Rude front desk. Don't recommend this place! They don't do call backs and they act like you're bothering them.

I have read some of these reviews that I believe may be written by disgruntled/entitled minded people in general -- just my opinion. I have been going to this practice since the 90's (my early 30's) and I didn't think anyone could take Dr. Brummett's place when he retired , but Dr. Amy Kayl was the perfect fit for me as a primary physician. She is genuinely concerned about her patient's overall health - mental and physical. Her training as a D.O. has her caring for your whole well-being - that actually requires taking the time with a patient to actually get to know them. In today's medical climate - this is a rarity that finds me grateful to be under her type of care. As for the nursing staff & front office, I've never found anyone to be rude, but I believe everybody's entitled to have a bad day every once in a while. For me, they've been nothing but professional & helpful - I would have no problem calling that behavior out if I had experienced it. I have not seen the other doctors in the group so I cannot recommend or not recommend them. I know other people under their care and have not heard anything that stands out as negative. read more

Excellent group. My preteen daughter sees Dr. Kayl. She is wonderful with her and gets on her level. My husband sees Dr. Smith. He is incredibly smart, kind, and always professional. Highly recommend this office! read more

I first saw Dr Freeman about 2 years ago, and had a great experience. Friday, I was so sick I thought I had the flu. I called the office around noon and they were able to get me in later that day. This time I saw Dr Kirkland. I was very impressed with both doctors, the nurses and front desk clerks. The doctors and nurses were very thorough. I felt like they took the time to actually listen to my health concerns. The waiting room is large and comfortable and the wait time isn't long at all. I was in and out of the doctor's office within 45 minutes. They also give you online access to your records and billing, which is nice. I will say that if you aren't a patient, it would be a good idea to go ahead and get set up as a patient before you get sick. My first office visit took a couple of days to get in because I was not already established as a patient. read more

Doctors are good- if you can get passed the rude receptionist. I have referred several people to this practice and they all say she is rude. Not sure why this has not been fixed. read more

We have used Dr. MacLaughlin for several years. He is a very good doctor. He is very attentive to his patients. He is thorough with his examination and questions. He always tries to get to the bottom of the cause of your health issues. He will send you to a specialist if he thinks you need to see another doctor. read more

~This review is NOT reflective of doctors services but of the business operation.~ I made an appointment with this office back in Nov. 2012. I hurt my back and was unable to attend my visit in Dec. 2012 and therefore had to cancel and did so in enough time for them to place another patient. I phoned in Feb. 2013 to reschedule my canceled appointment. My appt. was rescheduled for late April. I scheduled my appt for 10:00 in my calendar but when I received an appt reminder on my voice mail the day before, the operator informed me my appt was at 10:30. She NEVER stated that I had to be there 30 minutes early. I show up for my appt at 10:34 and am informed that I missed my appt because I was to be there at 10:00. I argued with the desk clerk that I was not informed that I had to be there 30 minutes early for new patient paperwork. Needless to say that I was not a happy camper. I am a college educated mother of 3. I've lived in 4 different states and have had many dr.'s appts. for me or for me children. I have not ever encountered such miscommunication before in my life. Dr.'s offices these days have you go online and fill in your information before you arrive at their office so that you don't have to do it there. If they don't have an online service as such they don't tell you to be there early they just schedule you enough time for paperwork. And what dr's office has so much paperwork for you that it requires 30 minutes to fill out? This review, I hope, will not discourage you from visiting this office but inform you that there are some communication issues. I see this issue as a reason for ME to NOT visit this office. If they have this much trouble communicating with their patients then what other problems will there be down the road? Just saying. read more

Everything was fine until I had a rough patch with my diabetes that had me very sick and kept me out of work for two days. First, I was told that despite my condition, I would not be able to see the doctor (or anyone) until THEY were ready to see me. (3 days later) THEN I was told that despite my wife having lost her job just before the holidays and funds running dangerously low that I would need to pay $40 before the doc would see me. I offered to pay the balance within a week when I get paid again, but "Office policy" prevented them from accepting such a payment arrangement. Don't get me wrong, Dr. Charles Kirkland is a great guy who helped me out a lot with my diabetes but when it comes to $40 versus someone's health- a diabetic at that-, the $40 is more important to Daphne Family Practice. If that's the kind of company you want to do business with, by all means do so, but beware, your good health is insignificant next to the sum of $40. I have been a patient of Dr. McLaughlin for around 4 months now. I've only seen him 3 times, but I really like him. He has a great bedside manner and relaxed confidence about him. I always feel that he is listening to me and genuinely cares about my well being. The ladies at the front desk are great, and always helpful when making appointments. read more

Went here on my off day. Scheduled an appointment two months in advance for 10:00. Arrived at 10:00, but waited for 5 minutes while the ladies at the desk finished their paperwork. They told me I was late to my appointment since I should have been their at 9:30 to fill out paperwork. I told her that no one told me I had to be there 30 minutes early. The lady at the desk called someone to check, but eventually came to the conclusion that I would need to reschedule. The lady next to me was in the same situation. I called and left a message with the office manager, Paula. She never called me back. I had to call back a week later and tell the ladies I was going to wait on the other line to speak to her, or I was going to ask to speak to her boss. Finally got a hold of her... she was very nice, but did not offer any solution or really act like she was going to do anything about the problems they are having on her side of the practice. In my opinion, the doctors are great, but the office is VERY poorly run. Overbooked and quick to turn away patients. read more

The doctors are wonderful, however the administration staff is extremely rude & snobby. One in particular will literally huff & puff at you if you dare ask a question! The nursing staff is completely incompetent & doesn't bother to return phone calls, I've ran out of prescriptions 4 times in the past year because they don't return phone calls. read more
