Not only do they have the best pumpkin selection, but they are really nice and customer oriented. Bring cash since they don't take CC's.

She been…read moreloving the decorations and Christmas lights she saw in our neighborhood or when driving around, so I thought this would a great family outing to close our the holiday season. If heard of Shady Brooks light show and has never been myself - neither had my boyfriend - so it was the first time for all of us. We paid in advance online and there was luckily a discount so we only paid $25 per car instead of the original listed price of $45 per vehicle. It's was about a 40 minute drive for us coming from the city and we luckily didn't have any traffic on our way there or back. When turning into their site, they had signs to direct you to the lanes/area to drive through the light show. Once we got to that area, we drove up to the booth so they can scan our ticket, handed us a newspaper/booklet to go with it, and we were on our way! The light displays, concepts and sections (e.g. "12 Days of Christmas" with 12 displays of drummers drumming) were very well done. Our little one loveeeeedd it - except for the Grinch of course because, he's the Grinch lol. It wasn't a short drive through but not too long either. Once we finished the light show, we did park and got out to take a quick look at what else was going on and get a lay of the land. Would definitely recommend checking this out for the holidays and we would come back to check out the playground for her, wagon rides, etc.

Five stars for their incredible holiday lights display! This is probably the most impressive…read moreholiday light display that I've ever seen. Prepare for around 30 minutes to drive through, but that will of course depend on how crowded it is. I don't love being outside in the cold, so absolutely loved that this was a drive through experience. Put some Christmas tunes on in the car and take in all of the magic! The enchanted forest and lit up trees was probably my favorite part. We only visited for the lights, but I've heard great things about all of the activities on the farm and would love to go back in the fall.

When we first started going this was a nice affordable way to spend a Saturday afternoon, and purchase a couple of pumpkins. I do not know what has happened. These events have become overly commercial and very expensive. All of the activities now take tickets. There was a slide that cost 2 dollars. This seemed exceedingly expensive. It used to be the activities were free, but you paid for food, the pumpkins, etc. I can understand charging for a hayride which we rode, and I have to say it was very nice , relaxing and fun. Both my 15 year old and 6 year old enjoyed this hayride. There is a lot to do, and the activities are fun. However, as stated above, you will pay for everything you do or eat here. The corn maze was fun, but a bit short. The highlight was the hayride. They did have a guy playing guitar and singing country types of songs. He was quite good, and the music added to the atmosphere. The hours are 12-4 which really should be expanded to end at 5 or 6. The bottom line is we had a good time, but spent over $75 for a 2 1/2 hour visit. This is not a very good value.

Nice flowers and selection but the customer service is atrocious anymore. I've been a customer for…read moreover twenty years and for the first time ever, I had an inquiry about the receipt and flowers I got, I've gone literally everyday for like the past three weeks like they know me and my hubs and kiddos by now - but for some reason today when I inquired about charges and flowers, the customer service I received was awful. They tried explaining but did it so fast then also said i was wrong bc the cashier remembers, which i can accept had they actually pointed out and showed me what was what but my cart wasn't in front of me (it was in the car by that time) and I had asked if they could just quick walk over to the car with me which was parked extremely close as it was not busy, to help show me what was what bc I was confused and didn't really get an explanation other than i was wrong bc the cashier remembers and instead of doing that, they shut their doors (the register is a tiny shed outside) and that was that. I am the friendliest human ever and was so incredibly nice about this and asking. Then once i walked back to my car to see if a manager could help bc i literally just wanted someone to show me which plants were what price wise/pot size wise. I genuinely was asking nicely. The girl who answered said the manager wasn't there and i asked if she could tell me when the manager would be in because i had questions about charges. She hung up on me. So i walked into the actual building where i asked for the manager, the girl walked over to the manager and he looked at me, she returned saying he didn't want to speak to me. It was the weirdest experience ive ever had there and it was kind of enough to put me off for good. I can spend thousands every year on florals and landscaping and bird items, anywhere. I liked supporting their biz but that. Felt so lazy and lame and like shit customer service i just never want to go back or let me kids near those kids running the place again. They're so disrespectful and just not cut out for customer service or providing floral or math/register service to adults period. Shady Brook ... you got a new lifetime customer bc I'm done with FHG.
