Horrible experience! The correct name for this business is Low Country Fabric and Upholstery located at 55 Sam's Point Rd, Beaufort, SC 29907. Not only was the quality horrible, but I was charged 8% sales tax when none was due (per Dept of Revenue, no tax on services where no goods were sold) but also charged 4% fee for using my debit card (not permitted for debit), and an undisclosed cutting fee. Great service! Staff is friendly and couldn't ask for better quality!

I am so angry. I brought in two used stools to get an estimate before I bought the fabric. I was given an estimate of $130 per stool ! So I went ahead and ordered the fabric and had them reupholster the stools. When I picked them up the charge was $250 each! And when I questioned it I was told that is what they were told to charge me because the stools were harder to do than they thought. These guys are great! They recently restuffed three sofa cushions that the dog had ruined in shape, and after they were cleaned with the sofa they look just great. Also, they repaired tears in a slip cover and a seat cushion which couldn't be currently used, and worked me to get them done. They are so busy, yet accommodating. I have had them re-cover a sofa, and a chair and ottoman and which was very timely and they have held up very well - even with 2-4 dogs, at any given time. Terrible- really! I don't think they own a ruler. Rude people!! They do not do what's asked, mess it up then blame it on the sewing machine, demand you pay for their mess up,..... I will pray that they go out of business. Poor representation of our beautiful low country. read more

I would not recommend this company. They lost my original pillow covers even though specified that I wanted to keep them because they matched my decor. Then they lied about it for multiple days. Fabric selection is not great and not very current. read more

We had 4 cushions done, and two very unusually shaped chair cushions. They turned out great and I have recommended them to others. I am about to do more work with them again. Have found them to be courteous, helpful and the job was done on time. read more

We had four cushions re-upholstered and are very happy with the workmanship. The striped material is properly aligned on the top and front and the lumbar bolsters also have the stripes aligned with the bottom cushions. Quick turnaround. read more

We just moved down to Beaufort recently. Ron, Joey, and Anthony ( and others - its a family business) could not have been more helpful as we attempt to furnish and decorate our new home. So far we have had six pieces redone to match our decor. Their prices were very fair, their work excellent. They also picked up and delivered my purchased consignment furniture from the store to my home and even carried it upstairs for no extra charge. The turnaround time has averaged one or two days. We have been very satisfied with their service and workmanship. Give them a try! read more

They get one star only because I couldn't give them zero. My mother and I stopped in the store one day and bought a large amount of Sunbrella fabric, knowing we would need a lot more. She specifically asked the clerk if we would be able to order more of the same fabric, and we were assured tha we could. Of course, this was until the day that she returned to order the fabric. The clerk working at that time told her that they only ordered discontinued fabrics. When I called to ask what they would do about it, the answer was "Maybe you could have ordered more of that fabric at that time, but you can't now." This was only two weeks between the happenings. ZERO concern over customer satisfaction. ZERO respect for the customer - I was even called "sweetie." Unfortunately, this is exactly why small, local businesses are going the way of the dodo. Another lesson in online shopping for me. I really, really can't say enough about how disrespectful and dismissive the gentleman was. He got his money from the one sale and that was enough, I suppose. Too bad, too, because I have a couch and two recliners to reupholster, and want to do custom drapes for my screened porch. read more

This is a true experience I had two wing back chairs and bought very nice fabric to reupholster them. When they were delivered by East Coast Upholstery the work was completely unacceptable and I sent them back to be done in a way which would be satisfactory. I felt patience would be on my side in getting the work done properly so I gave them several weeks. When I called to check on my chairs they would not return phone calls. Finally I went into the store to inquire and was told because it had been more than 30 days, they were no longer responsible for my chairs. They actually threatened me that I was harassing them in my efforts to find out about my chairs!! I have never seen the chairs with my expensive fabric again. I feel I have been cheated and robbed and still hope to pursue this legally. My strong advise is stay clear!!! read more

Came in for fabric and the credit card machine was down. Came back with $20 for a $7 purchase anf they told me they have no change and I would need to go to the liquor store for change. Horrible service! read more

Can't give this business any stars! Worst customer service. unprofessional. Would not fix bad sewing job or poor workmanship! The work was so bad, we had to get another sofa altogether. One star for the fabric. NO STARS for the customer service. Tried to purchase a cover for a cushion, did not receive the one that I had picked out. Had a terrible time trying to get them to redo it in the color that I wanted. Was told that they would only issue a store credit and they didn't care if we took them to Small Claims Court. The worst shop keeper I've ever dealt with. Loud obnoxious and didn't care whether we did business with them or not. Told me I must not be from the area and that I must have been from the North like Michigan because the Northerners always argue and are never satisfied. Told me I was rude and never listened to what I said but kept talking over my words. Just one look at the so called store should have told the story of their interest in the customer, a dump. No signing leads me to believe they make up prices when they see you. Go out of your way to find another place, you don't need the rude, arogant, childish treatment. read more
