Smart Kitchens is one of my favorite places to order takeout! What I love most is that the food is cooked fresh right there in the kitchen after you place your order, so everything comes out hot and fresh every time. Ordering is easy, and picking up your food is always quick and convenient. I especially recommend Gourmet Burgers if you're craving a delicious, juicy burger, and Thai Street Food by George for amazing, authentic Thai food. Both are absolutely delicious and full of flavor. This is a cool concept with multiple restaurants sharing at one location and it is all contactless. When I first entered the premise, I was waiting for someone to come out to greet me. I waited for a while and confused. LOL! There are no tables or chairs while you are waiting for the food inside. You basically order any restaurants food via Kiosk. You can purchase as many cuisines as possible in one transaction. If you have questions for a specific restaurant, simply use the ring camera under the menu to speak with the host. They see you, but you don't see them. I don't like that at all. It took me awhile to decide what to order ...... Ordered: Chicken Biryani box - It comes with Indian fried rice with dark meat chicken, yogurt dipping sauce, cucumber salad and Gulab Jamun dessert. The fried rice was completely salty. I added my own plain yogurt to make my dish taste a little better. My meal was just okay. If you want to dine here, you can sit outside. Parking is difficult find as some of the parking spots are assigned to the businesses management complex. read more

I'm at a loss for words, as it's rare that I don't recommend or encourage supporting mom-and-pop shops because they need the most support and business. Smart Kitchen is in its infancy and still has some rooms for improvements. First off, this "restaurant" is really a stall inside a ghost kitchen in an unmarked warehouse building. It's not until you find Building #17951 that you locate a suite. Once inside, there's a kiosk to order and a cage with orders that is ready for pick up. It's been 30 minutes (since the ETA provided on the application) so I had to ring the buzzer. A lady came out and said my order is still in progress. Interesting new take on food pick-up business. This location contains 5-6 different food shops, including the House of Cedar - Lebanese R that I ordered from. At first it seemed like the shop is located in the middle of nowhere. Rest assured, your food awaits at Ste F. Inside I found about 5 doorbells lined against the left wall, each for a different shop. A man who is hungry is never a good situation. I'm looking for the most cost efficient way to get as much protein as possible. Saw a decent review for the Picante Mexican restaurant and it lead me to this smart kitchen. Instead of mexican food, I changed my mind last minute after processing the fact there's other options available and saw there was a braised pork belly pot on the menu. Fantastic! In my mind, I'm thinking there's plenty of food and considering the total cost to be over $20, I'm hoping to get literally a pot of pork belly. After ordering, I walked around curious to know what else may be in the area. Disappointed with the bland surroundings, I sat outside where there are large tables and shade to wait for my food. The wait time was about 20min, which is a considerable amount of time, but not horrible like how others have shared. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt that they are cooking up a large amount of food, so i didnt mind the wait. When my phone buzzed notifying me the food is ready to devour, I quickly walked up to the pick up stand. Come to find out the "pot" of pork belly was simply a small 12oz bowl and weighed less than a pound...I seriously looked around to see if there was more, but this little packed bag was laughable and i wanted to go back to let them know how disappointed I was. Anyways, by this point, I already devoured the entire entree and wish I could take a picture to show you how small of a portion it was for the cost. I would say $8 or $9 would have been appropriate for the snack-sized entree. instead I paid more than double that for half the expectations and portions.. Extremely disappointed. The restaurant is a Chinese restaurant called Grand Yu or something. Will not be coming back to try other foods based on other reviews sharing a similar underwhelming experience. read more

What made me become a regular, other than the delicious lebanese food, their customer service, but suddenly... A girl who doesn't speak english very well, rang on goumet burger twice but she wanted the sushi love restaurant, didn't know where to ring, so the owner or employee with a beard and glasses, went outside the second time and talk very rudely to the lady saying: This is goumet burger, you want sushi love" he was harsh, disrespectful and very low class!! This uneducated person, needs to learn that if his customer service is good, even if the food is disgusting, customers will come back!! But if the food is delicious and the customer service sucks like this dude, no one will show up again!! He made me feel irritated and angry... i wished that he was talking to me at that moment to show him how to respect hisself!! I don't suggest this restaurant cz i am sure, with this personality, if you complain about your food, he might bite you!! read more

These ghost kitchens have a good concept, but the execution is lacking. Basically, you order at a kisok and they bring the food out to you, like take out style. It's suppose to be cheaper than a restaurant, but it's not really. It's pretty pricey and they do not have much selection. It's in an industrial part of town and probably not many people know about it. Will skip in the future unless they add more restaurants. read more

This is the future! Feels like the Jetsons where you press a button and food comes out magically. There's an app you could download to access the different restaurants. They have 8 including Japanese, Thai food, Chinese, Mexican, etc( All of which have good reviews on Yelp) It might seem overwhelming for those who are not tech savvy but there are menus set on screens on the side walls, and once you are done then you go the center kiosk and order. They will then prepare the food in the back and you set the food on the cart next to the kiosk. :) read more

This Smart Kitchen concept is similar to that of Kitchen United. Basically, a bunch of restaurant kitchens sharing a single "Front". You place orders on Kiosks, and the appropriate restaurant will receive your order and bring it out to you. We drove here specifically for Menya Irvine which is one of the restaurant options. Yelp says they open at 12 PM, since we got there a little early.. we waiting until 12 PM to check the Kiosk for Menya. Menya never showed up. We ended up ordering from other restaurants in the kiosk menu. The ordering process is a little undone, it looks like most of the restaurants never completed their onboarding process. No photos, confusing menus, and no descriptions. After ordering our food and waiting, we noticed that someone came and picked up their order from Menya. Its possible that their menu was only available online? Not sure, but overall the experience was disappointing to say the least. Lots of room for improvement at this establishment, but right now I'd give it a D rating. Other things out of their control: 1) No restrooms 2) The sewer manhole is right in front of the restaurant, so it smells like sewage. read more

Never coming back that's for sure. This place seems very unorganized. I ordered food from one of the kitchens called Gourmet Burger and waited about 40 mins. Then someone that was from another kitchen told me that the burger kitchen is not even there. No one was there to make the food I just ordered, and no indication that I was waisting my time. Like, what?? So now in order to get a refund I have to trust the owner will process the refund. Who was not there by the way. No one was there to actually do the refund. I have to follow up in 2 days to make sure I get the refund. What the heck. This business model ain't working guys. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They made us wait 30 minutes to tell us they were out of what I ordered. Since my fiancée had already gotten his food and was just waiting on mine, I told them to just cancel my order which the person informing us, responded "sorry I don't know how to do that." I ordered a chicken fajita and they offered us some other chicken thing which I didn't want at this point. My daughter recommended that we try this place. We ordered our ramen on their website as instructed. I had the tonkotsu ramen and it was very good. The Cha shi was tasty and there was more pieces than I sometimes get in a sit down place. The broth was delicious and the noodles were not overly cooked. The dish was given to us in separate containers so that the broth was separate from the rest. I will come back to try other dishes. I was about 5-10 minutes past the estimated pickup time but that wasn't an issue because they took a few minutes to get my order. Found this place by accident but it's such a great idea. It's a 1 stop shop for 4 different restaurants who cook in the back and bring it out to you when it's done. Unfortunately, I didn't take picture but the potion size was decent, I ordered from the Asian cuisine side. The taste was excellent. At this moment, I forgot what I ordered but remember the sweet flavor of the thinly sliced meat that covered the rice well. I also ordered the tacos and those were okay.
