Do not go here, It is very Unsanitary- there is over flowing needles coming out the container which was very disgusting to see, the carpets smelled and you lay on hard cushioned bed tables from 1970's no lie. The doctor herself can not even speak proper English, do not believe the testimonials on the website it is lies.As a doctor she is rough and very pushy to have set up for a package deal. Stay away from here you will regret it like myself, she had left bruises on my right leg since she forgot to take out one the needle from my leg and threw a overheated dirty blanket on my legs with that one needle in left in my right leg. I called her the room and said "hi you forgot one the needles on my leg" and she laughed as if it was not an issue and roughly took it out. I highly DO NOT recommend this place. read more

I have been going to Dr Zhang for a year now, and I have nothing but good things to say about her. She is the third acupuncturist I've had in two years, and in my opinion the most professional. The rooms are simple, but clean. The beds are just normal beds like those at any other acupuncture doctor offices. I saw one person complain about the chiropractor beds, I'm not sure what that person is complaining about. It is the same bed that I've seen used all over other offices, including one ultra expensive Manhattan practice I tried. I"m just curious what exactly constitutes a acupuncture bed Ms Kate. M? Dr. Jiang is also the only one that I know that provides gowns. I don't know any other acupuncture practices that does that; they often just tell you to roll up your shirts, which can be very uncomfortable. But Dr. Jiang provides clean gowns for her patients, just like any other physicians office. Now, let's talk about the charges. The charges are the most reasonable I have seen. For about $70 you get a nearly two hours of treatment; both front and back. Yes, Dr. Jiang adds another massage charge, but let's be clear, that is a $10 charge for a 20 minutes of top notch massage! I never felt forced to have that extra service, but let me tell you, NO ONE can find another place in NYC that will give you a 20 minutes of professional massage for $10!! I wonder why Ms. Kate M left out the actual cost itself in her comments, maybe she's afraid that others might not have believe her? One last thing, Ms. Kate M claimed that Dr. Jiang fires her massage personnel frequently. I honestly cannot, in good conscience, agree with that statement. I've been going to Dr. Zhang for about a year now. There was only one personnel turn over. Dr. Zhang is caring and patient. I travel over an hour from Manhattan to see her every week, because I've seen a true difference in my overall well being since I started my treatment with her. I absolutely love Dr. Jiang. I came in a few months ago after being recently diagnosed with PCOS. I tried other medications and doctors and nothing seemed to work. It felt like a dead end. That was when I decided to do my own research and found that acupuncture could actually help with PCOS symptoms. Over the last few months, I started seeing small improvements. My skin was clearer, my hair grew longer, and my period symptoms were so much better. I was already sold. Today, I got some medical results back. All of my ovarian cysts are gone. Disappeared. Poof! My hormone levels are starting to stabilize. I couldn't believe it. None of the other medications doctors prescribed me worked. I honestly don't know what to say. I was even a little skeptical in the beginning, but wow. I did not expect such amazing results in so little time. I am so grateful for Dr. Jiang and I am going to continue having weekly sessions with her. Oh, I also want to mention that I used to get 2 or 3 migraines a week. Each month, my cramps, nausea and other symptoms would be debilitating. Since I started working with Dr. Jiang, I have maybe had 2 or 3 headaches, and my monthly symptoms are so much more manageable. I was trying to conceive and sought acupuncture treatment for almost 1 year from Dr. Eli Jiang. While the acupuncture itself made me feel more relaxed and I slept better, I did not get pregnant. While acupuncture can't possibly be solely responsible for whether one conceives, when I fired Dr. Jiang and switched to an acupuncturist who actually does specialize in treating conceiving women/men/ infertility, I got pregnant within 4 months, as she had promised. Dr. Jiang represented that she has specialized in infertility / conception but she is a generalist. After many failed cycles, she then resorted to blaming the sperm even though I had proof that there was nothing defective in the sperm factor. It is unprofessional to blame factors that are not responsible for the failure to conceive and she obviously felt guilty on some level for not producing the results promised. Dr. Jiang pressures patients to accept and pay for a massage after the acupuncture session. It is not made clear that you have to pay, and what the payment amount is. She claims it's a necessary component to acupuncture, but this is not true. It is a necessary component to line her pockets. Two of the four rooms she uses do not have proper acupuncture beds! they are chiropractor beds - very narrow and uncomfortable! You get the "bad" rooms if you arrive after another patient took it, even if she promised you the "good" room. Obviously these two beds should be replaced, but that would require investing money in her patients, which I guess is not a priority. Even though all sessions are by appointment only, she must have accepted walk-ins because several times I had to wait over 20 minutes for a room even though she would claim it would be available in "5 minutes." Dr. Jiang would fire the massage personnel at a very frequent pace but would lie about it and tell you that whomever you were asking about "went to visit her mother in Canada." The massage personnel were recent Chinese immigrants who barely spoke English but had a good work ethic and attitude. If you wish to get pregnant / combat infertility I would not recommend Dr. Jiang because she does not specialize in this. The acupuncturist who subsequently treated me used completely different entry points than did Dr. Jiang, who seemed to just randomly put needles around my uterus and ovaries. read more

