Called to see if I could get an estimate on a pool installation. I live in Baiting Hollow which is about 20 mins from their main office in Mattituck. After the first phone call whew the woman took all my information, she then called me back and told me that they don't service my area. My wife called later and spoke with a woman who answers the phone and asked if they would service a pool in Orient, much further away but indeed on the North Fork, they were more than happy to do it. The owner then proceeded to call my wife back and berate her for "giving them a hard time". Now listen I get that you can choose where you want to do business, but to be so picky about fork vs. non-fork is absolutely absurd. And again, this was for a pool BUILD, not some weekly vac and chemical check.

I was looking for a class that fit…read morewith my schedule, sounded like something I could do that wouldn't kill me, and Carpe Diem's core class fit the bill. The studio itself is large and spacious. The workout equipment is in great shape and spotlessly clean thanks to the hardworking attendant whose job it is to set up and clean up. The instructor introduced himself and welcomed me to class, and explained the set up of the class and how the intervals would be done. He asked me if I had any injuries, I told him none except for the fact that I'm really out of shape. He laughed and promised me any modifications I need, and told me to go at my own pace. This was a really challenging class, but the instructor and group camaraderie made it fun and bearable. I'd recommend Carpe Diem to anyone looking for a fun and effective workout.
