Then when they got to the office they told her they would not see her daughter because she isn't vaccinated. (Meanwhile she's only 2 weeks old so the only vaccine she hasn't received is hep b and vitamin k). Today we went to have our 2 month check up and they told us they wouldn't see her because there's an issue with my insurance. Thanks for the heads up! We were in the parking lot, and the only notification I got about the issue was a text saying "please call front desk regarding insurance issue" 2 days before the appointment. When I tried to call I was on hold for 29 minutes without ever speaking to anyone. So I hung up figuring we'd work it out at her appointment. Funny that they turned her away for not vaccinating and turned us away on vaccination day. Thanks for nothing scumbags. We are looking for a new office with doctors that care

They are very good at "triage" when I'm having a hard time processing whether or not something with our 4 kiddos is emergent enough, after hours, to seek emergency care or if it's something that can wait until the next morning. They are available all hours of the day and night & weekends. Once, Dr. Landers dropped off a nebulizer on his route home from work because we couldn't get one, at the time, from the pharmacy for our son's breathing treatments. Ms. April & Dr. Landers have helped us coordinate and manage care for our Autistic son. We have had many 1:1 discussions with him. They genuinely care & provide a high level of unparalleled expertise in Pediatrics!!!! I have never found Pointe Pediatrics to be pushy. They allow us to make decisions with their guidance for the care of our children.

The front office is very short with people. Dr. Pope is very dismissive. I referred my daughter there and she had the same experience with this office. I was placed on medication which needed the Dr. to fill out paperwork for my provider. That took 10 days and was eventually dropped because Dr. Pope said my insurance company wanted more medications tried. When I brought up that I had spoken with the insurance company and told them of issues I was having, they said they just needed Dr. verification and they could proceed. Dr. Pope said we would try a medication I had been on before which did not work and see how that goes. I have tried contacting Dr. Pope for the past 5 days to ask if I should increase the dosage on the medication because it is not working again. No response. I have now found a new Dr.

Wait time should improve as most of this data only needs to be entered on the first visit. This was my first appointment with Dr. Aquino. I was very impressed with his breadth of knowledge in both the medical field and in optimizing health. He was a very good listener and professional. I feel good about being under his care. I'm a bit of a health nut and have found that it is hard to find a doctor that is on the same wavelength regarding health in regards to nutrition and exercise. As you can see, I value my time but I value a good doctor more. Which is why I gave 4 stars overall.

On one occasion my wife had to leave before being seen. If you do make it in to meet the Dr., she rushes into the room then most of the time it seems she doesn't quite remember you or your child - no real personal touch. Our daughter had a fast heart rate at about 2-5 months and each time Dr. Catalan saw her she'd comment that her heart rate was a little fast and we'd have to refresh her memory. I recommend going to a smaller office with less clientele.

The staff has always been friendly beyond measure, thorough with their care, and have addressed my concerns with ease. They have been able to get me in on short notice when needed, and they've also been able to get my husband and I in for appointments together so that we don't have to make multiple trips (which is nice, given that we live in downtown Detroit, so it's a bit of a hike.) As a family practitioner, Dr. Baker has been able to catch and address many significant medical issues for both my husband and I-some of which we had not realized were even happening (hello, new onset cardiac arrhythmia...I do NOT like to see you on my EKG! Go. Away.) She likes to find out right away what the issues are and fix them before they get worse. Sending my scripts in right away to the pharmacy of my choice is always super fast too. If you want a good, smart and caring doctor then you should ask for Dr. Erin Baker. She never makes you embarrassed of anything either. This facility is completely remodeled this year so it's even nicer than before. This has always been a clean facility i personally have never had a issue.
