I've been working at the East End Kitchens just about a year now. It has been a great experience to get my company started from the ground up. Using their professional commercial kitchens has allowed for culinary development that I could never have been able to achieve at home. Very clean, tools I need, easy access and plenty of room. They have multiple sizes of kitchen spaces and equipment to meet the needs of just about any culinary start up. The staff is very easy to work with and are dedicated to helping me achieve success. I've got nothing but great things to say about them. The environment of working in a location where everyone is like minded and there to work hard is inspiring to be around. I always look forward to booking time in the kitchen and getting to work. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful when I've needed it. East End Kitchens provides so much more than just kitchen workspaces for people to make their culinary product(s), it gives you the opportunity to be inspired, daring and creative while doing it. I have been fortunate enough to make my line of products out of this facility since they opened and I couldn't be happier. Not only are the facilities state of the art and well thought-out, but you also have the opportunity to work seemingly "side by side" but yet in separate kitchens with other amazing culinary crafters. This takes the "rental kitchen" to the next level by making it more of a community. Through this experience I have been able grow my business in a relatively short time by talking with other culinary entrepreneurs in the facility. A lot of them had the same challenges I've experienced and have given me advice on how to overcome them and encourage me to not lose sight of the end product. Before EEK opened, I used to make my products out of an industrial kitchen space that could best be described as extremely dreary and dismal. I had little inspiration in the kitchen and had to find all my outlets for getting my product to market. Moving my production facilities to EEK has given me a ton of inspiration: it's all there in the food stalls and the vibrant scene in the entire market. It has also opened up new outlets with the Honor Roll Market in the building, their association with the Santa Ana farmers market and by talking to other food makers on where they are selling their stuff. They also have close ties to Food Centricity which can help assist with any food makers challenges. The people are great, the facility is amazing and the community kicks-ass. Immaculate and loaded with everything I need! I have been renting the kitchen to teach my classes. Been prepping in this space. Kudos to 4th St Market for making this available to a community of chefs and artisans. They really got it right. Kitchen are fully stocked and separate. I repeat, separate and private! The people who run it are very organized and kind. I believe there is storage as well. I have not yet seen it in action- but they built a gluten-free kitchen and candy kitchen as well. The East End Kitchens has far exceeded my imagination and expectation. They are so clean, everything is brand new, and there are more appliances and utensils than I could ever need loaded right in those kitchens. Great area; anyone walking into the 4th Street Market will see you working, it's the first thing they see entering and last thing to see as you exit! Good! I had the absolute pleasure of working with East End Kitchens for conducting our working interviews. From the first phone call to the very last candidate Sheila went above and beyond what was expected. Not only does she care for new clients but the ones she has under her wing. We were seeking a local hot sauce and she introduced us to John from infinity sauce and then she said she knew a couple that made an amazing cold brew coffee. She introduced is to Contra coffee and I am happy to say we partnered with both! East ends has helped to make my business more efficient and more official. Their kitchens are large enough for multiple people to work, which was a big struggle when we first started. The fridge space is plenty enough to house all of your goods. My wife loves the fact I don't take up our home fridge anymore. Fair rates. Good people. read more
