I'm not someone who runs to the doctor. I'll sit with a fever for a week before going in. So when I do show up, I'm taking it seriously. The doctor was friendly and ultimately prescribed the right treatment, covering two possible diagnoses at once, which I appreciate. However, the communication was lacking. The discharge paperwork only referenced one condition, with no mention of the second possibility. I only found out because my husband recognized the prescription names. When I asked the staff what the second medication was for, the answer was essentially that it "goes with" the first, which isn't an explanation. Patients need to know what they're being treated for and why, especially when the diagnosis is uncertain. read more

I was a first time walk in at this clinic last week and it was very busy. Only took 45 minutes to see an extremely pleasant and knowledgeable nurse. Dr Simpson was 5 minutes later. Diagnosis was exact (although I thought is was something totally different), immediate relief from the prescription he sent in. Would definitely choose this practice in the future. I was very impressed with the clinic itself, friendly staff and spotless room and a more hospital feel than walk in clinic. I've been to a couple of other walk-in clinics that are actually closer to me but they were nothing like this in the atmosphere or care (diagnosis). read more

Ok, first off, let me say Dr. Mahoney was amazing. He asked lots of questions and was very thorough with my exam. It's when he stated to make sure that I was allergic to penicillin is when I went Huh? Because I am not allergic to penicillin. So, the nurse who first examined put down in my chart that I was allergic to amoxicillin and erythromycin. I told her Augmentin and azithromycin.......that is very concerning that my allergies were wrong. That could be very dangerous for someone else. The facility seemed clean though. read more

Incompetent "drs". Took my boyfriend in for stomach upset, diarrhea and body aches after being exposed to the flu. They told him he had an upper-respiratory infection and sent him away with cough meds for a cough he doesn't have. I called when we got home and they were rude and dismissive over the phone. Told me it's most likely the flu but they didn't say that while we were there or give any other information. Would definitely NOT recommend. read more

Run don't walk away from this place! If you let Dr Nikhil N Mally touch you you'll never walk again! My orthopedic doctor was shocked to hear that this joke of a doctor actually twisted and pulled on my broken ankle saying he had to " Set it" when in fact he said what he did to me most definitely broke my talus bone which connects the foot to the leg and is a delicate area. He asked me why would Dr Mally try and set it because my ankle was broken on the ball! The swelling had my foot looking funny so this joke of a doctor decided it looked that way because it needed setting. So he twisted and turned and pulled in the most painful way possible with no pain medication and me screaming for him to stop. So now I get to have surgery because of what this incompetent person did. so thanks a bunch Dr Mally. RUN OUT if Dr MALLY tries to touch you because if he does you may never run again. Dr. M and his staff have always been great with my family. I've never walked out unconfident in the diagnosis my family or I was given. If I could choose Dr. M as my family physician, I'd do it in a heartbeat. If I can't get in to see my doc, ESUC is always my first choice. read more

I have been here many times with my self, children, and husband. I have always had good service and accurate diagnoses.

My fiancé had to have recent care here and we were amazed at the response time and customer service he received here!! They even made sure I was included in coming with him instead of waiting in the reception area. We were both so thankful for the attention to detail and the care & concern he received from all of the staff from the receptionist to the physician! We will definitely keep this place in mind for care should we need it in the future!!! read more

I agree with the other reviewers go somewhere with a reputable doctor. My dad went here to have a cyst on his back treated, they cut him so deeply and failed to properly bandage the wound with a pressure bandage they only put on an Band-aid. He was bleeding so badly he had to be taken to another facility for proper treatment it took a full yard of packing material to treat the wound and a week of care and follow-up from a qualified doctor. read more

