Not crowded on a Saturday night

Menu is small and it's is a bit pricey; but portions are ample and the dishes are genuine. Kimchi jjigae is flavorful and spicy, perfect for a cold night. Owner and staff are friendly, if a little disjointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience is casual and warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will definitely return.

If I could give it a million star rating, I would! Everything this restaurant served was top notch. I wish I would've taken pictures of the interior but I was so awe struck by the taste of the food that I forgot. You can tell the owner takes great pride in his establishment, as well as his culture and sharing it with the customers. We started with the fried dumplings and Kimbap, which were fantastic. We then went to our mains, which were the Yööƙ Gal Tang and Gangjeong, which i highly recommend both. The Yook was a delightfully spicy soup that has quite the kick to it and is loaded with noodles, onions and vegetables; it is also served with rice, kimchi and pickled radishes. The Gangjeong also had a good kick of spice to it as well as a pleasant sweet sauce, it was served with rice as well. All in all, we will be back and can't wait to try the Korean fried chicken. Take a look at the pictures on the walls, they tell the story of a traveler who has climbed many peaks.

Bulgogi, tofu stew, kimbap, Korean fried chicken, and dduckbokki

We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in, and the staff remained just as friendly until we left. We ordered the fried dumplings, tofu stew, bulgogi, galbi, tteokbokki, kimbap, korean fried chicken honey garlic and sweet and spicy sauce--everything was delicious, and we loved that all the dishes came out at the same time. The tofu stew was hands down the best I've had so far--definitely a must-try! The owner was incredibly kind and attentive, constantly refilling our water and side dishes (banchan) without us having to ask. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also plenty of seating, quiet, and a great selection of refreshments to choose from.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We have been here before and I would have given it 5 stars, but the new chef or whomever just overcooked everything! Arghhh!! For $95 (including tip), we got overcooked boneless Korean chicken. It tasted so dry and hard! My bibimbap hot pot, the rice was too hard and crisp. My husband's breaded pork was over fried and also hard to eat. My son's noodles, which I forgot to take photo of, he said they were fine. If I ever return here then I'm going to have to tell the owner/waiter to not over cook the food that much. Last year the meal was tasty and perfect. Last week was not good. Korean everything is trendy: South Korea for travel, Koren skincare, Korean entertainment, etc so a lot of Americans love Korea and this place could be rocking like the Korean restaurants in NYC and northern VA, but that Hispanic cook girl just ruined everything. Also if the prices were lower, this place would be super crowded & would need another waiter. The owner is too slow and befuddlded to do everything on his own. It's a shame!

Every couple years we retry the Koop. And every couple years we are disappointed. It's kind of expensive and everythjng we order seems slightly off. Tonight we ordered medium kimchee. That was good. Though a medium seems pretty small. The other two items we ordered were the denjang jigae and welsched onion chicken. We didn't enjoy either. We also asked for utensils but weren't provided any. We went there before and had wings and they were pretty good. I prefer Korealicious and will have to try the new place at the mall.

Came here for lunch. I was greeted by a kind gentleman at the front and was told a number to be seated at a table. He then came over with water and a cup and menu. Gave me a little time to decide. I have to say... for Korean food, the menu was a bit on the pricier side. The chicken was fairly priced, so I got that to try as I could easily make the other dishes at home. The boneless honey garlic chicken was good, crispy and nicely paired with the pickled radish. I would probably come back for the chicken. Other diners did get the bulgogi and bibimbap and they seemed to be pretty happy with their meals. Ambiance is nice. Interestingly decorated. I would come here if I needed to satisfy a Korean meal craving. You pay up front at the register after you're done. There is limited parking out front.

Everything was delicious and the owner was very attentive and friendly. The Kim chi was really good, as were the pickled radishes. The wings were very tasty as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice photos of his Korean mountain climbing team adorn the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait to go back and try the spicy pork trotters. It's BYOB, but he does have an assortment of bottled ethnic beverages as well as the usual sodas & stuff. I definitely recommend this place, it's delish.

Finally found my go-to Korean place! Food and customer service were amazing! Water and banchan (small side dishes) were refilled without having to ask.

By the way, "Kimchee" is not a misspell; it's actually the Korean spelling to the more popularized Japanese spelling, "kimchi". Kimchi is a banchan/appetizer by itself but can accompany anything to kick it up a notch.  It's also a great source of probiotics. I most often add it to my rice dishes being Asian American and all, but I am looking forward to try it on a burger next time I get a chance -- a tip I just heard from Kevin the co-owner.  Joyce ("the" kimchee girl?) & Kevin operate their business with heart and soul and I won't hesitate to recommend that you to give their kimchi a taste. Kimchee Girl takes online orders for its kimchi products, but it also sets up tents outside of its office during the week and offers BBQ lunch boxes such as bone-in pork chops, kalbi short ribs, and (I haven't tried) Kimchee dogs. All of them of course feature their flagship Napa cabbage kimchi.  They also do pop-ups from time to time at events and farmers markets. You can also find their products locally in retail stores such as the Cornerstone Coffeehouse and the Healthy You Café.

I was staying in a nearby hotel and drove by almost every day for a week and decided it was time to try it on my last night in Lancaster. When I got there at about 5:45pm there were just a few tables occupied and it was easy to immediately place an order (you can order at the counter, or on a kiosk). I placed an order for japchae noodles and then a 5pc of drumsticks. It ended up being way more food than I bargained for and so I took most of the japchae to-go. The wings were made-to-order and had the characteristic double fry and then were bathed in a yum yum sauce. It was very good and not overly spicy. The japchae was fine but didn't have quite the same star power that the fried chicken had. The noodles were soft and portion was large though which was good. By the time I left about 30 minutes later, the restaurant was packed and there was a line to order that was nearly out the door. I can understand why this is a popular place!

Glad we did because the food was exactly what I'd envisioned with very little to no deviation. Walking in, we ordered from the kiosk machine the following: 15 piece mixed chicken soy sauce flavor, one order of fried pork potstickers which came in 8 pieces, 1 order of takoyaki which is fried octopus dumplings, 1 bulogi fried rice, an order of kimchi and house cucumbers, and sesame ginger salad with tofu as protein. The order was fulfilled in about 10 mins and it traveled well considering our drive back was about 10 ish minutes. If you are traveling far, I would maybe think twice about the fried chicken as it may get a tad soggy once you finally open the box. For us, everything tasted wonderful especially the fried chicken and bulogi fried rice. One thing I was not expecting was that kimchi definitely has a kick that I am not used to. Still ate it all but just beware. All in all, amazing service with the staffs up front and I would recommend.
