Heads up, you will feel like you're driving into a neighborhood but rest assured, you're in the right spot! It leads you right to the entrance, and there is tons of parking available. There's a trailhead sign as well which is helpful. Gorgeous views of the lake on every side of the park, with plenty of trails in and around the park. Every time I visit, it's always very quiet and serene, and there's a little beach/island that is all dried out now that you can go walk out on which is cool. I entered at Old Alabama Road parked at Big Creek Park and followed the signs. The trail is well-maintained, clean, and wide enough for cyclists, walkers, and runners to comfortably share the path - in most areas. One of my favorite things about this trail is that much of it is shaded, making for a really enjoyable ride. The park has massave MTB & hiking trails as well. Plus restrooms and pleanty of free parking. The trail system is larger than I expected. There are several connecting paths that was listed as color coded according to the level. I found myself taking a different route than I planned and accidentally made a few complete loops before realizing I had connected to another trail! I completed around 23 miles - easy ride. I'd consider this a great beginner-friendly trail. Most of the ride is relatively flat with only one or two moderate inclines that got me a lil winded. Otherwise, it's an easy, low-impact ride that's perfect for enjoying the scenery. Since the trail winds through neighborhoods, I saw a nice mix of families, casual riders, walkers, runners. Everyone seemed to have plenty of room to enjoy the trail. This is definitely a trail I'll be riding again. A great place for riders of all skill levels. If you're looking for a scenic, peaceful ride that's easy to access and enjoyable for the whole family, Big Creek Greenway is absolutely worth checking out.

Although it was pretty crowded on a Monday evening, the walk was very peaceful among trees with lots of shade. Great for walking your dogs, biking, jogging or simply a quiet evening walk. The creek that crosses the trail offers a refreshing break in between walks. With all the below-mentioned amenities, this is one of the best trailheads that I've been to so far in Georgia. Middle of road was blocked by water, so only about 2 miles was walkable. But still, I enjoyed walking in the winter fresh air, and even saw a deer, they used to goofing around in group of 4 or 5. It is well maintained, mostly shaded for hot days, and an easy course. Parking can require some patience during weekend mornings. It is heavily trafficked on the weekends. The people here are really nice and supportive. Plenty of cyclists but they are mindful of pedestrians. Just make sure to always look back before you pass another runner/walker, at a junction, or towards a bridge. The workers are courteous and friendly. Others seem to really like this place as well since I've been seeing the same people for years. It's probably a good place to make friends, if that's what you're looking for. The only reason I took a star off is because there appears to only be one place to get water- at Big Creek Park in Roswell. Before covid, you could also use the water fountains at Rock Mill Park, but they have since then been shut down. They should really restore water there- very helpful for runners/cyclists.

There are restrooms and a water bottle refill station right before the ADA trail starts. It's beautifully wooded and such a peaceful place to get in a walk and sit by the water. There are benches along the way and plenty of benches at the lake with a long deck. There were people fishing there when we visited. Definitely come take a stroll. It's gorgeous.

From there, we headed south for awhile, before turning around and heading back to where we started. I liked that the trail was wider than other parts of the greenway. The scenery is very pretty and there were parts that were boardwalk, so riding on wood was cool, a change from the pavement we are used to. There are lots of benches and turnouts along the way in case you need rest. There were no crossings in real traffic on our route so that was nice for our young kids.

I really wanted to like this trail as it was quiet and runs along a refreshing river but there were…read moretoo many problematic areas that need to be addressed immediately by the CNRNA. #1 High theft and vandalism warnings everywhere but no security cameras anywhere to be found. Due to the remote nature of the trail, it looked extremely unsafe to leave the car and go hiking for a couple of hours. #2 The trail was not maintained at all. There were overgrown bushes, logs that poked out with the trail looking unsafe to maneuver during wet seasons. It was surprising as it was a paid trail. I have seen much better-looking free trails than the Jones Bridge trail. #3 Bathroom was not maintained either. It smelled really bad with no hand soap either. Again, I have seen better maintained free trails with lot more amenities than this one.
