In my experience they were condescending, unprofessional, and rude. I called because I was not satisfied with the service, and before I could fully explain the issue I was repeatedly interrupted and felt verbally attacked. The interaction was completely uncalled for. It appears this company primarily services Home Depot's countertop program; in my view, that relationship keeps them in business despite poor customer service. The install was great! These guys were on time, kind, polite and willing to go that extra mile for us. New countertops look fabulous! We had one hiccup that prevents me from giving a full 5 stars. When they began the installation, they put in a stabilizer plate over the dishwasher so the stabilizer tabs from the dishwasher could be attached. Unfortunately the screw heads were a bit too low, and when we went to open the dishwasher that evening, the screw head gouged a big gash in the control panel. We had to adjust the feet on the dishwasher so it would open and close properly. The dishwasher still works, but the gash is unsightly. Probably something that should have been quality checked before they left. read more

Had a simple 2 ' x 8' countertop with two holes for sinks. Took the guy 2 hours to use lasers to measure for a template. The countertop came in two pieces, was expecting one piece. Then they had to field cut one piece because it was a half inch too long. The the 2 pieces join at a slight angle in the middle and it's pretty noticeable. Then they sent one of the backsplash pieces in the wrong color. Where is their quality control? Would not recommend. read more

We had an Eastern Surfaces crew install the kitchen counter-tops we bought from Home Depot. A few weeks ago, we noticed the grout cracking at the spot where the smaller piece was connected to the larger piece. And recently, the crack got larger and the smaller section of the tops has risen a bit so as to make that piece uneven where they meet. We called the company and were told that a repair would cost $490. That is a terrible price! The crack has gotten wider and I noticed that there is nothing in the space in between the two pieces that looks like a bonding agent that should have been used to bond the pieces together. Both sides of the pieces show bare granite. This crack and displacement of one piece has obviously happened because of a lousy installation. And for the company to offer a repair at a very hefty $490 is totally inconsiderate. I will never recommend this company to anyone. And to potential buyers ...YOU SHOULD BEWARE!! As some of the other poor reviews indicate....there are other Home Depot customers who have been taken advantage of by this arrogant company!! read more

Do not use this company!! we had them install a countertop and they cut into our cabinet and refused to repair. We only used this company because it was Home Depot who recommended them. I'll provide an update since I finally got my countertops installed. After finding out the original lead guy was a subcontractor, the crew that was in today was awesome. They did the work and I didn't hear one complaint and they were extremely professional. The lead guy even introduced himself to me (unlike the first guy). They explained the entire process and even advised me when I had to avoid the kitchen because of the seam sealing. They even explained to me what I need to do if I get a little scratch in the surface and what to us to clean it. I've didn't give full stars just because the subcontractor that initially came left a very bad impression on me. I've including pictures, of everything after they were done. We did business with Eastern Surfaces a few years ago and had them install a granite bar countertop. We were pleased with the results. Recently we decided to get our bathroom sink tops replaced by Eastern. As usual there was plenty to choose from and they were very helpful. We placed our order. I hired a contractor to remove the old sinks and disconnect the plumbing. We scheduled the Eastern Surfaces installation. The contractor was going to come over the following morning so he could reconnect the plumbing. The installers were late and I believe they finished around 8:00 PM. We purchased 3 faucets for the new sink countertops through Eastern, the installers didn't have them. They called and I was told yes they did forget to give the faucets to the installers, and they would get them to me in the morning. I told them I had a contractor coming in the morning to install the faucets and plumbing. There was no urgency from Eastern about getting the faucets to me and I ended up canceling the contractor because no one at Eastern could tell me when to expect the faucets. I got the faucets in the afternoon. My contractor couldn't come out until two days later to hook things up again, so we had no bathroom sinks for a couple days. What really bothered me was there was never an email or call asking us to see if everything was OK. I feel that's because they knew they screwed up. They aren't anything near what they were years ago, big disappointment! They most certainly lost my business. I gave them 2 stars because the installation was good. read more

Lots of countertop materials to choose from and Zac was a huge help and even directed us to check out granite we thought we didn't want to use, but after looking at some slabs we made granite our choice! Installers and measurements were quick and workers were all professional. Only complaint was email back and forth with Virginia over backsplash and when I told her price was too high and we'd check other options, she was rather rude in her reply that "we still need to get that laminate backsplash off." Might be true, but I didn't need to use her service to do it and based on her reply we used someone else! read more

We had a very positive experience with this company up until we had to approve the layout of our granite countertops for our kitchen. I'm so thankful I took a picture of the slab we tagged to have for reference, because not once, but twice Eastern Surfaces tried to have us approve the layout on a slab that was not ours. After questioning this both times, they eventually admitted that our slab was "consumed" in another job, and then tried to pressure us to use a slab that they had on premises so we wouldn't lose our install date of 12/20/21. If we did choose to use one of their slabs, they were not able to tell us how we would be compensated for their error until after the job was complete. Even though we were counting on having a functioning kitchen so I could host Christmas Eve, we have cancelled our order and are looking elsewhere. Would not recommend. read more

