We lived in China from 2011 to 2020 and this brings back all the fun of Chinese markets with friendly people, lots of Chinese and other languages spoken here. It is a melting pot of international shoppers! Great variety of cooking greens and specialized mushrooms. Also Asian style pots and pans, bowls, plates, and odd kitchen devices. Vegetables are much higher quality than a place like Shnucks and cheaper too! Enormous variety of frozen dumplings, stuffed buns, onion cakes, and others-and they're great and I buy them! Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Their fish section was pretty decent, but they had bins of fish thawing out it looked like and didn't seem very sanitary. I was looking for a certain frozen vegetable (malunggay) which they did not have, but the aisle was flooded with water. It felt icky walking across because how long was it there? They organize their sections by condiments, teas, spices, snacks... and not by country like other places which I kind of liked. The parking lot is small, and there is only one way in and out! I don't think I'd visit this place again considering the other Asian grocery store has the things I've been looking for!

The vibe in here is good when you walk in, a little weird towards the back. I'm not sure if part of the back was open or storage, it got darker and more isolated. There were tons of other snacks and a lot of Asian specialty items as well. Nice to have a store anchored in a busier area and near the university. I will definitely pop in here again if staying in the Loop.

United Provisions has turned into decent place to stop for a quick snack. When I stopped by last week, I bought 2 tornado relief fundraising mystery snack boxes. What a nice idea and so nicely presented. My cat enjoyed sitting on the wrapping paper. I've only unboxed one (the other is a gift). I don't want to spoil the mystery here, but I will add that I was a little disappointed that there were no chips or crackers in the box. However, the box value seemed quite good.

And it has been a joy to watch. -They are refurbishing the outside last, so don't let the old sign and tattered exterior fool you. Inside, magic is happening! -Where to start? They have an excellent salad bar. Wonderful fresh sushi. An amazing variety of wines. The town's wonderful florist shop is now moved into the building. They have dry cleaning drop off and pickup. A deli with hot food and everything a good deli needs. -Betty Ann Market just meets every qualification for a major modern supermarket, and it is here in our little town! -I try to do all my shopping there because: it is a wonderful store with everything you need at great prices, they are truly GOOD people with smiling small town spirits, and I want to support my local community. -Instead of driving half an hour away (and then back again) we have a major modern supermarket right here, just a few minutes away! (How much is an hour total travel time AND gas worth in this day and age?). From the street/parking lot, it looks a bit sketchy. Go ahead and park, then head inside. You'll find Friendly staff & a decent selection for a small town. The produce was in good condition and hit the spot. Prices were higher than our usual store but it definitely beat going out of town to shop.

The check was very very reasonable so definitely value for money . The store looked great and wish we had time to shop .

It was a long drive for me. I had to use my GPS to find it and I cannot tell you how many Mexican restaurants I passed to get there. The parking lot was packed when I arrived, but lucky for me as I entered a booth was opening up and I was seated immediately. A visit to a Mexican restaurant is not complete without a Margarita. I just ordered a regular on the rocks with no salt. The salsa that came with the chips was delicious. I also couldn't resist adding, orders of cheese dip and guacamole, too. When I eat Mexican alone, I can double dip and I love that. Dipping in cheese dip and then salsa or guacamole is messy, but acceptable when dining alone. My entree was a, Chicken Quesadilla. It came with Refried Beans and Mexican Rice. It was only cut in half, so I had to cut again to get manageable pieces to eat. The tortilla was crispy, which I like and the stuffings made for a flavorful quesadilla. The service was attentive and friendly. As stated earlier, it was a drive for me and I'll tell you it is a drive I will make again. It was totally worth it.
