[[HIGHLIGHT]]I arrived for what I believed was a routine crown fitting appointment. Once seated, I was informed that I would need to be numbed and receive an injection before the fitting. This was never communicated to me beforehand.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I expressed surprise, the hygienist explained that decay needed to be removed before the new crown could be fitted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I responded that I strongly dislike numbing medication because it makes me nauseous and said, "I hate the numbing medication."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Shortly afterward, the hygienist left the room. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dentist then returned and informed me that they would no longer have me as a patient because I had allegedly used profanity toward his staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]At no point was my comment directed at the hygienist or any staff member. I was expressing frustration about the medication itself. If my language was a concern, a simple request to avoid profanity would have resolved the issue immediately.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Instead, I was dismissed as a patient based on what appears to have been a misunderstanding. I found the situation unprofessional and disappointing, especially as a new patient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Better communication regarding treatment expectations and a more reasonable approach to patient concerns would have gone a long way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice. read more

I love this place! Starting with making the appointment, Desirae was so helpful and pleasant. She checked my insurance and called me back to say that I was covered! When I got to my appointment I was greeted by Casey who gave me a gift! It is a great water bottle. Then I was examined and treated by Fabiola who is amazing. even though I needed a deep cleaning, she made sure I was ok all the way through. Doctor Huynh also came in and he is so nice. I've been amazed with the dental staff and procedures. They have an amazing process in place for new patients to make you feel appreciated. The doctor is clear and precise. Best of all they manufacture their own crowns on site and I was able to get a rellace in about 2 hours. I got a card in the mail after the first appointment. They reward you for your referrals. They even have a 5 year warranty on their crowns. They're really easy to get to on McKellips between Gilbert and Stapley across from the Outback. read more

Let me begin by saying I do not like going to any dentist. I've let my teeth go for over a decade without treatment or follow ups because I just simply don't like dentists. With that being said, my crown fell out and I had no choice but to see a dentist. I found Dr Huynh at Eastport Dental through my insurance website. I made an appointment and what turned out to be a painful goodbye to my rotting tooth became a beautiful dental patient relationship. I am amazed by the follow through and caring of their patients at this office. If I have a procedure done, Dr Huynh invites me back for a post op and takes the time to just ask how your feeling and if he can do anything to ease your discomfort, if any. He's very thorough, kind and gentle. Again, I say I don't like dentists but I have found a new love and respect for my current dentist. I look forward to my visits. The staff is warm and kind and make you feel at ease. The office is very clean and efficient. I can't say enough great things about Eastport Dental. I have been a patient here for approximately 2 years, but not sure why. This office does not provide any emergency dental services for established patients after hours or on the weekends. They are also not helpful for same day emergencies. I called this morning at 7am with a dental emergency & they were unable to fit me into the schedule on a Friday right before the weekend. I I have had several different issues with this office that were poorly handled; from lack of communication to improper & ineffective treatment. I have decided to transfer care. read more
