Our daughter is quite active (read: doesn't like to sit still) and also had a speech delay. They have been so amazing working with her. Her speech has come SO far and I often forget she is behind because she has learned to communicate so well! I love that they have a plan in place for each child that gets re-evaluated every so often to make sure the child is making progress in any areas you feel they need more help. At one point during a parent/teacher, I mentioned that she was still struggling a lot with her numbers. She came home within the next two weeks with significant improvement. This isn't a glorified daycare. Everything they do is based in learning, yet they keep it fun and play-based! And if all that wasn't enough to convince you this place is top-notch... I can't even begin to tell you how much they love the kids. They are patient, kind, and consistent. Any time we walked in (before Covid changed drop off policy), they would always say "Zoeeeeee!!!!!" upon our entrance, excited to see my daughter. And lastly, they will assist in potty training and are SO excited for your little ones as they make big changes!

After spending the day with him, he definitely needs more one on one attention with a teacher assistant to officially potty train him, remind him to have gentle hands around his fellow students, assist him in keeping his shoes on both inside and outside the classroom for his safety, and to make certain he doesn't rip up books and other classroom belongings. I think you are definitely on the right track with getting him tested for speech and seeing what other ways the school district can assist you in your academic journey. We've loved watching him grow in his learning, his words, and his play. What sealed the deal for us during our initial tour at Goddard was a moment I'll never forget. I was an absolute wreck, just not ready to hand my baby over to strangers. Sensing my anxiety, the infant teacher, Ms. Jess, gently pulled me aside, gave me the warmest hug, and promised me that my son would be in the best hands with her and her fellow infant teacher (Ms. Bri). In that moment, she made me feel like family. Her kindness and reassurance brought me so much peace, and I'll always be grateful to her for that. She is in the toddler class with Ms. Bri and is always so excited to go to school. Bri is so warm and loving and provides such a safe and fun environment for my daughter. She communicates extremely well and sends lot of cute photos throughout the day. It's always hard sending your kiddo to school not knowing how they will adjust - even if it's the 3rd time you've done it! So seeing them excited at school is so reassuring as a parent. My middle child just moved up to PreK with one of our favorite teachers, Ms. Nicci! My oldest had her a few different times while she was at Goddard and we are so excited to be back in her class. She really knows how to run a classroom with bigger kids where they get to learn and have fun without too much chaos. I know how hard that is with a bunch of 4 & 5 year olds!
