It has been a couple years since I ate here so I looked them up on Facebook and apparently there had been some type of drama involving hate. Due to the fact it is very small inside and can easily sell out of Doner bread; I decided to call ahead before the 15 minute drive. A lady answered in English and I said I would like to make a carry out order. She simply replied sternly " NO ". I asked if they no longer took phone orders and again "NO". I asked if they had Doner's for sale if I came in and she answered yes as if I were very much not welcome. Maybe a bad run in with some other Customer. I get the impression that if you're not Bosnian then you're not welcome. Very Racist and Sad if true. I certainly would not feel welcome if I walked in the door here and we used to buy candy for our daughter there. Very sad if you hate Americans so much why come here?

Cevapi is a favorite of mine and it was hot and fresh with pillow-like bread- I can die happy! My husband got the chicken with mushroom sauce and he was very satisfied with it. I can't pronounce anything on the menu, but it's all GREAT!

The doner ($6.50) with lepinja and yummy gyro meat. It's a lot bigger than it looks and has all the regular toppings.

They have some great value too. They have stores within the market. You can buy sushi and other foods. There are sections where you can find Indian, Pakistan, Middle Eastern, and Halal meats. They have fresh fish and produce. Customer service was good. I did ask for some help. The guy helped me but didn't speak much English. Therefore, he didn't understand everything that I was asking. There was are that had some games. The parking lot plenty of parking.

In addition to the huge market area inside, there is a bubble tea stand, hot food with seating, and some skincare products across the front wall. The market itself is kind of amazing. There was an extensive selection of fresh Asian fruits, vegetables and herbs at great prices. Once we got into the aisles, there was, again, a huge selection - some of our favorite things were all the bottled sodas/coffees, the mochis and all the vinegars/sauces. In the back there is fish area that has live crabs, lobsters and even eels in addition to fresh fish. There is also a halal meat counter. We saw packages of frozen scallops, frozen crab legs and ground lamb that we plan to come back and try. I can't wait to return.

I was happy to find some fantastic canned cold brews as well, so I was covered with my "coffee before the real coffee" the next morning. I might have a problem. The vibe in here is good when you walk in, a little weird towards the back. I'm not sure if part of the back was open or storage, it got darker and more isolated. There were tons of other snacks and a lot of Asian specialty items as well. Nice to have a store anchored in a busier area and near the university. I will definitely pop in here again if staying in the Loop.

United Provisions has turned into decent place to stop for a quick snack. When I stopped by last week, I bought 2 tornado relief fundraising mystery snack boxes. What a nice idea and so nicely presented. My cat enjoyed sitting on the wrapping paper. I've only unboxed one (the other is a gift). I don't want to spoil the mystery here, but I will add that I was a little disappointed that there were no chips or crackers in the box. However, the box value seemed quite good.
