A very surprising and extensive disk golf course. Extremely technical and dynamic but one of the most fun courses I've played yet! I really appreciated the clearly marked and well maintained course overall. Every hole was so beautiful! Good parking places in different areas all the around the park. Another great park for the city of Roswell. Off of Holcomb Bridge and Fouts Rd...it's behind the library. There is a walking trail here along with a playground, soccer, softball, and tennis court. The dog park is a popular spot. Plenty of parking around but can get crowed on the weekends esp when the weather is nice. Another great park in GA. This park has tones of activities for everyone including a splashing zone for kids and a walking trail. It's a well hidden treasure. The second playground all the way towards the back is huge. But the sun hits every inch of it and that's a big bummer. My kid was getting burned the entire time. read more

I have a 3 year old and we checked this park out through Moms Club. The park has 3 playgrounds that I've found so far. Good amount of shade. A pond with a fountain. A clean sand pit under a shady tree. If it's a hot day, try the water feature for a small fee. Right outside the park area is the library. Across from the library is Kroger, Right Aid, A cafe, Moe's, etc. Room for progress, a vending machine would be nice. read more

Wow, I love this park. Everything is well maintained. The playground is monstrous. I've never been up slides that big on a playground. And there are fun seats you sit on and without having to push off, just let your shifting center of gravity twirl you around. Hard to describe, but super amusing! Disk Golf courses there are challenging. It recently was one of the stops of the national tour, no wonder. I've never gotten under a score of 10 there, and end up a lot closer to 20. Fall there is beautiful, and I have always been able to find my disks again after ending up in the woods. I feel so defeated after the last bunch of courses, but I still love playing here. read more

I wound up at East Roswell Park to play disc golf with a buddy for his birthday. On my way in, I made some pretty cool observations that one doesn't usually get to make while in the metro Atlanta area. First off, the park is totally inconspicuous. To me, that is ideal- what better place to cut children loose to burn off ice cream or other glucose bombs? No one likes worrying. Here, traffic is at a minimum, and the areas where smaller children can play are in the very back, to reduce the risk even further. Next, there isn't much you CAN'T do here, recreationally speaking. There are two artificial turfed soccer/lacrosse fields, softball fields, tennis courts, a rockin' playground, and as mentioned earlier, a disc golf course. I'd just like to say that playgrounds weren't this cool when I was a kiddo. There were stand up see-saws, huge twisty-turny slides, spinnerkadoodles (definitely a made up word, but hell if I know what it is), and many other cool things. I'd be lying like a rug if I said that I didn't play on the equipment for a little while before I left. Absolutely no shame here. While playing disc golf, a couple of the course regulars told me that they had recently revamped the course. It was very challenging, and very enjoyable. There was very little water in play, which means you run very little risk of losing your favorite high-tech, ass-kicking frisbee. I'd definitely recommend this park, and I will certainly be back. Great park - plenty of softball/ baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, large pathway that goes all the way around the park and an amazing playground. I only come here for one thing though - Disc Golf. And while I am not a Pro, I consider myself a good solid veteran and I love playing the course here at East Roswell. One of the more touted courses in Georgia, it is challenging. The first tee box if off the right side of the playground and #10 cuts off to the left of the playground. I highly recommend this course although get there early on the weekends and summer days after work as it can get crowded. read more

I took my kids (ages 4 and 8) for the splash park recently. The staff consisted of very polite kids. We purchased wrist bands and some snacks and entered the park. It's very clean. There are plenty of shaded places to place a beach towel and let the kids run. The water is cold and and perfect for a hot summer day. The kids had a blast. We will definitely be back read more

TUCKED AWAY This park is tucked away on Fouts Road and you would never know that it exists unless you were looking for it. I never even knew that it was here and it is huge. It is a well developed park with trails for walking, fields for baseball and soccer, tennis courts, a spray station, a community center and probably more amenities that I didn't even notice. On this bright and sunny day, there were lots of families in the park enjoying organized sports. I was surprised that no one was at the spray station although we were there during business hours. The station looks like a lot of fun and a safer way for kids to enjoy the water. There are several play areas throughout the park in addition to shaded areas that are perfect for just hanging out and relaxing after you play or complete your exercise. As we entered the park, we did notice an exercise station that is perfect for those wanting to get in shape. This is a great park for individuals, couples, families and teams. Yes, that means everyone so grab your gear and get moving! I almost forgot the coolest feature in this park: the charging station for your smart car!! Genius! read more