I bought my service through Lowe's for the kitchen countertop. Lowes hired Eastern Surfaces, the installation service was the worst experience I have ever had. The man they sent had the worst attitude, quite a lack of respect. He left without doing the installation, I called him on the phone and he told me b .. shit .. and hung up on me. I called the office and tried to explain to Kim, the project manager, what happened and she told me that someone was going to call me, no one called me. They left all my plumbing disconnected, I had to pay a plumber to connect everything again. I have called the office several times but Kim does not answer me. Eastern Surfaces has the worst customer service ever. They only care about money and on top of everything you have to pay them again to come to complete the installation. What this company does with customers is an abuse, and the staff has a discriminatory attitude. I realized that the problem of the person who came to my house was when he saw that I was Hispanic. The techs at Eastern cracked our countertop twice during installation and when they came back to install the backsplash surround they cracked that too. I know stuff happens, but this second time the stone was inspected when it arrived onsite and it was fine. The installers installed it, cracked it in two places, didn't tell anyone onsite and just left. Who the heck does that? If you can find another business to do your install please do. read more

When we decided to replace our countertops, we found the material we wanted at Lowe's. We had no choice on the installer. Installation was fine (a few gaps) and lots of complaining about the drive back to the shop after they were done. In fact, the installer told my husband he could caulk he backsplash himself. When adding the new bracket for our existing dishwasher, the tech told my husband he "didn't have the correct piece" so he was going to use what he had. Because the plumbing could not be reconnected for a few days, we didn't realize that the dishwasher wouldn't close. I contacted Eastern Surfaces and was told they would "send it over to the scheduler". Because we had already been without a working kitchen for 4 days, I was hoping they would expedite the repair. About 4 hours later, I contacted them again and was told it would be another 4 days before they would be here to fix it. I told them that was totally unacceptable and hung up. After spending 30 minutes on hold with Lowe's (and never speaking with anyone at the local store), I called the toll-free number and finally spoke with someone. Because I refused to allow Eastern Surfaces into my home again, and after much discussion, it was agreed that the plumbers who were already here to reconnect everything could fix the bracket. They discovered the bracket was not only installed upside down, but a top bracket should never have been used. Would not recommend this company to anyone! Nor will I order any more jobs through Lowe's, although that's a review for another time. read more

On 11/17/2022 the company came to my house to install a granite countertop. After installation once the installer had left I noticed my dishwasher was no longer aligned with my cabinets and was tilted forward to the point where the tray would slide out when I open the door. Also, the granite was cracked above the dishwasher where screws had been put in. I called the company today to explain all this and was told that I would need to wait for someone to come out and fix it. I was not happy about the run around but was going to wait. I was then called back by Kim (the manager) who said fixing the dishwasher angle was "not in their scope of services" and no mention of the cracked granite. I sent pictures to Laura Malinowski who is my account rep. Kim was angry with me not being satisfied with the "throw their hands up and not fix what they broke" attitude and hung up on me. I have spent a couple thousand dollars on this countertop and bought all new appliances one of which has been misaligned by their shotty service. The installer put the sink in as he was supposed to and drilled a hole for the faucet without looking at the faucet and figuring out the angle and trajectory of the water so now rather than have the water hit the base of the sink in the middle it hits about a half inch from front which sprays water everywhere. I can't have another hole drilled in the granite, so now I must spend a couple hundred dollars on a new faucet. I have never been treated so poorly by their customer service. I have sent Laura a follow up email, but I am not receiving any response. Please help me! They now admit it's something that they have done incorrectly but will not repair what they have done, and I don't think I should need to buy a new faucet. Its not like I can take it back because it came as a set with the sink. read more

After scheduling fails, finally came to install vanity countertop. The backsplash did not fit, gave them faucets to use as templates and they left and only drilled 2 holes instead of the needed 3 holes for the faucets. and then, they almost pulled out of our driveway with one of the faucets. Plumber came to install faucets but had to leave because they had only drilled 2 holes! Then when they finally came back 2 weeks later to put on the backsplash they came 3 hours after the scheduled time frame. Total incompetence ! read more

Ordered countertops thru Home Depot in Phillipsbur, NJ who subcontracted it to eastern surfaces. Was told by home depot that it would take two weeks to measure and two weeks to install. Order was placed on 5/31/21 and will not be installed until 8/26/21. It took eastern surfaces four weeks before they measured and then radio silence. Eastern surfaces has no costumer service to speak of. It should not take THREE months for counter tops to be installed! Unless you have all the time in the world I would not go with them. Thank god we have our old countertops in place. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't have any counters, but eastern surfaces doesn't. Shop somewhere else! read more

