My boyfriend (in his 50s) had been struggling back and forth for years with plantar fasciitis and…read moreheel spurs that were piercing his Achilles tendon. His heel looked like a ping pong ball was embedded. Surgery was imminent and it involved cutting his Achilles tendon to get to the spur. He was told he would have to lay face down for six weeks and healing was six months. As a last-ditch effort, we visited and they faced us with a nearly $4k bill for inserts. We declined and they gave us an alternate package of $1300ish. It still seemed steep, but we are almost at 2 years and he avoided surgery and is walking tall to this day. The relief was within two weeks of using the inserts. Worth every penny.

These inserts made my pain extremely intensified. I went in with metatarsalgia, and came out with…read moreplantar fasciitis. I have driven over there multiple times to try different sizes/softness/firmness. I wear exactly as directly, the strengtheners for an hour, and the maintainers, very little of the relaxers. I've been icing and stretching. The most unfortunate part is that I spent $1500 looking for pain relief but only got more pain and I can't return them. I can only exchange to try others, and I'm at the point where I'm crying when I walk. I did not have plantar fasciitis before using these.

I am also seeing Dr. Brent Walker since Aug 2022 for pain management associated with my spine. He has amazing compassionate bedside manners and an understanding of the problem as well as taking a very long time to listen & review your case!! His nurses Shelley & Kelly are amazing - kind and thorough, responding quickly to call-backs. Kudos to his scheduler Jennifer also who responds quickly to scheuling needs. I have also seen Kristen Walker the injection nurse for Dr Walker and thought she too was very thorough and compassionate. I have recommended many people to OrthoArkansas. I read the 1 star comments and hope that the office manager can resolve their problems but many are common to other doctors offices. Glad those patients were able to be heard.

He'll shove a sales pamphlet at you when you leave, still in pain. BAD ATTITUDE: This man is the rudest, cockiest clinician you'll ever meet. Surgeons such as he often think of themselves as miracle workers, but they are not: Anyone whose daddy has enough money can be trained to do his job. OUTDATED: His approach to patient care is 30 years out of date, as is the technology he describes as "cutting edge." He will interrupt as you are speaking; he is dismissive of your concerns; he shamed me for asking for medication (the simplest, most cost-effective solution); he has underdeveloped social skills and terrible bedside manner. His mullet did not impress me, either. NOT WORTH IT: I waited two weeks to get in; spent two hours in drive time and $20 in gas; waited over an hour to see him; then was given a hard salespitch for an expensive gadget that requires electrodes be inserted in my body and only works in 70 percent of patients, according to the sales pamphlet. ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS: The appointment with him was an absolute waste of time, money and patience. I have no confidence in OrthoArkansas -- except that they will milk your insurance for unnecessary and unproductive visits.
