My wife went in for a root canal and Dr. Buckley completely failed at the job. He went so far up…read morethe canal that he hit her jaw bone and caused the tooth to be damaged and not be saved. He had my wife go to a specialist and this is where we were told that he messed up her tooth. We called back to speak with the Dentist and he was very defensive and even laughed at us on the phone. What an unprofessional person. He tried to blame my wife for not following through on her end but it was the office staff that took their time to send the needed notes and x-rays to the next dentist so my wife had to wait a month to see someone else. Well how she has just got her 3rd opinion and they all agree that Dentist Buckley caused an issue with messing up the root canal and the tooth has to come out. He does not want to get off his high horse and humble himself to admit that he was wrong and made a mistake. My family or myself will never go to this very unprofessional place again. Ever since they moved into their new building they changed and the old way to taking care of their patients is gone. If I was you I would stay far away from this place. Again we have had 3 opinions from 3 different Dentists to confirm he messed up. It is sad that he just cannot apologize and try to fix the situation. Shows how unprofessional he really is.

From the owner: Dental Implants - Dental implants are small anchors made of a biocompatible metal called titanium…read morethat are placed in the jawbone. Dental implants are the replacement of tooth roots in the mouth. Once placed, the anchors begin to fuse with the bone over the course of a few months. After the fusing process, known as osseointegration, abutment posts are inserted into the anchors to allow for the permanent attachment of the replacement teeth. Teeth in a Day - Teeth in a Day can be an excellent option for patients who are missing several or all of their teeth. By using multiple implants, a strong support can be created to anchor the full arch or bridge prosthesis. For many patients, a custom acrylic full arch can be placed the same day as the implant placement surgery, allowing the patient to leave the office on the day of surgery with a complete arch replacement. After a healing period of at least 3 months, the temporary restoration can be removed and replaced with the final porcelain restoration. Cosmetic Whitening - Kor Whitening offers a full line of whitening systems that offer longer lasting, superior whitening with less sensitivity. The wide range of systems provides patients with the ability to customize their whitening treatment to provide a comfortable and easy to use process that yields maximum whitening results. Speak with your doctor about how Kor Whitening can help brighten your smile!

This place sets an example for the rest of the medical industry. If you're tired of corporate…read morebullshit "healthcare," go here. This is a true family practice, run by the doctor and his wife. Dr. DeSantis cares more about the patient outcome and experience than he does about the bottom line. He works for himself, not for a profit-driven corporation that will still try to upsell you when your teeth are falling out and all your credit cards are maxed out. I came here as a last resort after having my mouth ruined at a corporate dentist's office. I had two baby canines, which my former dentist pulled and fitted with temporary bridges...which proceeded to fall off six times in a month (which is great if you want to lose weight, since I couldn't eat properly). I ended up enduring at least two weeks with four tiny peg teeth on each side. Thank god I work remotely. See my review for 1st Advantage Dental for the gory details. Enter East Greenbush Dental. I sent them a (probably) panicked, overdramatic email explaining my dire situation. They agreed to see me last minute even though I was a new patient. Dr. DeSantis checked out my tiny stub teeth and did some 3-D x-rays, and then proceeded to build from thin air a set of temporary bridges that lasted not 3 days, but over two months. Early this week, he put in the permanent bridges and they are perfect. I'm not afraid that my teeth are permanently damaged or that these bridges are going to fall out in 3 weeks. I know that this doctor knows what he's doing and actually cares about the outcome. Dr. DeSantis will explain everything and he takes his time. You won't see the doctor for only 30 seconds (or not at all) like at ordinary practices. He has a varied background that includes some programming and graphic design so if you're lucky, he will be able to whip some teeth out of the ether and into the 3-D printer like he did for me. He's also funny, and has a bit of a Beastie Boy vibe (if you're not an elder Millennial or baby Gen X, that statement won't make any sense, so just don't worry about it). I'll be a patient here until they either fire me or the doctor retires.

Realize that Aspen Dental is a huge dental company that operates in 33 states with over 500…read morefranchises. A CEO oversees the entire operation. Upon first visit to Aspen Dental it's pretty obvious these guys exist to milk as much money as they can from both your insurance company and your personal pocket. First, they will not do x-rays and a cleaning in the same appointment for first time patients. This means you will waste almost an hour on the first visit just to get X-rays. You will have to come back for a cleaning. Why? Aspen Dental states that they must determine if you need a "regular" cleaning or a "deep" cleaning. Most insurances cover regular cleanings, but will not cover deep cleanings. You pay extra, out of pocket for deep cleanings. If you want to learn more about deep cleanings, google search more info on deep cleanings to see how they've become a cash grab at questionable dental practices. Secondly, the way the visit is arranged, you can easily tell that Aspen Dental is interested in making the most money from your dental experience. After your meeting with the doctor, you wait again to talk to a "billing specialist". Not the receptionist...a billing specialist. The specialist is there to outline all the work they recommend you need done, and tell you of all the additional costs that exist that your insurance will not pay for. Deep cleaning. Extra. Fluoride treatment. Extra. If they recommend any major work, don't worry they finance, so you don't have to pay all at once. That should be a major, major red flag right there. Finally, I encourage you to google Aspen Dental and class action lawsuits. The New York Attorney General has gone after them and settled in 2015. Frontline did an expose on them in 2012. The Pennsylvania Attorney General's office settled with them in 2010. They're all over, so they are easy to access, however I highly, highly recommend finding a local dentist who will care about you, your teeth, your well being and not just your dollars.

I spoke to an Aspen employee and the scheduled me for this location as an option with same- day availability. This location is about 20 mins from me so I had already left when they called and cancelled it saying it was cancelled because of a lack of information as they were unsure about payment and reason. I had discussed all of this in detail with the call center so I am not sure what happened. They said that even after providing all of this information again, they would not keep this appointment it was "double booked" and I can't be seen for 6 days. Or, I could call enough location directly. This was unacceptable, and showed a complete lack of professionalism, and accountability. I recommend you stay away at all costs.

Arriving early seemed like a mistake. They assured me they usually run on time when I confirmed my latest appointment. I checked because I need to take time off from work to make the appointment and I can't just continue to delay indefinitely waiting for them to be ready. Ok, I thought maybe my previous experience was the outlier and they were just slow that day. Nope. I arrived and was told my wait would be an hour for what I assumed was another fast cleaning. I rescheduled on the spot, but found a new dentist in the meantime. Enough with these people not respecting the patients' time. There are plenty of other offices that run on time and have the decency to apologize for being behind and make it a point to try not to do that regularly. Note that discussing these issues with my insurance company led to them approving me to go to a different dentist that was otherwise not included in my plan coverage.