Dr. Eli is really amazing and truly gifted. I had atopic eczema on my face over a year and had been to a few dermatologists and another acupuncturist but I found nothing worked. My neighbor recommended Dr. Eli, saying she is great. Dr. Eli examined me very carefully and thoroughly (did not happen with the other acupuncturist) at my first visit. She treated me with acupuncture and gave me Chinese herb to drink it at home. Within the first week, my eczema started to disappear dramatically... Then within 3 weeks, red rushes and itchiness were completely gone. Amazing! It was really like a magic! Big Thanks to Dr. Eli. For the healthy maintenance of the body, I've been to her for the past 3 years. She is very caring, cheerful and respectful to her patients. At every visit she checks my tongue and pulse on my both arms and gives me treatment based on my body's need. Plus, after the acupuncture treatment, this place provides a free massage treatment from a massage therapist. It's really a treasure. The time spent at this place is one of the most relaxing moments for me in a week. I'm very surprised with the bad review below. I've never had a bad experience there. I've recommended this place to many of my friends and received wonderful reviews from them. The place is clean, and there is no way needles flowing over the container. I've never seen like that. I have been coming for acupuncture and massage for a herniated disc causing nerve compression and intense pain in my neck, shoulder, forearm and hand. I have tried other acupuncture places, 6 months of PT, home cervical traction and I have to say because of Dr Jiang and her staff, the painful symptoms are finally starting to subside. The office is not fancy but she is a skilled practitioner. I feel confident in Dr Jiang's hands, she focuses in on the issue and is working toward and succeeding in alleviating chronic pain I have had for years. I would strongly recommend her. She does not promise instant results, she and I are aware this takes time to heal. I feel fortunate to have found her. read more

Eastern Care Acupuncture is amazing! I came here years ago to get treatments from Dr. Eli Jiang. I have now returned to start up consistent acupuncture and cupping therapy and every time I feel so relaxed and tired after, in a good way, like I just did a really intense workout. Dr. Eli is very kind and clearly cares for her patients, and she is very knowledgeable about chinese medicine. I will continue to come here for treatments and recommend it to anyone who needs it. I decided to go here last minute as I wanted to get acupuncture treatment. It was good that I was able to see the acupuncturist on short notice, but turns out that it wasn't a good thing after all. There was some miscommunication as I was trying to determine how much I would pay. They spoke with a heavy accent so it was difficult to understand as well. I first established that my copay for specialists was $60 and would be using my flexible spending account. During my treatment, they not only did acupuncture, but did acupressure massage and they wanted to do cupping as well. I stopped before they proceeded to do the cupping as I was worried about the cost. When it came time to checkout, she was going to charge me $100 for the acupuncture and the acupressure. During the consultation, she did not go into details on the treatments I would get. I stood firm by what my copayment is and she started antagonizing me and asking if money was a problem for me, when from the beginning she did not properly tell me what the whole visit would cost. In trying to book the appointment in haste, Dr. Jiang did not ask for my insurance information and thought that she could charge me whatever since I was using my FSA. She later found out that acupuncture is fully covered, which I had no clue. I called to ask if I could get a refund for my copayment and she started giving me a hard time and just hung up the phone. We'll see if she will refund me. I would avoid this place as they just try to get whatever amount of money they can. The acupuncture treatment wasn't the best one I've had either as the pain came back. There are better places in Queens for sure. read more

I initially went to Dr. Jiang after my husband praised her for helping alleviate his back and joint pain. I had been suffering from intense knee pain that persisted despite my going to my internist and an orthopedist. Dr. Jiang examined me, asked me a lot of questions, and started my acupuncture treatments that, coupled with electro-acupressure, and an exhilarating massage by one of her staff, left me completely pain-free within 5 treatments. I was so encouraged and satisfied that I began a weekly weight-loss through acupuncture regimen with her, as well. Thus far, in a little over two months , I have lost a little over 20. Lbs. I have found Dr. Jiang to be extremely caring, compassionate, and professional. While she does accept some insurance plans, mine is not one of them. Nonetheless, her rates are quite reasonable and, more importantly, I feel safe under her care. I think eastern medicine has a place in my healing and I like knowing that such alternatives instead of doctor prescribed or over the counter drugs that may have serious or unpleasant side effects are instead easily available through Dr. Jiang. read more
