The woman walked off without acknowledging us at the window. I figured ok there's someone at the counter, so I can wait a couple of minutes. 10 minutes later, still no acknowledgement and the woman walked past the window several times. Definitely cold outside, but no such thing to say "we are backed up, could you come back later, etc"... nothing .... I was there to pick up 2 Rx after receiving a notification from the pharmacy. So will try again tomorrow, but I certainly hope it is a different person than the one today.. Follow-up Friday Jan 5.... drove up to the window, one car in front, then I pulled up, got immediate attention, order was filled, person at window was very pleasant, and this is the type of customer service I've been use to... so I figure, might have been a new person the other day or maybe they were short-handed.... so today my review would be 5 stars.... so I'm upgrading the numbers above...

I much much prefer doing business with real small town people who know me and appreciate my business AND take the time to check my meds and remember me from each time I visit. Very fast. Very efficient and cost the same. AND very close!!! I stand amazed when I see all the people sitting in chairs waiting at some huge places as those I mentioned. I detest waiting. On both July 20 and 21, 2025, we went here for some items we needed. One side of the entry doors remained blocked both visits. I was always the first to greet employees. Nonetheless, I'm always grateful that Walgreens has their own private label that sells cheaper OTC (over-the-counter) drugs.

I have been running all over town trying to pick up my prescriptions, and I still don't have them…read moreboth. The Walgreens closest to my end of town just texted me that they received my prescription, nothing else. The next day (yesterday) I went to pick it up, only to find out they were closed for the 4th of July. I went back today only to find that the pharmacy has at some point started closing on weekends, but I could drive out to another Walgreens across town and get it. I did, and after waiting forever they told me they only had one of them, but I could get the other at yet a third location. So here I went across town again, only to be told that no, they didn't have it. I'm changing pharmacies, and I'm telling all my friends. They're all also old with multiple prescriptions. Walmart corp. lost money last year -- maybe they should cut their CEO's salary and reinvest in their stores. In the meantime, they'll get no more business from me.

The things that make this place truly exceptional are the entire staff are caring, friendly, courteous, accommodating and appreciative of my business. I was soon greeted by name when I came in and everyone is always very helpful and patient with my questions and they truly care about my health and my concerns. They are prompt and always provide EXCELLENT SERVICE, they don't talk down to me and always explain things to me in a way I can understand and they actually LISTEN to my questions and concerns and address those questions and concerns completely. After my recent experiences, but specifically my experience tonight, at the Central Ave location, I'm honestly questioning why. I had a prescription that had been pending for an entire week. I was told it would be ready today, yet I received no updates or communication of any kind. Because I needed it urgently, I called the pharmacy multiple times throughout the day. Each time, my call was either picked up and immediately hung up, or I was left on hold for extremely long periods--over 30 minutes once, and more than 16 minutes another time and then was still hung up on. When I finally reached someone, the situation somehow got worse. The woman who answered was shockingly rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. She told me she had been on vacation and had "no idea" what was going on with my prescription. When I asked if she could check with another employee, she refused--not because no one was available, but simply because she didn't want to. She also said she couldn't help because it was "late," even though I had been calling all day and being hung up on. She showed zero concern when I explained how frustrating the repeated hang-ups were. She wouldn't check other Walgreens locations in Hot Springs, wouldn't look into the delay, and wouldn't offer any solution at all. The call ended with her giving me a sarcastic, cheerful "no problem" after providing absolutely no assistance. This level of customer service is unacceptable. The lack of communication, the repeated hang-ups, and the outright refusal to help were beyond unprofessional. I've trusted Walgreens for decades, but this experience at the Central Ave location was genuinely shocking. Walgreens needs to address this immediately. No customer should be treated this way--especially when they're relying on a time-sensitive prescription.

People were lined up backed up and it was pathetic. The shirts they wore said get vaccinated. It was a joke. Disorganized, not willing to make an appointed for the shot or tell you a good time to come back. We had a prescription sent in two hours before we arrived at the pharmacy we stood around and we did get the prescription. We quickly exited the mess and found another reputable place to get a vaccine in Texarkana, TX.
