First time to HKC . Called twice for information today a full three hours before our arrival. Was told to come at 7pm and there would be no problem getting in 2 (10 min) sessions for each of us before closing . We got there at 6:50 and we were told they could not accommodate our party of 7 people. The girl with the nose piercing could not care whatsoever in turning us away. We suggested there be better communication to customers when they call but it was not reciprocated well by the girl behind desk with her attitude. read more

My boyfriend loves this place and wanted to go for his birthday. We live in Texas. These are small black plastic carts. SITTING OUT IN THE SUN!!! They wait a few minutes before each race and those seats are COOKING!!!! I asked an employee (who was great btw) and he told me the owner doesn't want to spend "unnecessary money" if he doesn't have to. I had tears streaming down my face from how hot these seats are. It is over 110 degrees outside dude. Put up SOMETHING to keep the sun off I don't care if it's a big tarp! You will end up with a customer with serious burns and a lawsuit!!!! read more

I love this place. Had some of my best memories here. One time I wrecked my go kart. They just got me in another one. Then I smashed that one all up. I was having a bad night so I told the older man I was just going to call it quits and come back another day. He got me a new go cart and told me he didn't care. Great atmosphere, they have deals on thursdays. Best Go-Karting in Houston! Some karts are a bit old but it makes it fun, you have to adjust your driving style based on the defects of the kart! Great starting point. Did I mention they have a league? Well they do! It's great for all people 12 and older. Awesome, safe family fun. Facilities were clean (seriously.....even the bathrooms) and equipment was in good shape. I saw people of all ages, from small children riding a 2-seater with parents, all the way up to a 64-year old. Very wholesome vibe. Fun place but in my opinion, it can a little dangerous for younger drivers if they continue to let employees that are clearly experienced karters race with the public that have little to no experience karting. The employees did harp on safety in the pre race briefing which was solid and following the only serious accident while we were there, they shut the race down quickly. Employees were all welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. I would probably go back if I were in the area more often but without my kid or his friends until they get more experience karting. The karts are fast, they are not your typical entertainment venue go karts that putt along at 15 mph, that's an important distinction for parents. They appear to be well maintained and handle nicely. I frequent and have taken clients too what I can only assume is the brother track to this one, Dallas Karting Complex in North Texas and the experiences are similar. However, we didn't appreciate people that appeared to be track employees or friends of track employees (based on observed interactions with uniformed on duty employees) jumping into empty karts every race and blowing past everyone including my kid at flat-out Mach satan and causing my kid, his friend and others to panic, spin out or wreck in turns to avoid real or perceived collisions with them as they barreled around the track having fun beating up on all the less experienced people. I also saw a lot of pushing and bump and runs from them and others with no flags, which was disappointing. It was less of a problem for me because I've done this a lot and when I'm on the track with less experienced people I drive more conservatively but everyone else was so busy watching out for them and accommodating them that it took something away from the experience. Despite pep talks and advice on racing etiquette, my son and his friend didn't feel comfortable and were purely defensive feeling like they were just trying to survive, until their last race, when no employees (or friends of) were on the track and they were racing against other average Janes and Joes. Seriously, if EMPLOYEES have perks, I get it, that's understandable, but let them have their fun after the track closes to the public or have an "employee day" so the employees can be challenged by racing other people of similar experience and non-karting people that don't know how to properly yield to a much faster driver and don't have track awareness are safer, they feel like they can actually compete against other people on their level and it doesn't put a bad taste in their mouth financially. A comment I heard from another parent was that they "felt like they are paying for gas for employee play time" and I couldn't argue against the point. It's not a good look from a business standpoint. It's expensive kart racing. If DKC lets their employees or their friends race free with the public, I've never seen it. If the two tracks aren't associated then fine but it's a fair comparison. read more

Go Karts were fun and it wasn't a long wait. We asked if it would be fun for our 12-year-olds first time, and they said absolutely. He had a great time and started getting the hang of it towards the end. His first time driving a Go Kart, we expected him to knock into a few dividers. The two issues we had were 1. After he hit his last divider, one of the employees made a comment that he would be kicked out if he was older. 2. It looked like there was someone who was there to practice as he was in every race and fixing his go kart between racers and wearing a racing suit, that got upset at a few people while they were racing. Main thing is for a first-time racing, a child shouldnt have to hear that comment, and if you are there to do more than have a casual good time, then maybe it shouldnt be open to everyone. As much as my son loved it, he said he would be more comfortable going to a different one so he can learn while having fun. Long story short, definitely not for a kids first time, or people who may not want to full out race. read more

