Wow what can I say! I have severe Claustrophobia and I needed a clearance for a medical procedure…read morethat I am having. I had to have a full series of Echocardiogram and Nuclear stress. The front staff is so amazing at Port Jeff Location, Ashley assured me I would get through the Nuclear test and the cat scan machine. They let me try it before having the radiation injection, and I freaked out from my claustrophobia. Frank and Rocco were very companionate about my problem and we sat and talked about getting me through the anxiety. I had no choice to get medical clearance for my surgery and they both helped me calm down and talked to me every step of the way. Today I accomplished one of my biggest fears with the help of the entire staff and I am very grateful to all of them. I thank all of you that work there, this was a very big step since I have not been able to do an MRI, Cat Scan, and get on an airplane since I was at 911. I highly recommend Island Cardiovascular and Dr. Malhotra!

From the first visit I could tell she genuinely cared about her patients and finding the appropriate individualized treatment plan. She listens to any concerns and is able to address them with sincerity and compassion. I am glad to have her as my doctor and I highly recommend her. I needed it done rather quickly (my procedure is next week) and my deadline to hand in my school forms without getting penalized is coming up soon as well. I called Wednesday morning and they got me in the next afternoon!! My appointment was at 1pm, I arrived at 12:45 and they brought me back into the room at 12:50....AMAZING!!! I got my physical, a booster shot, and some blood work to show my titers. I was out the door a little bit before two, with my clearance form in hand. I couldn't be happier!!!

The girl who did the ultrasound was very rude, after I drank 2 quarts of water, she sent me back to…read morethe waiting room 3 times to drink another 2 quarts of water and finally gave up because she couldn't get the images she needed. She then wanted me to come back the next day to repeat the process and drink another 2 quarts of water! I called my doctor and told her I would not repeat the procedure there and she ordered a different procedure, but when I went to have that procedure done they said they couldn't do it until I first repeated the other procedure again! They also said that my doctor couldn't rescind the other order and I had to have it done before they could do the procedure without drinking all the water again! The test was to confirm I had kidney stones and it took a month to get it done because of their incompetence
