Because there were no photos or detailed descriptions of the event spaces, I stopped by in person to understand what would be possible. The front desk staff was kind and showed me around, and I found a room that felt like a great fit for a welcome gathering for the growing Working Families Party in Virginia. I submitted my request in late December. I expected things to move slowly because of the holidays, but when I hadn't heard back by January 5, I called to follow up. I was told my application had been received, everything looked good, and I received verbal confirmation that we could host the event pending one final approval. I followed up by email to confirm details and waited. After six days with no response, I followed up again by email. Two days later, I called and learned the Sales & Event Coordinator was out due to medical issues. That is completely understandable. However, since final approval was supposedly with someone above her, I didn't understand why no one else could give clarity. I even offered to share my contact information with the events director or whoever was responsible for final approval. Two days later, on a Friday afternoon, I received a call letting me know the event was not approved due to its political affiliation. I understand that not every organization allows political gatherings. What's frustrating is that this wasn't communicated upfront or handled quickly. Instead, I spent 21 days waiting for confirmation, only to be denied three weeks before my event, leaving me scrambling to find a new location for a Sunday afternoon gathering. If political events aren't allowed, that should be clearly stated on the website or addressed early in the review process. A simple, transparent policy would have saved me a lot of time and stress.

I do wish they made it brighter or used brighter balls, but, overall, it was a great time. The staff and the other players were all very nice and welcoming throughout all of the games. The center itself looks really nice. Plenty of work out equipment, and the pool area looks like a blast. More like a waterpark! The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful thoughout our visit. The locker rooms are really nice, too. Very spacious center that seems to offer a lot for everyone. In the area? (Today is 4th of July) I talked on the phone yesterday with some lady(A) asking about the policy to visit and she was very kind and nice so I decided to visit today with my friends. I wanted to make sure if they take cards or cash only so I called a head on the way. The lady(B) said, there's no such a thing as one time visit and it works ONLY IF you're willing to buy a ticket for the summer($300~) with her bad attitude. She was telling me there's rules that I have to learn and have a tour with her before I use the pool. They didn't have all that training/ learning rules last year and I specifically asked the lady(A) from yesterday about that if I can still visit even though I visited once last year and she said "YES". So I asked the lady(B) why are you saying something differently than the lady(A). She said.."ah...cus we're different people?" I asked "is it crowded right now?" "Yes. We're having a party right now" "Would you say more than 30 ppl around?"(I wasn't gonna go if that was the case) "Can't even count" "Ok" That was our conversation on the phone and I already arrived at the pool by then so I wanted to check it out from outside since I'm already there if it's too crowded. There were about 15 people hanging on the chairs. I guess she didn't count how many people have entered. Look..this is definitely a neighborhood business. I live 5 minuets away from the pool. How can you assume that I won't be your future member? It's your choice if you wanna support this local business, go ahead but we aren't coming back. I hope the owner take this as a lesson and train THE employee to serve people with good customer service. She(B) wasn't professional or had any manners.

I only took a quick peek inside. Mostly just a large basketball/volleyball court and some racket…read moreball courts. Our time is just spent at the pool. $4 let's you swim all day. $3 for the kids. Life guards on duty, a slide that empty into 12 feet of water and a decent area to do laps. Lockers in the bathroom that you can lock if you bring your own lock and just a overpriced vending machine for refreshments. There's also sand volleyball and 3 tennis courts out back.
