In my sad (pathetic) desperation I sought the miracle cure to this hangover from hell... enter this place and the angels that work here. No appointment needed and they gave me a great deal for an IV drip coming to $125 (with a coupon) and had some pure oxygen added to! The procedure was very professional and almost spa like. I was a tad nervous at first but the kind woman who helped me put me right at ease and once we got started my worries washed away. Within 20 mins (takes about an hour for the full drip) I was feeling amazing and so much better. Honestly I would come back here once a week if I could, this stuff works as it pumps you full of vitamins and hydrates you. I arrived SIX minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The waiting room was completely empty. The receptionist told me I had to reschedule. For SIX minutes. She wouldn't let me speak to anyone else. She couldn't give me an explanation for the reschedule except "that's what the doctor wants to do". She was rude and the refusal to see me was ridiculous. I did not reschedule and will find another doctor.

I maintain that scheduling is difficult because the workers at the desk rely on customers leaving a message so a red light displays on the phone rather than answering the phone when you call. So, after 5 days of phone tag, I was able to schedule an appointment. Then while trying to schedule the appointment it became clear that new patients are only given very slim options for appointment times; this added to my frustration as my schedule leaves very little availability and I would have to drive from Mobile. There were no reminder calls or contact with me between my scheduling call and the appointment. I left my office in Mobile, and was on the Bayway at 3:30 for my 4 o'clock appointment. Added frustration: Google maps does not understand that they have two different offices and it does not know where one of the locations is- unless you are a local or someone who knows that Greeno Road is the same as the road with a different name on the street signs. When I arrived late, the receptionist indicated that they were aware of this issue; even so, no one answered the phone or called before the appointment to offer directions. I called nonstop from 3:30 until 4:20. No one ever answered the phone. I found the office and walked in the door at 4:20. When I told the receptionist that I had been calling nonstop since 3:30 the receptionist told me I should've left a message. Apparently, a red light would have indicated I left a message so they would have returned my call sooner than me hanging up the phone and ringing them again. Then, the receptionist and another worker turned me away. This is why I've updated this rating to 2 stars: I was very frustrated and left a review on Yelp and Google Maps as well as Groupon. I also called and left a voicemail for the office manager. The next morning by 9:30 AM I had a voicemail from him. He was very personable and helpful, and was willing to work with me on my schedule to get me back in the office. He explained that it is not their policy to turn away clients and had made sure this was clear with all employees. He pointed out that the office does return calls, which is true if you leave a voicemail; he also explained that they have a very large call volume that results in it seeming like they don't answer the phone though that is not their standard protocol. He also offered to do whatever it takes to make up for this error, which made me feel very optimistic about this process.So, I am rescheduled for the following week (because of my schedule, not their scheduling) and we will see how it goes.

Eleven months ago, I decided to check something off my bucket list. That was to try a directed…read moreexercise program. I had tried the YMCA before but it was not for me. At the time, I was considerably heavier but would try to keep up with others around me. I hurt my neck and never went back. I tried swimming along with Weight Watchers and that worked really well for a time, until my mother passed away. I just could not go back. After my meeting, I would run by her house and she would have a healthy meal ready for me, anxious to see how much I had lost. It was crazy, because she was so proud of me. Again, I could not go back to it. About 13 years ago, I had weight loss surgery. It was the only thing that worked for me and I was able to lose a considerable amount of weight. A couple of years ago the implanted medical device I had failed and had to be removed. I had a revision to another weight loss procedure and was able to get back to the lowest weight I had reached with the first procedure. I could not lose one more ounce. It was very frustrating. Several women at work participated in a Fit Body Boot Camp. At my age, I was sure I would set myself up for failure. However, I learned of Fit Body Forever, run by the same wonderful people, but for those over age 55. An advertisement appeared on Facebook for three free introductory sessions. I decided to jump in prior to the usual on slot of exercise eager people at the first of the year and went for my first session the week of Thanksgiving. It was a great decision for me as I was able to come home and soak in hot water after each session since I was off from work all week. That first session was hard but I made it through. I did not even throw up-I thought I was, but did not. I find the trainers to be very considerate of each person's ability or physical restrictions. The class size is limited so that the trainer can keep a close watch on everyone. I was impressed with the amenities offered by the gym as well. Each member has access to a physiotherapist; there is the offer for a grocery store tour as well as assistance with food plans by a certified nutritionist. I thought that I knew all I needed about the grocery store, but found some great tips from my tour. There are regular challenges to help boost weight loss and strength building. This gym is more like a family. Alpaca Yoga is being offered soon, which is another item on my bucket list. Fit Body Forever has helped me get past a weight loss stall that had become a huge downer for me. My surgeon is very pleased with my progress. I am not sorry that I had the weight loss procedures, but I know that without this exercise program, I can never reach my goal. Thanks to Steven Hadley. Ashleigh, Nitza, Tracy, Carmen, Paige and Kara. My lifetime dream of being a "normal" weight will soon be a reality. A bonus is making many new friends.
