We had a living social deal, I am not sure how much my wife paid for it. But it included 2 hours of unlimited bowling (which when bowling with two 3 year olds = one game), four hot chocolates, and funnel fries. While East Lincoln Lanes may not look like the fanciest bowling alley. It has a LOT going for it. First off, they had the best rental bowling shoes I've ever seen. They were all knew, not skanky. And better yet, they were velcro, so they went on easy. So nice not to deal with those typical straggly bowling shoe laces. The other pleasant surprise, the food was reasonably priced. I mean it's not super gourmet or anything. But but a burger or grill steak was like $2.50, fried snacks were around $1.50 - much nicer than the typical over-priced fare at most bowling alleys. Considering the price, especially at the living social deal, the quality of shoes, and the decent priced food. I wasn't expecting to take advantage of anything but the living social deal. But after visiting, I think there is a good chance we'll go back again. And I'd definitely recommend the place. *** On the off chance that East Lincoln Lanes reads this review. The two tips I'd give is a) paint over the white with some brighter / deeper colors if you get a chance. b) relax on the little one, I know you guys were concerned about it being 5 bowlers not the living social 4 deal. This was easily the worst bowling alley that I've ever been to and I've been to a bunch in my life. I came here with 3 friends since we had a LivingSocial deal and we were excited to spend 2 hours bowling. The deal also came with 4 hot chocolates and "funnel cake" fries, but we were just there for the bowling. To our disappointment, the place is an absolute dump. Everything is old and dirty and the place is just really run down. The hot chocolate was fine since it was just Swiss Miss and the "funnel cake" fries were simply funnel cake batter that was made in the shape of a fry, so nothing special. The lanes are not the nicest at all (I'm sure you're seeing a theme here) and we couldn't even stay for an hour (let alone the full two) since it just wasn't a fun place. As we opened the front doors to leave the bowling alley, our nostrils were hit by a wave of manure the likes of which have never been smelled before. In our daze, we agreed that it was a perfect representation of our night at East Lincoln Lanes. read more

The family that's owns the business are the nicest people you would ever want to meet. They have a passion for bowling and it truly does show. I highly recommend East Lincoln Lanes. Nice family owned bowling alley. Really cheap prices on food and it's good as well. Our family can eat here for $15. It's not gourmet but really good. Very clean, and well maintained. Great after school program for the kids and plenty of leagues to choose from. read more

BEWARE the snack bar staff do not follow proper food handling safety. There were two ladies in the snack bar area. One lady took my order and my money then walked right over to the freezer and picked up my food without washing her hands! I observed the other lady do the same thing on a hot dog order touching money then hotdogs and the buns! I politely brought it to the attention of the older lady who appeared to have some level of authority and she told me that was OK because the food was going to be cooked!!!! I then politely mentioned that I am trained in food safety because I own a concession stand and I always wash my hands after touching money as the PA health code requires or I use gloves. She literately turned her back to me loosely agreeing that maybe I was right. Look anyone can make a mistake but when you justify it as OK so long as the food is to be cooked then that is the regular practice there! Now one has to ponder how the food is kept and handled when no one is looking. I reminded her that people that have health issues including the very young and the elderly can actually die from a food born illness, she all but rolled her eyes at what she clearly perceived as just a picky customer. Shame on these poorly educated adults that don't think washing hands is a basic common sense rule in serving food. On top of all that when I called to book the lane I asked for the price to bowl and was quoted the full amount even though after I visited there website there was a regularly offered special where you get a lane for up to 6 people including shoes for 29.95 I would have spent close to 50.00 had I not checked there website! All of this is a shame because otherwise it is a great little bowling alley and is otherwise well cared for. However based on the fact that no outside food or drink is allowed and the snack bar staff risk making people seriously ill or even possible death I would be unable to take my children of family elders there to bowl. I sincerely hope this review forces this potentially nice bowling alley to invest in some plastic gloves and some food safety training for its staff along with enforcement of basic food safety rules/law. I will also report them to the Health Department but I have little faith that they will do much. Consumers need to speak up a demand that there food is handled properly. read more