I brought my husband in for an urgent medical situation. He was stung by a wasp, had swelling and redness, and he had been nauseated and vomiting all morning. We were told our insurance wouldn't cover him without a referral. Which; who gets a referral in an urgent situation? We also explained that because he has never had insurance before, his only previous doctor visits were low-income clinics or emergency room. So we had nobody to get a referral. We had to drive all the way to the hospital in Fairhope. On the way I called my insurance customer service (bcbs) and asked about the referral and explained the situation and what had happened. She advised me that for emergency services, a referral is NOT required. Because again, nobody is getting referrals during an emergency. We got to the hospital and the nurses here also confirmed that an emergency does not require a referral. If they were not sure (@urgent care), they also could have called the insurance to confirm. The hospital's intake person also confirmed that a simple check would show that we were covered for this emergency visit. She also shared with us that this location frequently sends people here for unnecessary reasons. But it is pretty clear they took one look at us and did not want to deal with us. I'm pretty annoyed because my husband has had to suffer for much longer then he needed. So just heads up, if you are poor/low income and have insurance for the first time, save yourself some time and head to an emergency room. read more

I took my daughter last Wednesday afternoon for what I thought may be a stomach bug as she couldn't keep anything down. We checked in and were called to hallway by office. I was wondering why they didn't call us to a room. The doctor came out and talked with my daughter for a few minutes and after getting all the info, we were told to go to ER because they didn't have imaging equipment if it might be appendicitis or colitis or such. We did go to ER and it was appendicitis. We have used this Urgent Care since they opened and have never had a bad experience. Not only were we sent to the ER, this office called the next day to check on my daughter and see if we found the problem. I am grateful for such a great office close to home! I recommend them all the time and this visit was just another feather in their cap! Thank you Eastern Shore Urgent Care!! read more

I was seen at ESUC over the weekend. The service was great. After being checked in at the door by a very polite young man, I was given my paperwork to fill out, a beeper, and returned to my vehicle. I must say, I felt better waiting in my car. After a small wait, I was called inside. I waited there briefly and was then called to the back for triage. Everyone was professional and timely. I was examined by the PA, tested twice for COVID, and thankfully received a negative result. I was treated for an upper respitory infection and am feeling much better. If you are in need of medical care, I would certainly recommend ESUC. read more

Very well staffed. Clean and fast. They have always been very good to me. I think this is a great place and very convenient for small emergencies. They always give me a detailed description of meds and symptoms. They also call your medication into the pharmacy. Saves time when u really dont feel well. Beats sitting in the ER all day. read more

The Eastern Shore Urgent Care Center lacks any type of customer or patient service. I was treated very disrespectfully when I informed the receptionist that I should not have to pay the $50.00 CO- pay because I had already paid my Out of pocket max for the year. The next thing that happened was the office manager came to give me a lecture in front of everyone about paying before service. The BEST MEDICAL FACILITY I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! Have taken my disabled autistic son there for 10 years!! Have taken my 89 year old mother there - most loving care possible! And we have used ESUC MULTITUDES of times for MANY different and difficult complex medical issues. Dr. M and his team of doctors and nurse practitioners and nurses and front desk staff are THE BEST! Correct diagnosis EVERY time. I have chosen to drive an hour to see Dr. M vs. go to the ER out of town! Kind, companionate, and highly skilled!! NEVER had any billing issues. I wish I could have Dr. M. as our family physician. His former ER experience makes him exceptional at triage and critical care - and if his team believes you need to go to the ER, they will explain why. Based on medical information and diagnosis. Do not go here. Go to a reputable doctor. My daughter had two diagnosis in two trips and it turns out both were wrong. The manager is incompetent and the doctor even more so. They will bill you, refuse to return calls, send to collections over bogus charges. If I had to give zero stars I absolutely would. I would like to state that once they have made a mis-diagnosis, they refuse to admit, refuse to return phone calls or admit mistakes. V Harmon come in the room while you're waiting to see a dr. with your sick child and proceed to be rude and loud about you owing money. I will NOT be back. Eastern Shore Urgent Care is super convenient. The doctors are nice and the nurses are helpful. Health care has never been easier.

I went in for cold and congestion. They prescribed an antibiotic that was ineffective. I called after a week asking Dr. to call in something new. No one returned my call. After 3 days I called again. They refused to change the antibiotic, simply refilled the same ineffective antibiotic. I do not recommend them. Use your regular doctor if you can, even if it less convenient. In the long run, it is worth it. read more
