They teach little kids reading and math, but most importantly, how to make friends with each other and be kind and supportive to each others, which in my perspective, is one of the most important values I would teach my children as well. The manager, Ms. Julie, is super responsive and flexible to accommodate our family need. For example, the school provide spring/summer camps, Chinese classes, PE, keyboard, dance classes you can sign your kids up. We were living in Seattle and ideally wanted to send our toddler to a Chinese immersion Montessori school since my husband and I both work remotely and didn't want English to be the main language our kiddo was exposed to 24/7 but were open to all options; but we cared most about quality clean environment, teaching methodology, and good teachers/childcare professionals. We were so impressed by Shamrock we decided to move to Bellevue and send our toddler son there. He has been attending the Shamrock toddler class since he was 17 months old starting Sept 2025. He LOVES WenTing and Tandra who are his teachers and we can tell bc he runs into the class everyday, says how much he loves Tandra and WenTing, and talks about school to us at home. Despite our concerns it only took him one week to fully adjust and since attending he has not been sent home sick once!!! Anecdotal evidence of just how clean and how seriously they take sanitation practices at their school. Shamrock is truly a shamrock of schools - unique, special, and a loving environment for the kids. No school is perfect, but to me, I feel that Shamrock does a better job of educating my daughter than I could at home, and I trust the school 100%. Any time we have concerns, we have been able to discuss and resolve them with the school, and the teachers and administrators are open to feedback and constantly improving. This to me is more important than being "perfect" or "the best". The school and staff show a humility and love that is rare in daycare and early school settings. I also want to emphasize that Shamrock is a true Montessori school. Montessori is trendy now, and there are many schools claiming to be Montessori. I am familiar with Montessori as I practice at home. A true Montessori school doesn't just have the appropriate materials and work - it must be Montessori in spirit. Teachers must respect the individuality and progress of each child, and accept them for who they are, where they are, all while guiding them to improve and learn. I believe Shamrock does all of this, and I see it in my daughter. I am sending my younger daughter there in the fall. Our son is in the 'Dippers' class, and his teacher, Ms. Melissa and assistant teacher, Ms. Bella, are amazing. There are stations setup each morning with age appropriate and engaging activities (water play, sand play, Mr. Potato Head, etc.) which our son loves! There's music class every Monday and Thursday, an amazing outdoor play space on acreage, and nutritious, diverse meals served. Emotionally - Ms. Melissa and the staff helped reinforce preparing our son for the arrival of his baby brother by talking about being a 'big brother' and reinforcing our son's role in our family. It made the transition of bringing baby home more exciting than nerve racking. Above and beyond a typical school experience in my opinion. Operationally - SCS also has many less closure days than some of the schools my friends kiddos go to in the area, so much more predictable for work schedules. It did take us a little over 7-months to get off the wait list, but Ms. Kelly (assistant director) was awesome at helping us plan for a reasonable date to possibly join. I cannot say enough positive things about this school, the faculty, the activities, the food, and overall experience. Our daughter (almost 2 y/o) has been at The Rainbow School for three months and we have been…read morethrilled with our experience. She is known to and clearly loved by all the teachers, not just those in charge of her own class (orange). When she arrives in the morning, teachers passing by in the hall greet her by name and she smiles and runs to hug them. When she leaves in the afternoon, she waves goodbye to everyone she sees. At home she talks constantly about her friends and teachers, sings songs and shares new concepts she learned there, and is always excited to go back. The teachers are also understanding and accommodating. For example, the lead teacher for our daughter's class (who knows all the parents, kids, and their siblings by name) is preparing to leave the school but ensured 1-2 months of overlap with her successor so the kids have lots of time to bond with the new lead teacher and have a smooth transition. She has also been supportive as we explored the idea of potty training (even though that's something they usually focus on more in the next class up). It was important to us to find a place that had some light curriculum but emphasized the importance of play and socialization over just teaching, and we found that in The Rainbow School. Plus, the value can't be beat. Parents who have toured other big centers in the area will notice that the menu is simple, "kid-friendly" food rather than the organic menus offered at some other big centers, which may not work for everyone. But at the end of the day our kiddo is eating and sleeping, she is learning and playing, and she is very well loved. For these reasons, we feel we have found somewhere pretty special.

If you have to take your kids to a school, and you want to know that they are cared for and loved. Having a good time and thriving as best they can outside of being with their family.