This review is for just the playground, as I have become quite the connoisseur of bucket swings lately. The playground at ERP is in a naturally shaded area near one of the covered picnic facilities. The ground is covered in mulch but some of it is rather chunky, and didn't seem all that safe for my little guy, particularly as he grabbed a chunk that was the size of his arm and proceeded to put it in his mouth. Maybe that's why these playgrounds are designed for older kids They've got a couple of bucket swings, in pretty good condition. They're a little higher, which is nicer for pushing. There are no guards on the chains, but they've worn well, so I wasn't worried that C was going to cut his hands or eat rust off them. Since there's so much natural shade, it can be quite cool on a winter afternoon, even more so than the rest of the park. The plastic play area is definitely one for older kids as most of activities are quite long/tall/high. A lot of the yellow paint has worn off the metal, so this playground gets love. Not a bad place if you're in the neighborhood and don't have your own swing set. We'll have to check out the walking path next time. #Yelp365 - 354/365 read more

I love East Roswell Park. If there is one thing Fulton County knows how to do, it's parks and playgrounds. They have 2 playgrounds here, one in the front for younger kids, and one in the way back for big kids. It has a huge play structure and the kids love it. There are a few soccer/baseball fields here, and they also have a community center building which has 2 basketball courts and various rooms for classes. I have taken kids to a music class here which was great, and a baby gymnastics class which was not so great. There is also a sprayground here. It's new (as of last year), and only $1 to get in. Roswell ... and Alpharetta / North Fulton really do some great work with their park system (like the Big Creek Greenway) ... and this (relatively new) East Roswell Park is another kudo for them! The level walking trail around the manicured lake is impressive and serene ... there are ample areas for 'family recreation' (if you're looking for that) and even a boat landing for you to launch your craft into the hooch... This park seems to be much better considered to Gwinnett's entry across the street... I almost did not want to Yelp about this park because there are enough people here already ... ;) read more

Me and my friend called up to make sure there was free play at the gym. A man answer the phone and said that it was and we are free to come until 745 pm. We walked into the gym (our first time) and we didn't see anyone so we assume we could just walk around to see the gym and get dressed. An older white man comes out and rudely greeted us. Explaining we can't just walking into HIS gym without signing in and having a photo id. However, it's a public facility and own by the city. We ignored his rude introduction and did as instructed to be told we still couldn't play because my friend's id was expired by a few days. We were like ok but there is no one else here and we are only Trying to play for about an hour. He rudely responded back and said he couldn't play because of his temporary id being expired. I understand there are some seriousness to liability but there really wasn't any reason we couldn't play. He could have been way more polite or kind about it instead of treating us like we were adolescents. I truly didn't feel welcomed or wanted there.. no I don't feel like we was discriminated against but from the moment he greeted us I had a bad feeling we were on our way out the door. Just treat others as you want to be treated (with respect) and I wouldn't have to give a bad review. Besides the horrible customer service the gym is very clean and nice all around from what I had time to actually see. read more

I am only commenting on the Disc Golf Course. I did find the kiosk that basically states the Golf Course is in that area but the lettering is faded. There is also a small sign stating the rules. Unfortunately these are located in the play area for kids and not at the opening to the golf course. But at least I do know it is there. I played a round of Disc Golf on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. This course is 1,400 feet longer than Suwanee Creek Park playing from the back tees. This course is brutal with about half the holes playing uphill which takes away distance. I'm also surprised that there are 10 holes over 350 feet and even one that is over 500 feet and all of them except 8 and 16 (the one at over 500 feet) are Par 3 while 8 and 16 are Par 4. Since I'm a beginner I could play from the blue tees and cut the distance but I feel if you want to improve your game then go from the back (black) tees. Par is 56 and I shot 33 over Par as this was my first time playing East Roswell Disc Golf Course. I'm going to go there more often and now that I know the layout of the course I can work on improving my game. If you haven't played Disc Golf at East Roswell Park please do so as it is an interesting experience. read more

The playground at this park is awesome! It has tall towers that are still safe enough for my toddler (when accompanied), and a smaller kid area that is separated from the bigger kid area but still visible from the same bench. There are some unique stand-alone playground pieces, and a little paved sidewalk all the way around the playground where I walked laps with my stroller and could keep my eyes on my daughter the whole time. The spray ground (or splash pad, whatever you want to call it) is fantastic, too! There are 2 covered areas for parents/grandparents to sit, but you need to bring your own chair if you don't want to sit on a towel on the ground. The whole area is fenced in, so kids can't run away or anything, and there is someone at the gate making sure kids don't leave without parents. There is a little pavilion nearby where you can eat because no food or drink is allowed in the water area or the shaded observation area. $2 gets you in for the whole day (a wrist band), but they only accept bills smaller than $20 and credit cards (when their machine works, which it wasn't today...I paid $6 in quarters). I was a little annoyed that they wouldn't let me take my stroller into the observation area, since it meant I had to wake up the baby sleeping in there, but I understand how having strollers in there could make it a little more crowded than is ideal. THE SPRAY GROUND IS CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS for private parties and maintenance, but if you happen to forget that it's a short drive to the spray ground at Riverside Park (which is closed Tuesdays for maintenance). read more
