I found Thomas via Groupon, and went to him for a horrible back strain. I'd tried rounds and rounds of physical therapy and different chiropractors and nothing worked until I found Thomas. I have been a frequent patient of Thomas for over a year and a half, and I can honestly say, he has changed my life. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, I went into years of feeling out of balance. I was constantly moving through intense physical and emotional swings, dealing with increased anxiety, insomnia, inflammation, and feeling overall defeated by my condition and all of the physical and emotional ailments that come with it. I finally decided to give acupuncture a try after being prescribed intense medications for my insomnia/fatigue/anxiety/on top of medications for my condition. I'm generally skeptical of excessive prescription medication, and try to treat my body with whole foods and rest, but I was loosing the battle and was on my very last straw. I took some time off work, purchased a Groupon for three acupuncture sessions, and gave it a go with little hope of what I thought to be a woo-woo alternative treatment hoping to make a dent in my symptoms. After one session, I could already feel a difference in my mental and cognitive state. One week and three sessions later, I was sleeping through the night, feeling rested, energetic, and creative, and had the energy to exercise regularly and cook myself whole nourishing meals. I was feeling present and in my body again, my life started to return to normal, and I felt in control. Needless to say, I didn't need to take the pharmaceutical drugs. I now see Thomas consistently for everything from allergies, shoulder pain, energy levels, nutrition advice, inflammation, motivation, and just to keep myself in balance. I can't describe what it means to feel as though I have my life back. His clinic is quite literally a god-send, and I am so grateful to have Thomas in my life. I was recently diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. The doctors told me to wait it out, but I wanted (and needed) to find a remedy quickly for my own well-being. After searching the internet, I came across acupuncture as a possible solution. Thanks to LivingSocial, I purchased a 3 visit deal for this clinic. It was my first time, but Thomas Cobb eased all of my fears and explained everything so thoroughly. The first time, I could not feel anything but the day after treatment, my eyebrow started to voluntarily move. The day after my second visit, my face started to relax and both eyebrows started voluntarily moving. The day after the third and final visit, my mouth started to relax and it is able to twitch. Not close to a smile at all, but at least I can feel progress. Take that, Western Doctors! On top of the treatments, Thomas suggested trying Chinese herbs so I purchased a premade concoction and am still taking it three times a day. I so wish that the clinic was closer, but my first acupuncture experience is definitely a positive one and I am very happy that Thomas Cobb was able to help jump start the healing process. Groupon review! First timer with acupuncture. I was honest and received great feedback and advice from the owner. I had amazing results from one treatment. 4 stars except one because of this little detail. I was parked at a meter and told the owner I'd like to be out by "x" time due to the meter which would cut the appt about 20 short. I didn't mind because I didn't want a ticket! The owner said "Of course, no problem!" Well, it felt like years in that dark room and I was so bored! However, I trusted him and just stayed put. When he finally came to get me he had ran HALF AN HOUR past the original appt. I was so annoyed. Then he lost a needle in my hair and told me not to worry. I freaked out thinking I was going to push this needle into my skull! However, that didn't happen lol but I did think it was unprofessional of him to not count the needles and realize one was missing! I got to my meter 10 min before 6pm! And as you know after 6pm it's free parking. LUCKILY I had no ticket! I just felt it was ridiculous to forget that I wanted to leave early and then run half an hour past. I guess extra time wouldn't hurt for someone who had the time to spare but it annoyed me. The biggest piece of advice that I hope he sees from this review is to count the needles! Have a paper cup in the room that after each needle you "uncap" (or whatever it is) you put it in the cup. Then when you come to remove the needles you are accountable for each one! Kinda like how they have to count each material/item used in surgery. That way they don't leave an instrument inside a body and sew them up. Lol Overall, he's great!!! I don't have insurance or else I'd be back! I'd recommend him to friends/family. read more

The atmosphere is very intimate unlike a clinic or a larder private practice. The intake form was insanely specific but all multiple choice. I've been suffering from neck pain for some time now. Due to the reviews, I wanted to try Left Coast Acupuncture. I was very impressed with Thomas's aggressive treatment. Thomas was very thorough and professional. I've seen multiple acupuncturists in the past, and Thomas is the top in his field. Thomas checked pressure points before administering acupuncture, to see which points would have the most affect on my problem areas. He was the first acupuncturist that I've experienced doing this, but after having it done, I don't understand why all acupuncturists wouldn't use this technique to get the best results possible for their patients. There were other noticeable techniques that Tomas used, which unfortunately the prior acupunturists I've seen in the past either didn't use or didn't know of. There is a difference between acupuncturists who do the bare minimum and those who go all out to try to heal their patient. None of us want to drag our healing process out longer by the bare minimum of 2 needles, heat, and see you next week. I've experienced the bare minimum, but I've also had several very good acupuncturists in the past. We all deserve better, we all desirve the best. If your looking on yelp to find an acupuncturist, I suggest you check to see if the acupuncturist has plenty of good written reviews showing their treatment as being thorough and aggressive if possible. I highly recommend seeing Thomas and suggest that if you are sceptical at receiving acupuncture or seeing a new acupuncturist, try the discounts on Living Social or Groupon for first time customers, they are unbelievable deals! read more

I can not thank Thomas Cobb enough for how much he has helped me. I decided to give acupuncture a try when I could not find a solution for my horrible neck pain. I have numerous horseback riding injuries and scoliosis. I have been seeing an A.R.T. specialist for 8 years for these problems but in that last year year my neck was just getting worse. It got to the point where I was getting horrible migraines and greatly decreased mobility. It was making me miserable. After ONE visit, my neck pain was GONE. I could not believe it. My review is way overdue. I love this place! I have 6 bulging discs and 2 are torn. I often get acute flare ups in my neck and I can barely sit still without pain. Thomas is always able to drop that pain by at least 80% sometimes more. This is huge for me and quality of day to day life. If you are on the fence about this, try it once. I didn't believe that this could or would work, but it's kind of a miracle cure for me. It's amazing knowing you have someone to go to when you're at your worst and you can get actual results. I'm incredibly happy to write this review for Left Coast Acupuncture and for Thomas, particularly for labor induction. I was 6 days overdue and worried about having a medically induced labor. We had tried various 'at home' methods to get things going, but nothing seemed to work effectively. I had heard of acupuncture as another alternative option and was able to schedule a same-day appointment with Thomas. He gave me confidence that he had experience doing this type of treatment in the past and explained the different points he would stimulate. The session was peaceful and comfortable, and he came in halfway through to move the needles around. 7 hours later, I went into labor with contractions close together and things progressed quickly and had my baby later that morning. I know that many women get desperate towards the end and resort to a lot of alternative options. It may not work for all, but I found that getting acupuncture was the trick that did it for me!
