We've mentioned this to the owner and her mother three times and nothing has been done about it. Rotating employee doors! Every three weeks some new young kid is a "teacher." Caught one of the kid teachers asleep at 7:30AM in the kids room while she was supposed to be watching the kids‼ Went down the street to another daycare and we were told by two parents there their kids came from kwg daycare and they, too, didn't have great experiences there. The owner there now has six of kwg kids enrolled. Had we known this we would've Never taken our baby there! A lot of business classes and childcare classes need to be taken by every person working here!!

This review is for the swimming pool only…read more This was my first time at the WISC and I was darn impressed with the amount of activities offered. I had no idea this was tucked back in this area by Lafayette H.S. The setting is pretty and back in the woods. Parking is plentiful, you just may have to walk. Specifically for the pool is very limited in the rear. For officials and coaches they have a designated lot not far. Spectator parking is in front of the main building unless you get lucky. The pool is in the rear of the main building. I believe it's only a few years old, possibly built in 2017. It does not look like much from the front, but don't let that fool you. Locker rooms are up front. The lobby area is very small for congregating before and after meets. The pool itself is a 10 lane short course. In order to conduct warm-up/cools down during a meet a lane, or two is closed running the heats at either 8, or 9 lanes. There is a small baby pool up front. The deck is decent size and has bleacher area for athletes and limited spectator bleachers. Fold up chairs are permitted. Around six garage doors are around each side of the structure to improve air quality of the temperatures are conducive. The two day meet hosted by 757 Swim was in January. Garage doors overall were closed with a few at the start area up a quarter to improve air quality. Needless to say with cooler temps it was chilly for the athletes when waiting for their events. The meet hosting was fantastic by 757 and timelines were mostly hit by the officials crew. Upon first entering the pool area I was struck with a heavy chlorine smell and my eyes began to burn. Well duh... pools are chlorinated but this was heavy. I'm around pools everyday, so I know the challenges of pool air quality. Both days were consistently the same on poor air. My athlete had a cough and sore throat a day after the meet. This to me is dangerous over a long period of time. Two days is not a long period. Splashes also add to the churning up of chlorine thrown up in the air. It was a large meet with lots of splashes and my older swimmer was second session. Possible HVAC issue on my visit? I can't really say other than friends said it's been better. If your interested in all that's available at WISC check their website, or read other reviews here on yelp. If swimming is your thing then consider a membership to the pool. It is an amazing complex with incredible offerings. If for not the issues with air I'm at a 4, but with air quality challenged a 3 fits them best.

We were on the first floor with a renovated room with 2 of the most comfortable queen sized beds and pillows I have ever slept on. I even took a nap I was so happy with those mattresses. The beds are a bit high so if you are short or have trouble walking you may have difficulty getting in and out of the bed. It was not a problem for me. The rooms are complete with all the basics sans TV or fridge. There is no room/maid services offered. The adjacent meeting room is small. We had 18 people crammed into this room for the weekend. The kitchenette is extremely small with a dorm sized fridge. This would not be a problem if the rooms had even a tiny fridge. They provide bags of ice for $5 which one of the employees brings from the kitchen. The air conditioner blows very cold air intermittently. I just kept a sweater I took off and put on. They offer meals options and Kai, a young chef, is very talented at cooking food for a group. The pot roast and mashed potatoes and gravy was fabulous. All the meals were well prepared and buffet style. I was not shy about helping myself and there was plenty for everyone. The grounds are very natural and easy to walk. The road to the retreat center is easily navigated but some distance from any kind of restaurants and there is no delivery service from the closest restaurants. I brought my own drinks and snacks but some people didn't and spent too much time trying to get pizza delivery. The staff I interacted with peripherally seemed very kind and helpful. The environment was clean well maintained. It is a Christian retreat center but was comfortable whatever your spiritual orientation.

My children are students at a local high school and I love that they get to use the stadium for…read moretheir football games the most recent game we attended was their homecoming there was more than enough room in the parking lot and the bleachers to fit everyone the homecoming game is a bigger than normal game and also included the marching band but we had no issues fitting everyone on the field The homecoming court was able to walk along the track as well they offer concessions here which are Chick-fil-A and barbecue sandwiches as well as hotdogs chips and snacks they are decent priced at about four dollars a sandwich and are relatively warm there are a few shady spots that you can find but overall I recommend you bring an umbrella for the shade the announcer is loud and clearly heard And the scoreboard displays the score very well I have also attended track events here and the students seem to prefer this track to others they also have done the graduation of 2020 here Which was an odd experience due to Covid however there was enough space that everybody was able to stay separate in their cars and still see their children walk across the stage this is a beautiful stadium and I am very lucky that we have the ability to use it

However, there is no cover for the sun or rain...which proved to be a problem this weekend (very hot weather 1 minute and thunderstorming the next). The admission was $10 per person with NO re-entry...which was actually very inconvenient. They ripped off half the ticket when we went in...so we still had half the ticket...so they could've let us do reentry--especially considering how long the event is. Otherwise, the stadium was clean and well-kept . They also had 1 snack/concession stand. We didn't get anything from there, though. They had actual bathrooms instead of the porta-pottys. However, they weren't that clean...as expected for any stadium bathroom.

I only have two regrets about WISC:…read more 1) I wish we discovered it four days earlier on our trip to Williamsburg. 2) I wish we had a place like this close to home. We were looking for batting cages to practice for the upcoming Little League season and boy did we hit the motherlode. Not only does this facility have five outside self-pitch batting cages, but it has at least an equal number of impeccable baseball fields with nice scoreboards, dugouts and bleachers. I would say they are at least AA-level, maybe AAA-level sized fields. There is also four fields that look like they are probably used for A ball. In addition, it looked like there were a similar number of soccer fields plus several basketball courts. All of these were incredibly maintained. And this is just the outdoor facilities. Indoor are more soccer and baseball practice facilities, daycare and fitness facilities. We used the outdoor fields for free. Based on the website, there is no initiation fee and monthly dues are $75 for a family of four. A great bargain. We did not use the indoor facilities, but they looked great and were equally well-maintained.

The facilities are clean and they have many different rental options available. I planned a womens getaway for no reason other than to just get away. No kids. No men. No schedule. It was awesome! Camp Idlewild was the perfect destination. Inexpensive and AWESOME! Laying out in the field to star gaze in the middle of the night is my favorite. You can't get that view in Hampton Roads for sure! If you are looking for a place to hold a retreat of any kind, or just a day event, this is the place!
