neck. Never once touching the ones that were actually a concern. At 4:40, I was discharged. Some things on my discharge paperwork concerned me so I brought it up and was told by a nurse that "that's normal or you're probably dehydrated". I left the office with nothing but two wasted hours, no diagnosis, and a determination to go to literally any urgent care but this one in the future. Oh, and guess what! I went to the ER the next day: I have the flu. So thanks for nothing, I guess. read more

This place has gone down in patient care and quality. I went here 2 years ago for stomach pain and recently, a COVID exam. Both experiences back then were great. However, today (17May22), I was dissapointed by the treatment of the front desk ladies. My cousin needed an Xray for work today so we did a walk-in. We forgot to bring our masks and asked the front desk for masks, in which she was VERY reluctant to give and even rolled her eyes. Absolutely unnecessary. Throughout our entire conversation with her, she was so unfriendly, unwelcoming, and sighing. The ladies inside the actual clinic were nice. However, the front desk really ruined it for us. Then, while waiting for my cousin to finish up, a guy came in without a mask and they told him to grab a mask from his car. He walked out to his car and as soon as the door closed, she said, "when are we going to start charging for this sh*t?" (Referring to the masks)... I was sitting right in front of her! Also, the whole time, they had their masks down to their chins! She was so unprofessional. She made sure to tell us that the next time we come back, to make sure that we bring our own masks. When my son unexpectedly needed COVID-19 testing prior to sports travel we were left scrambling. With the omicron variant running rampant it's almost impossible to get a test scheduled. The location is easy to access and parking is plentiful. They are beside COVA. Signage heading West is high at the top of the building. So I started with chains to get testing like CVS, Walgreens, urgent cares such as CHKD & hospitals such as Sentara with no luck. Our family doctor was closed on a Sunday. A friend recommended independent East Beach Urgent Care. I was able to schedule a drive up test the same day. Staff was great, rapid results within an hour. Communication began with their text system as phones went to voice mail with the large volume. With this being one of the few locally owned urgent care businesses in the area I would recommend for that reason alone. The owners live across the street I understand. They delivered on efficient and friendly service with urgency to have a completed COVID test in 24 hours. If you have an urgent care you love great! No appointment times immediately available for a COVID19 test, but when secured, things went off like clockwork. It was like a drive thru bank. We arrived early but we're quickly accommodated. There were two cars ahead of us and it took approximately 15 minutes each. We opted to have the results emailed rather than waiting 15 for the results. The registration over the phone two days earlier was a bit of a hassle, sending photos of id and insurance cards, but it all worked out in the end. I can't say enough good things about this urgent care which is a rarity to come by these days! I've never waited longer than 30 minutes to be seen. I think the staff is 100% women or close! That always makes me feel comfortable. All the women there are kind, understanding, and they help educate me about everything I ask. I come back to East Beach Urgent Care each time I need a walk-in clinic (despite driving past two other clinics on my way to them). I've always had a positive experience with the staff. As expected during cold & flu season, I had a longer than usual wait today. However, when it was my turn to be seen, the nurses and doctor gave me their full attention, asked questions, and made sure I was leaving with a sense of solution to my symptoms. Need to go to Urgent Care? GO HERE!! Who knew that an urgent care with walk-ins, scheduled appointments, clean and bright rooms, and stocked with happy staff existed?!? I would have told you it was not possible until I came here today. I woke up feeling like someone had been using me as a punching bag all night. I ached all over, my throat was swollen, mild pain behind my ears, and a snot factory being constructed in my head. Of course it's a Saturday and my PCP is closed weekends. Of course I just recently recovered from dual ruptured ear drums. Yay The only other good experience I've had with urgent care is Patient First but I had no desire to drive out to VA Bch on Saturday..... With lovely weather. My hunt for someplace local lead me here. Awesome reviews on Google but none on Yelp (1st!!!). Plus under 5 miles from my door to theirs. This place is so lovely! Bright and airy, everything is fresh and clean. Checked in online and prepped new patient paperwork prior to arrival so check-in was fast and easy. From arrival to departure: 1 hour. The receptionist told me they don't see people in person, at the clinic, for the following things: Sinus proplems Cough Sore throat Congestion or any other symptom of Covid. Fast service for very minor urgent care needs. They have limited space but they make it work. Less convoluted than other urgent care locations, the sign-in process is informal compared to Sentara Velocity UC. I'm not sure when an MD works or if the only staff NPs and PAs and have an MD supervise. What an excellent place. I cannot explain how great full I am today. Went in because of a terrible ear ache, got me in as a walk in, well because my pcp is closed. The wait wasn't to bad 1 hour from time I walked in to the time I walked out with what was wrong and a way to fix it. The real reason for this review isn't because of the treatment I received while I was there, but after the fact. I called in about 10 minutes to closing and they took my phone call, and got my script fixed and resent to a 24 hour pharmacy so I could start my medication today instead of waiting until tomorrow at some point. I know with most places I've personally been to the staff would of easily let my problem rest until the next day. But not here. If you need help this is the place to be. Excellent staff, great service. I hope I don't become a regular but next time a issue comes up I will certainly come here. read more

Okay, so I was mad skeptical when I saw that this place had five stars because I figured that was impossible for urgent care facilities since Patient First has me super jaded. But this place... This place. I'm floored. First thing when you walk in, it actually feels like a clean and sterile environment. Not some dingy looking sick people holding room. The receptionist and office manager were both in attendance at the front desk. They were both jovial and you could tell they enjoyed their jobs. They were kind and explained everything very well about how things work at East Beach Urgent Care. I was impressed by their professionalism and warmth. It's all too easy to go to urgent care when you already feel like crap and you get treated poorly by the employers there. We've all seen it. But not here. Not at East Beach. Moving on to the examination room. The wait was far less than the other big name urgent cares in the area. I was brought back in a reasonable amount of time. The room was clean and looked safe. At some other places I get worried I'll get something from the old equipment and whatnot but everything here is nice, new, and in good repair. In addition to that, they have a cute tablet on a stand to entertain you while you wait the few minutes it takes for the PA or doctor to get to you. I didn't utilize it but from what I could see, it had informative materials on it as well as other ways to pass the time. There was also what appeared to be an oversize tablet on the wall that could be used. The bottom of the screen said tap to begin. I did not tap to begin so I'm not sure what it's for but maybe it is similar to the smaller tablet. Anyway, the big one cycled through pages of health-related information. Overall, I was in and out in an acceptable amount of time and treated with kindness the entire way. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually looking forward to the next time I'll need to go back for urgent care needs. Keep up the great work team! OH! And apparently I was the 1,000th or 10,000th patient so I got a free t-shirt and my photo taken for their social media so that was really cool and a pleasant surprise when I was feeling crappy from my cold. read more
