East Texas Elephant experience. In Cut-n- Shoot, Texas.

The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable and you can tell they really care for all the animals. The property was very clean and organized. Only thing is we wish they had v-neck t-shirts in the gift shop, as most women like v-necks and everyone knows women shop...

This was such a unique and incredible experience. It was well worth the money. Such beautiful elephants and such good opportunities provided for families to touch, feed, and wash the elephants in a safe manner.

This was on my bucket list. we traveled from northern Minnesota just for this experience and it was well worth it. This generational family owned experience provided a friendly atmosphere where we were able to interact with camels, goats, sheep and elephants. The main event, for me, was being able to touch the elephant's noses. That was a bucket list item I thought I'd never achieve. I can't thank this group enough for making that happen! Well worth it for this fantastic educational experience!

One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. The staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The animals are beautiful, friendly and well cared for. I cannot say enough about this experience.

Team was super informative and friendly. Animals were an absolute treat to see and is well worth the money to visit with friends, family, or even by yourself. You must go here and experience this once in a lifetime opportunity!!

This was the most amazing place! Our encounter was absolutely magical and brought me to tears. I learned all about African elephants and their care. They are these brilliant beautiful creatures that have so much personality. In the wild they would face so many terrifying things like poaching and lack of food. Their family has devoted their entire life to the care and well being of their animals. Some would say they are even SPOILED! All the animals are very healthy with a team of care takers and veterinary medical professionals. We had a great time, felt very comfortable outdoors, and learned a ton. I am so thankful for this experience and will definitely come back!

This was a fantastic experience and was well worth the price. We did not expect to be as hands on with the elephants as we were. We were able to feed, groom and pet the elephants! Its a great up close and personal experience with the elephants. The camels and baby goats were fun as well. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and give a great presentation. We can not wait to go back.

Tickets are only $10, and that alone, is worth the 5-star review. For less than the price of a couple coffee's or cartons of eggs, you are able to have some really cool interactions with animals. If you want to experience anything else like this, you'll have to drive an hour to the Houston Zoo, pay a lot more money for tickets, deal with crowds/parking/etc. The Learning Zoo is obviously not trying to compare itself to the Houston Zoo, but where else are you going to get to play with goats, pigs, birds, a pony, tortoises and snakes? The location is really hidden behind 1488. You drive through a residential street, and then all the way at the back, you make a couple of turns, and suddenly you're at The Learning Zoo. When you walk in, you are offered some lettuce and carrots for the animals for an additional $10, which is definitely worth it. Plus, they have some animals inside the lobby area - snakes, hedgehogs, other reptiles, etc. Then you head outside to the main part of the experience. You can walk amongst the tortoises, get "attacked" by all of the birds in their sanctuary, join the goats and pigs in their pen, and they even brought out a 14 foot snake for people to hold and take pictures with. Everyone here was incredibly nice, too. We were only there for about 45 minutes, but for $40, it was worth every penny.

Robin is a great hostess, respected my space, but was there for anything I needed, even just to visit. I saw them host birthday parties that looked fun and very well planned. If it's for a birthday party, weekend getaway or an extended stay, I highly recommend Figment Ranch.

She takes her time to answer any questions that you may have and you can tell she pours her whole heart into this nonprofit organization. During the pandemic they don't do as many tours a day, so make sure you book in advance. I came one Sunday morning with my family of 10 and she reserved the whole tour just for us, what a treat! Robin used to be a teacher so she's provided us with very educational information about the animals that live on her ranch. She takes her time and explain and shows us how to care for each animal. You get to be hands on and touch every animal there, which I really enjoyed and appreciate! There were turtles, rabbits, turkeys, ducks, goats, pigs, and the main attraction of course are the llamas and alpacas. This place is really one of a kind and is so special. Freest experience for the whole family that adults and children can enjoy and make some memories. Oh, and did I mention they have 2 Airbnb on their ranch where you can wake up to these animals? What a neat idea!
