Initially we hired the team to install recessed lighting on a ceiling at least 12' high along with a new GFI outlet in our bathroom. Super disappointed with East West and bummed to have to update our review. We've been a customer with East West for over 3 years now, and have had them install multiple lights (3 chandeliers, porch light, outdoor lighting) as well as recommended them to multiple people & family members (they worked on 2 other family members homes). We used to enthusiastically recommend them to everyone who asked- however sadly we can not say they are the best any more. In October we had them install closet lights and one of them broke last month. We paid $700 for the installation. We contacted them feeling confident they'd make it right as we've had no problems with any of their other installs. Sadly, not the case. Though it was only 7 months after they put the light in, they said they only guarantee their "labor" but because the light broke they would not fix the light. They said we would just need to pay them to install again. We asked how we'd know if it the light they installed would not just break again and they said they didn't. It looks to be a super cheap part and I'm guessing the company has no warranties on it whatsoever because they were unwilling to help us. Just charge us again. It's super disappointing they'd put such a sub par product in that just breaks and won't do anything to fix it other than just charge all over again. Just so bummed that they didn't make this right after being a customer so long and doing so many projects with them. It wouldn't have cost much for them to just fix the light and we could continue being a happy customer singing their praises. Now we have no options other than to hire a different company to completely redo the light, hopefully with something that doesn't just fall apart in 7 months. read more
