while on vacation retuning home, the engine on my truck suffered catastrophic engine failure while pulling a 5th wheel camper. I live in Michigan so rather than wait 2 weeks to have the engine replaced I traded it in for a new truck. I needed to have the new truck set up for a 5th wheel hitch. The dealer that I bought the truck recommended east coast rv to have it installed. I told them over the phone what I had and what I needed and the said they would get the parts and install it the next day. the next day i dropped it off and they installed it. I was expecting the same type of setup I had in my old truck. They put something in totally different and a lot more expensive. It raised my hitch about 3" higher and now my camper does not ride level. I believe they took advantage of my situation too get as much money as they could from me. I do not recommend them because They seem to make profit a priority over customer satisfaction. read more

We knew what camper we wanted so I searched my local area to find a dealer that had it in stock. All conversations/negotiations were made via email which was very nice where other dealerships wouldn't give me straight prices. Once we agreed on a price we drove to the dealership and they had the camper all set up for us. The guy that did the walk-through was very knowledgeable about the camper. He answered all the questions and even more that we had. I must say the parts and service department is what makes this dealership amazing. I had a part that needed replaced so I called them and they were able to squeeze me in since we were driving past them to go to a campground. We arrived and they evaluated the problem within 20 minutes it was replaced and we are on our way. Definitely recommend east coast RV specialist!! read more

They were also very competitive on their prices and couldn't be beat. We have done more work to repair or correct ECRVs "fixes" than any other unit we have had combined. The final straw and reason we are obligated to warn everyone who trusts honest reviews occurred after the water tank fell -repeat fell- out off the RV (sitting in our garage, not moving THANKFULLY). Previously, ECRVs "repaired" issue with water tank under warranty, they would not admit tank was removed. However the manufacturer rep stated they charged removal under warranty; also meaning tank hardware was removed, then "replaced" or "reused". I have found all the hardware that should have been used to secure brackets was not there or is missing. Note that this compartment was sealed so anything loose or falling out of place would be evident. This means that we would & have experienced a catastrophic failure, which could've lead to a fatality, placed squarely on their hands. Another sign of the workmanship this dealer shoves out the door. Be aware that safety is NOT a priority at this place nor is customer service nor is standing behind their work or product. It is beyond belief the terrible qualty, service, & post sale experiences encountered with this dealership. read more

I live in Connecticut and while looking for a new fifth wheel camper we had narrowed it down to a specific model. We found "THE CAMPER" at East Coast RVs, it was the make, model, floor-plan, interior and upholstery colors, the only option it didn't have was the second A/C which was added at a reasonable cost. Now we were a few month's away from being comfortably ready to buy but when we talked price they offered us a figure that we couldn't pass up, it was thousands below anyone else within 500 miles. All this aside I was still quite apprehensive about such a major purchase sight unseen and nearly 8 hours from home. I read many (good) reviews and spent a lot of time between phone calls and emails talking with Chuck Snyder, who assured me it was not unusual to feel that way but that they in fact have many long distance customers. He assured me that if there were any warranty issues they'd be right there for me, so we made the leap. At one point prior to placing the deposit there was a bit of a hitch and mis-communication within their dealership and Chuck went to bat and saved the whole deal for us, standing by his promise and word, I don't know about anybody else but that means a lot to me in this day and age. So the day came to go out and pick up our new camper and we met a whole lot of nice people that took the time to go through the new camper with us. After we took delivery we went right from the dealership to a campground (they even took the time to flush our water system out and get us ready to go camping while we were getting our walk through). during the next few days we discovered a leak in the camper, fortunately it wasn't in a bad spot, (turned out to be a blocked drain under a slide) and we were still west of Bedford. When I called East Coast and explained the problem they immediately made arraignments to get us in on our way back to Connecticut when it suited us, absolutely no problems accommodating us. We got there during their lunch break, but they took the time to review the problem (and a few other minor things) and get us in immediately. Fortunately it was a relatively easy fix and we were on our way a few hours later (BTW Friendship Village Campground next to and behind the dealership is a very nice campground). As large purchase experiences go this was fraught with apprehension for me but Chuck and the staff at East Coast RV Specialists made it a smooth and enjoyable experience. My only regret? I don't live closer so we could visit more often. Would I do this again? Absolutely! If I'm ever in the market for another camper...or if anyone I know is...I would not hesitate to go to East Coast RV again or to recommend them to anyone I know. Adam J. read more
