They came out the tech tried to get the printer in service mode did not know how, I showed him. Tech said it was the print head. I told him I had bought one to have on hand in case we needed it. He installed it, then said he thought it was not an OEM print head cause the writing was a different color. This was not the problem. Spent an hour on the phone with Cannon mostly on hold, to go through the diagnostic he had already done using his computers how to guides. At this point I had no issue I understand how things go. The Cannon tech support told him we need a new mother board for the printer. He said okay and hung up with them. Told me he would go get it from the office. Also insisted the print head was not OEM. Since I have contacted Cannon and verified it was an OEM print head but they sent me a replacement any ways. The tech never came back. After multiple emails and phone calls they finally told me I had to fix it on my own. Apparently, what irritated them was I had bought the print head from Cannon not them. The owner wrote that out in an email. Said, "I am reluctant to work on equipment of customers who don't buy parts and supplies from us." It was a print head for goodness sake. I was willing to purchase the mother board and anything else need to get this running.

I only needed 3. Clerk curtly said new rule by management. Ok. Print me 4 copies to equal 12 pages. So I paid $2.50 for 12 sheets of paper instead of 3????? Just me or stupid? He said bring the parts we were having trouble with along with the manual. He quickly spotted the problem, on the other side of the board there were a couple holes that were hard to see due to wood shavings. After waiting for over 5 minutes for a checkout clerk, I wandered around the store, and even went over to the copy station. Nope. I just left my purchases on the counter and walked out. Not the first time this has happened. It's been like that for awhile. I need to find another office supply store that actually has checkout clerks. This is ridiculous.

Walked in, immediately surprised by an almost vacant stance of employees; dingy, dirty flooring and poor lighting. See pics, but the store is clearly on the demise and I would be impressed to see this business spot opened beyond 2022/23. Absolutely, hands down the clearest image of a failing, corporate store front. Throughout the store, the floors haven't seen a floor cleaning or carpet cleaning in years, aside from trash on most aisles. The merchandise stands are in disrepair, falling down, crushed and again poorly lit. The stock in this store has greatly diminished from its days of glory. Shelves are scantily dressed with items in many spots, it's best to skip this place unless you need printer paper. On the flip side, it was great to see the business offered large canvas prints, poster board, etc., etc, but no prices posted anywhere. Especially since COSTCO ceased doing this in store, I had hopes to using this service locally. Waiting patiently, the singular employee never looked up to see if I or three other customers needed any assistance in a time span of easily a minute in front of the 'Assistance Desk'. Waiting just to SEE if they were going to identify my presence, (and the employee never did), I approached and inquired about pricing for said large canvas prints. No response salutation, from the employee, no good morning, no my apologies I didn't see you..., just a curt; 'They're online'. And that was it. LOL. Hit or miss. I live in Drexel Heights, so I have a 32 mile round trip…read more Sometimes the cartridges work fine. Other times, I either have to make multiple trips, or return a defective item. This week I got an HP 206x Magenta cartridge for my laser printer. As I was removing the tape the tiny plastic piece holding the chip fell oft. I couldn't figure out how to put the chip back onto the cartridge, necessitating now a 2nd trip to return the cartridge. It is a 90 minute round trip. So I will have 3 hours time invested in a product that doesn't work. On the positive side, they will either refund my money if it's less than 30 days, or replace the item. I will opt to return. It would be less time, albeit more expensive, to go to Office Max and get the cartridge there, instead of not being able to print for several days. I should have saved my old cartridge. At least I would have been able to print black and white. The staff however, gets an "A" for customer service.