My Wife and I purchased a quartz counter top for our kitchen through Home Depot. The counter was supplied and installed by Eastern Surfaces. We scheduled an appointment to verify the quartz that was to be used. It was exactly like the sample and what we expected. The staff at the site was very helpful. They sent out a representative to measure the kitchen. He was very thorough. The day of the install, the crew called to let us know the time of arrival. They were right on time. The installers worked together very well. They knew the job well. The slabs were cut precisely and allowed for professional results. I would recommend this business as a result of the people I spoke with and the results of their work. read more

Our granite counters look as good as the day they were installed 3 yrs. ago. The attention to design, match, workmanship, the polite and hard working team, I could not be a happier customer. I went through Lowe's, and wish I'd've discovered the savings, as they wanted $250.00 on top of the $2,000.00+ to install the sink under the counter, claiming the extra work and polishing, a friend advised me that is best, get it done. I'm waiting for a call to reschedule installation but no call received even though I was told I'd know today. When template made it was clearly marked and written in comments that "customer must ok seam placement before fabricating." They never did contact me even though I spoke with 2 people at different times. Came to install and I refused because of seam placement. Now have no choice but to take these counts IF they even come to install. I have a torn apart kitchen, no kitchen sink, and am caring for 90+ year old elderly parents. I purchased counter-tops through Home Depot, of Easton subcontracted by Eastern Surfaces. It has one of the worst experience of my life. I have been lied to, doubled talked and passive aggressively pushed away for weeks in trying to rectify. counters were ordered 28 June, install on Aug 3. company notified aug 4 of issues. two weeks later they sent a tech with silicon to "fix" the problem . still no plan of action and another week has passed without a functioning kitchen. the problem is a gap where the counter top was seamed together where the sink is and the gap created due to poor craftsman ship. the worst part was there is no reason for a seam where it was placed. just poor design . This company is self centered and has no concept of customer service. everyone blames blamed someone else in the company for mistakes. I have notify Home depot also and no one wants to fix the problems . So if you do not want to have a kitchen that works for several months . i suggest you go elsewhere. Eastern surfaces installed granite in our kitchen. The hole that was drilled for the hole looked off center. I reached out to Eastern Surfaces and they came back and inspected the problem. It turned out that my plumber had installed the faucet off center and the hole was drilled correctly. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Ordered ours through Home Depot, I had gone to several private companies because I was told dealing with the box stores and their contractors was terrible. Well Home Depot and Easter Surfaces had the product I liked best and the BEST price around! I had an issue with one of my pieces where the edge was not measured correctly so the overhang was almost non-existent. I told the installer, and he agreed with me and when signing the paperwork he told me to note it and to call Home Depot and they would put a ticket it. I did that, and about a week later ES called, I explained, they had another piece cut and the same installer came back to install. I am so happy with how it turned out! Now we are in the process of having the backsplash done! And the new piece was installed during COVID-19 and ES called and screened us to make sure it was safe for their employees to enter our home, you can tell when a company really cares about its customers and employees! read more

Avoid this company at all costs. We ordered a countertop through Lowe's on 12/13/17 and the job was subcontracted to Eastern Surfaces. As soon as Lowe's passed us off to them the service went downhill. First they never called to schedule our template, so I had to call Lowe's back to ask what was happening. When they finally scheduled the template and made it to our house it was more than a month later. Then the countertops arrived on 2/14/17. They were "installed" by just placing the pieces on our cabinets, They didn't attach them except for the island, so the slabs and backsplashes were all loose. At that time we also noticed very large arc shaped scratches all over the surface of the countertops. The installer came back and put the backplashes in place, but when we showed him the scratches he said that the countertops would need to be replaced so he did not attach them to the cabinets. He called Eastern and explained how badly the top was scratched but they did not believe him and sent a fabricator to our house to remove the scratches. The fabricator came out, was shocked by the sheer amount and size of the scratches and attempted to repair one of them before he gave up and said there were too many. Now not only do we have a very expensive counterop with scratches all over it, but we have a divet in the top from where he sanded one of them out. Then he took his own pictures and said he would explain that we needed new tops. I am now trying to get the company to do the right thing and replace the damaged pieces but they have not and still continue to question the damage that is on the tops, while taking our money. All of the installers, template people, and fabricators that have come to our home have been very nice and courteous; however, the company and the office at the main site have been very rude and unwilling to remedy their mistakes. read more

We had our granite countertops installed by Eastern-it was a great experience!! Installers were professional and did a great job!!

So far my experience has been horrible, they did not seal my countertop properly and it stained up pretty bad... When I reached out to them to fix it they could not work around my schedule and it took a full week for someone to come out to spend 5 min putting a stain remover on it... Well the stain didn't go anywhere so I call back and once again they can not work around my schedule and I wait another week.. They give me the 12-4 window and I get a call at 3 telling me they won't be here until 6 pm.. When I called to talk to a manager they say everyone is sorry but do absolutely nothing to resolve the situation... Hopefully after they fix the counter I never have to deal with them again. read more
