For a Perry County Chinese Restaurant they are pretty good. You sure get a lot for what you pay for.

Everything I've ordered has been good - I like their Chicken & Cashews and Beef & Broccoli. Service isn't bad, although you'll find yourself competing with their voluminous call-in orders;). This evening we went to another location but were so put off by the hole-in-the-wall appearance and the unfriendly person behind the Plexiglas window -- not to mention the circle what you want on the menu and slide it underneath to her -- that we went to Great Wall which we intended to be the second restaurant we tried. Anyway, the wait was about 20 minutes from when we placed our order and we got take-out orders of Hong Kong Chicken and "kum po" which is what's on the menu. These were both combination meals that included pork egg rolls and pork friend rice. We had no complaints about the food -- it was hot and tasted great. I thought it was more oily than most Chinese food but otherwise fine. I had also requested the Kung Pao be extra-extra spicy but there was very little heat. The Hong King Chicken had pineapple, peppers, onions, broccoli and chillies in a ginger sauce and was great. I ate my entire meal; my other half was stuffed after eating half. Good food, reasonable price, reasonably quick service, and we really appreciated how friendly the person was at the counter -- she waved and welcomed us in when we arrived -- versus the grumpy looking person who ignored us at the other place.

After three consecutive strikes in a row, I decided to give these guys a break. I Even went as far as going to the Lancaster location in hopes of a better experience. (Lancaster is not as good in my opinion) I need to drop a star because the last 3 times I came here the service was very bad. 1 of the times it wasn't even busy. People who came well after my party of 4 was seated, already had their tea, and dishes served before we were even offered water. It was my daughter's birthday lunch too, which soured the whole experience. Another time, my order was messed up and I was told that I made the mistake (even though I ordered that item nearly every week since the place opened). Dishes are hit or miss with translation. It depends on the server. There is one lady that has a huge language barrier. When it's busy, she is very careless, I believe she is part of the ownership. I do understand how overwhelming it is when they are busy, hence only 1star is being removed. I don't want to be upset over a small business owners attempt to keep everything orderly while there was clear chaos and under staffing. Overall I am only dropping it one star because their food is still filling a vast need for authentic style Chinese in our area and there are no competitors. The food has still been a good experience depending on who's in the kitchen and what day it is. I will return once the weather is warmer (I hate the seating set up because if you are by the entrance, you freeze each time the door opens) I will see if service improves.
