June 2025 Clear…read moreView Lanes - Great Bowling, Even Better Fries It's been a few years since my wife and I visited Clear View Lanes, but we usually make the trip in June to bowl with friends from our local alley during the Dutchman Bowling Tournament. Due to some medical issues, I haven't been able to bowl the past couple of years, so it was really nice to be back and able to bowl again this year. Clear View is a very nice bowling alley -- they have a small pro shop, a snack bar, and a full restaurant. New this year, they even added an indoor golf hitting range! I didn't bring my clubs, but it looked like something I'd love to try next time. Bowling here feels a little different than at my home alley -- I don't seem to bowl quite as well -- but I still have a great time and enjoy the atmosphere. Quick tip if you're hungry: head down to the restaurant and get the cheese and bacon French fries -- they were excellent! Definitely worth trying. Looking forward to coming back next year.

There seems to be no effort put forth by the Pelvo's staff or Stoner Commons ground staff maintain a course worthy of the cost to play. All it requires is about 15 minutes or less each day to walk the course with a leaf blower to create a clean, clear, presentable , and playable course. Upon complain, cashier said they try to blow it off "every once in a while, but our gas blower needs gas". Suggestion, be proactive and get gas and do it, or get a battery operated one, but who knows, then the battery might not be charged. If you plan on playing here, suggest inspection first and then decide if worth pay to play.

This last time was on Sunday, Father's Day. My daughter and I just wanted something to do together to have a fun time. 1 hour of bowling cost over $42 dollars for just the 2 of us. Next the lane we were on would randomly knock over pins during set up or just all together not put some pins on the lane. Next the scoring kept getting messed up, several times we would knock down 9 pins but the score would say 7 or 8. One frame my daughter rolled a gutter and it randomly gave 3 pins. Next we wanted a couple of slush puppy drinks. It's says at the register that you have to spend $10 to use credit so ok I asked what the price difference was between a small and large. The guy behind the counter couldn't answer the simple question. So I finally just said give me 2 larges and a popcorn thinking that would get us to $10. I was wrong it came out to $9.95. 5 cents short and he wouldn't ring it up because it wasn't $10. So I finally just said fine give me 2 popcorns to go over the mark. He only fills the drinks and popcorns a third of the way. I didn't feel like dealing with him anymore because it was eating into our overpriced 1 hour of bowling. I ask for a receipt and of course it jammed and no receipt pops out. I tell him I need one. 10 minutes I'm waiting for him to figure it out and unjam the machine. My daughter and I are taking turns bowling and walking back and forth waiting for him to give us the receipt. He never did figure it out by the way. After seeing how frustrated I was a young woman who also works there comes over and gets it printed out in 2 seconds. This whole experience was a joke.
