We parked across the street in the gravel lot, signs have the buildings number (252) on them designating the spots. Building does have stairs, but they also have a small lift for handicap accessibility. Interior looks exactly like you would expect in a place like this, full of wood everywhere. Due to COVID restrictions, you have to order food, and they have a basic menu that includes things like hot pretzel braids. Our group sampled various Mead's and liked them, but they do offer Beer and Soda. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The highlight of the trip and worth every dollar was the axe throwing. You purchase a ticket at the main register, walk over to the throwing area, and sign in. They give you clear instruction how to do it and you're throwing. The instructor was great and very personable. The throwing is very safe and our group loved it, even when we didn't always find the target. Absolutely would return here.

Axe throwing was such a great way to let off steam. The instructors were very knowledgeable and didn't hover or make us uncomfortable and they would offer tips as needed but just let us do our thing. I definitely recommend and will go back. They have a small off street parking area too.

What he didn't realize was there was an expiration date, but thankfully for some nice customer service, we were allowed to use it the day after expiration as we set up in advance a date and time that the facility advised would work - 4pm on a Saturday. We arrived to a majority empty place which turned out to be in our favor. We got a lane to ourselves and almost a private lesson on how to throw from our AxeMaster. There are three styles of axes. Two are two-handed throwers, and then a hatchet which is a one-hand throw. They all have their positives and negatives with their weight and accuracy, but we got enough time to toss them all. Our two-hour session started with 10 minutes on each of the two axes and hatchet. It was almost getting monotonous but quickly we were getting the hang of each one and the characteristics needed to make accurate throws. Our AxeMaster would provide pointers after each throw to improve our skills. Then, let the games begin! We played several games. First was a 20-throw high score wins. Every fifth round you could go for a "kill" shot which was the tiny blue dot on each upper left and right of the bullseye target. 10 points to succeed, zero if you fail. 99% of the time you fail. Second game was to have an imaginary tic-tac-toe board and win that game. Another game was to hit each level of bullseye twice and then end the game with a kill shot. We then played another 20-throw high score. When it came to the kill shot to win, this took a very long time and we almost didn't have enough time to play the second 20-throw. But, I finally got it and we played. Happy to say I won everything except tic-tac-toe. The facility has at least 10 lanes to throw, a small lounge with some video games and pool table, a stage area for bands or comedians, and plenty of tables to stand around and watch the TVs or people throwing. There are competition leagues and Tilted Axes is certified to have them. They sell a little bit of food, but you can bring in all you want and beer, too. If this place was crowded, and our AxeMaster said it does at times, I do not know if we would have had as much fun because of the diminished time you would have had to throw and the hour or two does go quickly. While you are playing your games, you do have the option to switch out which axe you can throw. You have to sign waivers which are done electronically. Don't forget to tip your AxeMaster! We had a great time and our shoulders are a little bit sore. We really liked the experience and would definitely do it again! We had a gift certificate, but I was told a two-hour session is about $42 for one person, and about $25 for a one-hour session. I'm sure the website has the group rates and competition league rates and rules.

We had so much fun and it was therapeutic after a stressful week (and it's only Wednesday)! Tonight was Ladies Night so there were special rates. There are other specials throughout the week and month so check the website. Do make reservations. Along with axe throwing, there's corn hole, giant Jenga, arcade games, and other free or inexpensive things to do. We took a tour of the various party rooms & they look like so much fun. Great place to have birthday parties, casual business gatherings, hang with friends or a unique date. One of the things that I really like is that you can BYO food, drinks and adult beverages. They do have a cooler with beverages that include craft sodas, boba, energy drinks, and more. Light snacks are available, too. The decor is a meld of a warehouse with rustic lumberjack accessories and furniture. The cages are named after roads and places in Hershey. The place was clean and inviting (as inviting as axes can be). Sorry, I didn't take pictures because we were disconnecting from the phones for a few hours. As for the location, it is tricky to find. When you turn off of Chocolate Avenue onto N Street or Orchard Street, then tune Left on First Street (an alley) go to the end of the road & it will be on the right. The physical location is not on Chocolate Avenue, but one block behind it.

The attendants were very attentive and encouraging to us first-timers all at the same time. It was my first time throwing Hatchets. My husband had experience throwing stars and found it to be very similar. Being new to this type of activity, we did get a quit 'how-to' lesson prior to being cut loose to throw. I had a bit of a hard time 'catching on' but still hit the bullzeye a good number of times before our hour time-slot expired. We found our joint booth spacious, as were the other booths at this location. The entire facility was well thought-out for maximum occupancy while keeping patrons completely safe. While there were other other games available to play (cornhole, jenga, etc) we didn't stay long enough to play them. We DID have a great time and will definitely be back to perfect our skills! Another plus: you are allowed to bring your own food and beverages, alcohol included! They do have a limited choice of sodas & water for purchase, as well.

Going to the Malvern location of Splitting Edge (review coming in the not too distant future) for a fun Halloween party scratched the itch for me, but as my gf and I talked with our circle of friends we realized we weren't the only ones craving throwdown. While we were looking forward to going to the Malvern location again, when we learned that only the Pottstown location had availability for the Friday night we were looking to book, we chalked it up as an opportunity to explore the area beforehand and make a good evening of it. And from seeing the awesome lumberjack inspired mural art that my friend Alloyius Mcilwaine painted downstairs, to playing three very different and hella fun rounds of axe throwing team games, to ending the evening by striking poses within their Game of Thrones-inspired wooden throne, it proved to be one of the most fun game nights I've had in awhile! Back in the day, I used to do pretty good with my throwing, but when I started out the evening I was having some off moments which I just chalked up to me being rusty. But our ax expert for the evening, Will, watched my throwing like a hawk, grabbed me an ax with a longer handle to use, and showed me some pointers that had me getting near bullseye shots in no time. Since it's a BYOB spot we also brought some crowlers for the brewery next door after we learned that they didn't do to-go cans only to realize that we also had no cups. But the friendly staff was quick to provide them for us. Doing those things and even giving us a little more time to throw after our session ended were just some of the ways that their team went above and beyond to accommodate our crew. At first, I thought the traditional play where the first team to get a certain amount of points without going over would have been my favorite game of the night. But then for the second they busted out the balloons on the board and gave us the chance to either lose points by bursting our balloons or to sabotage the other team's game by bursting their balloons to have them lose points. The third game of snakes and ladders was a little trickier to follow but also made for a fun time. Overall it was a great time that really scratched my itch and left me ready for another throwdown!