It was my first time there with my boyfriend, we got there and got told to register and as we were working on it a group of seven boys got inside which the lady behind the desk knew them so instead of taking care of us she decided it was a better idea get them set up first which it took her more then 25 minutes counting w three of them weren't register yet so we had to wait for them to get set up just for them to told us it is a waiting of 30 + minutes when I clearly heard her telling the other group they had to wait only 10 minutes . I stepped out because I felt like they weren't taking us serious because we are young and also colored. read more

This place would be so much fun IF...they didn't let SO many racers on the track, min age was 16, and they actually enforced their own rules! Overall, the way they run their business is dangerous and they don't care about their customers at all! They allow scary unsafe drivers to continue to race and if you're unlucky enough to get in an accident, don't even bother asking for ice. First and last time for us unless we rent out the place for a small private party. read more

These ain't the go-karts you are used to! Heard about this place from some friends in the racing community and decided to see what it was all about. It just opened so there's still some construction going on, but don't let that stop you. In fact, it's probably best to go before everyone finds out about this place. These karts are FAST, like 50mph fast. Fast enough to get you properly puckered going into some of the turns. Because of the speed, they won't let small children ride them. I think you have to be at least 54" tall to ride, so be aware that if you have small kids they're gonna be really upset when the big kids (parents) are out there racing each other. The karts are also adjustable for size (sliding pedals). I'm 6'1" 195lbs and felt fine, but still had some adjustment room to move the pedals out further if I wanted. Be prepared to embrace your competitive side when you put your helmet on. You will have your own profile where your lap times are stored and displayed at the end of each race. Races are 10 minutes each and give you enough time to get around the challenging track about 8-10 times depending on your skills. This place is perfect for learning how to properly navigate a race track. With each successive lap, you'll be able to adjust your entry and exits from turns to improve your lap times. I left satisfied with my progress and eager to return to see how much I can improve. Get out there and get racing, but stay outta my way foo! read more

My family had to wait over 2 hours to ride a go-cart for 10 minutes. We finally gave up after being told repeatedly that "our turn was next", six times, after having patiently waited for our turn for 45 minutes. The friends we came with gave up after an hour and a half, and we should have followed their example. When we had finally had enough and decided to leave without using our rides, we were then told that they have a no refund policy, and our rides would be available next time we came. Paid for rides on our account or not, I won't be subjecting my child to a 2+ hour wait again. We won't be back. read more

It is not your Chuck E Cheese racetrack. These carts are quick. I have raced here many times. Yes, during peak times in the best weather there is a wait. Plan accordingly. The carts are well-maintained and typically are very homogeneous for racing with your Krew. You won't be disappointed with the speed or challenge. See ya on the track. read more

Love this place, by far the best karts in the Houston Conroe area, they go really fast 40-50 mph and the track is enormous, a fast lap is around a minute long. Standard pricing and chill workers would definitely recommend. read more

If it's busy, be prepared to wait 1 -3 hours to ride. We waited close to 2 hours before my son rode a go kart. There was confusion as to the order in which one would ride. Also, an additional cost such as the $2.50 for helmet and $5 for insurance. Therefore, one race will cost $35.18 (race, helmet, insurance, and taxes). My kid did say the race was fun and fast. We will definitely go again but when it is less people. read more

I've been coming here for a while now and really enjoy this place. The track to me is just right with a long straight away and some challenging turns. The go carts are really fast and very well maintained. The owner and employees are all terrific. The other thing that's cool is after your race your race results get emailed to you. This is a great place to come out and race some fast go carts in a great family oriented environment. read more

Parking isn't too far from the track, the prices here are standard and if you're updated on social media they have discounts depending what day it is. There's a lot to offer here there is double seat karts for anyone not interested in operating the kart but would like to enjoy the ride. There's also an LO206 kart for rent at this track for the ones who like to go faster. i believe this track is challenging and very easily to be one of the most competitive tracks in Houston, Texas. read more

My husband and I went and had a blast. ! These karts are not rigged to run slow they will go fast!!! We loved it. Our Only issue is that online is says they close at 10pm and when we got there at 7:40 they told us they close at 8. So we had 20 minutes. Which sucked because we drove 2 hours to get there. The guy gave us a discount tho which was pretty cool so we did the 10 minute ride for 2 and payed about $50. It's a big pricey tho because without the discount you'd be paying like 75$ which is super pricey. The add says 25 per person BUT you have to pay for some type of insurance and then for the head peace you wear under the helmet. So there are a lot of hidden fees so watch out for that. Overall we had fun. I would recommend just be aware of pricing. read more

I went yesterday with some friends and had a great time. This was not my first time on a real karting track, but I haven't been a lot, either. The staff were informative and nice. The guy who runs the track (i'm sorry I forgot your name, if you are reading this) was real cool, and would hop into his kart and do a few laps. We got rained on a little, but had so much fun trying to keep any grip while going fast. We smashed into walls, raced like idiots, and had a great time. I plan on going back on sunday, and probably monthly visits. This place was great! read more
