I have been visiting Tru-Value for some years now and am always so impressed with their level of service, value, and friendliness. I just had two zirconia crowns done for an unbelievable price and continue to refer anyone and everyone who mentions dental to me to this center. I have dental insurance but it is an HMO plan and I choose to pay out of pocket at Tru-Value because it is less costly and the service is superior. The owners Richard & Diana Khalife are wonderful caring people who do their practice to help people and not to get rich. Dr. Steve and all the staff are first rate. We've been looking for a family dentist since moving to Mesa. For my 7-year-old daughter, who hadn't had the best experience at a previous dentist practice, this was an incredible experience. To keep her interested, this office was great at conversing with her and guiding her through each cleaning step swiftly. After quickly peering inside her tiny mouth, Doctor Steve quickly determined that there might be a cavity problem. All in all, the service was family-friendly and professional. I had a fantastic experience here. They were able to fit me in the same day for an urgent issue, which I truly appreciated. Dr. Burns quickly identified the problem and took the time to explain everything clearly and in a way that was easy to understand. The receptionist was also incredibly helpful--she even called the referral office on my behalf to ensure I could secure an appointment, especially since I had trouble reaching them myself. Dr. Nguyen and his staff (both dental and office) are very nice. I am not a DDS myself, but I can attest that Dr. Nguyen has always done his work well, and quickly. By "well," I mean that he does appear to take his work seriously, and does it professionally. For example, I had a tough-to-handle filling that another DDS took care of, but after it broke (while flossing; imagine that), Dr. Nguyen fixed it, and I had a better time flossing the same tooth after that. Typically, I dread dental visits, but both of my appointments here have been as enjoyable as a dental appointment can possibly be. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and my appointments were conducted promptly. The first visit took a bit longer due to x-rays and the initial examination, but the cleaning was performed efficiently without causing me to miss much work. I had a crown put in, a cavity filled, and had a deep cleaning done on my teeth. The work that was done was much less painful that my previous dental treatment. The doctor and all of the staff were courteous and friendly. All of my treatment was performed right on schedule.
