It didn't take me long to go from having an eye exam to walking out with no line bifocals. The…read moreglasses I chose were almost the same shape as the last pair I chose at a pricey place connected to an optometrist, at a cost of $900.00. The Success glasses were less than $200.00. The lenses work so much better for me. Other place had the reading part so far down that I had to tip my head way back to use a computer. Can't do that due to metal rods in my neck. Success did not pressure me to get extras on the lenses. You know, coatings and such. They just gave me the time to consider what I wanted or needed. Because of the quality of workmanship I will be returning here. From the very first person that I dealt with at the optometrists to the last person when the glasses were fitted I was treated with friendly, patient, knowledgeable and great natured people, all earning 5 stars. My only wish is that their prescription sunglasses were available in darker coatings. But that appears to be everywhere. One thing I wanted to include and it slipped my mind was that I had stopped into the other place once to get a copy of my prescription. I was treated with suspicion bordering on rudeness and they demanded to know why I needed it before they would hand it over. At Success my prescription was included in my paperwork.

It was quick, next day I got my glasses. The lady waiting on me was courteous and professional.read more

I went for an eye exam in February 2023. Dr. Wallace Towle OD, examined my eyes thoroughly and…read morediscovered cataracts in both eyes. Scheduled me for consultation with eye surgeon but I had to wait an inordinate amount of time first to get appointment for consult and then to schedule surgery. Just recently after a myriad of phone calls to Mr. Peepers optical shop with no answer, I come to find out that Dr. Towle is retiring and he did retire in July but I had no way of knowing this but two of the staff, Desha who left in June, and Amy the optician were holding aside a beautiful pair of eyeglass frames which enhanced my face and complimented my face perfectly. They were made for me! Even Dr. Towle was aware in February that a pair of frames were being put aside for me. Then I come to find out that Dr. Towle retired in July but again I had no way of knowing and kept calling the optical shop Mr. Peepers and there was never anyone to answer phone but a recording stating that anyone that has any eyeglasses or contacts ordered that they need to come by end of July to pick up. Finally, finally I reached the optician Amy who definitely remembered me and that Desha the other staff member was holding a pair of eyeglass frames for me and even remembered what they looked like. I finally went there myself to scour the place but they were nowhere to be found! I am so so very disappointed I cannot express it. Here's what I truly believe happened to them. They had, I was told, a few temporary people working there to help sort things that were held for customers and to help pack or put everything out on the shelves. I sincerely believe the Dr. Towle sold them! He most likely didn't know those were the eyeglass frames that were put aside. I cannot express how disgruntled and disappointed I am! And to top it off Dr. Towle also was aware that they were holding them for me but I don't think he knew what they looked like. Anyway add that the many sorrowful things, mistreatment by various people, and experiences I have had since I came to Arkansas 6 years ago! Hate it here. Do not, I repeat, do not move to Arkansas! Ever! Posting this now and I do hope it benefits someone. By the way, I do understand that this Dr. who is 80 years old and has been in business way over 40 years wishes to retire, but the sheer incompetence makes me cringe. And it's not only this business, it's the majority of them! This is a pathetic state to live in. *Addendum: With all that hassle they were still so kind and gracious and gave me another pair of eyeglass frames to compensate for the home huge disappointment. All in all, I like Dr. Towle, he's an excellent optometrist and wish him the best in his retirement.

They made an appointment for me to come back, however, I couldn't be worked in until 3 weeks later. When I came back the staff realized the prescription was way off. Instead of being apologetic, the doctor and staff acted like it was my fault. The dr also made sexist jokes while examining my eyes, saying women don't know how to drive when I said I can't see in them to drive, as well as it was probably my hormones. One staff member even asked if I had an eye injury since the last time I was there. They couldn't believe the huge error. I waited 7 days for my glasses, only to be called and told the lab made a mistake and they had to be redone. I was aggravated as it had been over a month and asked the manager if they could expedite it. She said of course. She pointed out it was the lab's fault and I said the doctor's fault to begin with. Did she expedite? Nope. I was called today that my glasses were in. I came to get them and was met at my car (Covid going on). I was handed a bag with my glasses and she walked away without even seeing if I needed an adjustment. I called them from the parking lot and let them know they were loose (covid) and she said I could come in. The lady who adjusts glasses worked on them. She was finished and I walked out, saying thank you. Return response back a hateful BYE. The glasses seem to be right, but they didn't even check to see if I could see better. I can't believe an optometrist runs a clinic like that.

I've been a loyal Walgreens customer my entire life--my parents filled my prescriptions here when I…read morewas a kid, and I've continued that loyalty as an adult. After my recent experiences, but specifically my experience tonight, at the Central Ave location, I'm honestly questioning why. I had a prescription that had been pending for an entire week. I was told it would be ready today, yet I received no updates or communication of any kind. Because I needed it urgently, I called the pharmacy multiple times throughout the day. Each time, my call was either picked up and immediately hung up, or I was left on hold for extremely long periods--over 30 minutes once, and more than 16 minutes another time and then was still hung up on. When I finally reached someone, the situation somehow got worse. The woman who answered was shockingly rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. She told me she had been on vacation and had "no idea" what was going on with my prescription. When I asked if she could check with another employee, she refused--not because no one was available, but simply because she didn't want to. She also said she couldn't help because it was "late," even though I had been calling all day and being hung up on. She showed zero concern when I explained how frustrating the repeated hang-ups were. She wouldn't check other Walgreens locations in Hot Springs, wouldn't look into the delay, and wouldn't offer any solution at all. The call ended with her giving me a sarcastic, cheerful "no problem" after providing absolutely no assistance. This level of customer service is unacceptable. The lack of communication, the repeated hang-ups, and the outright refusal to help were beyond unprofessional. I've trusted Walgreens for decades, but this experience at the Central Ave location was genuinely shocking. Walgreens needs to address this immediately. No customer should be treated this way--especially when they're relying on a time-sensitive prescription.
