New to Boise and my sinuses were screaming "what happened". I had 2 rounds of antibiotics and it just wasn't helping so I called this acupuncturist. He worked me over about 1.5 hours with facial/head massages, heat and acupuncture. As soon as I sat up I had so much phlegm to release, I know it's nasty and that was the end of my sinus issue. For now anyways. He's great! They got me in quickly, take insurance and I will choose his service before going to traditional doctors. read more

I visited Dr Wang a few years ago after I visited a chiropractor that flared my low back up. I was visiting from Portland and was able to get an appointment quickly and most importantly Dr. Wang was able to reduce my pain in half immediately after my first appointment. The next day my pain was completely gone. I was in school for acupuncture at the time I visited him and really appreciated how clean, organized and professional his practice is. It was inspiring. Dr. Wang works miracles. My 24 year old son came down with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome (shingles infection affecting the facial nerve near one of your ears). It resulted in severe facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected left ear. Our Ear Nose and Throat specialist said there was nothing my son could do to regain facial movement, it was basically a wait and see situation with little hope. Physical Therapy was not an option. My son looked as though he had suffered a severe stroke. We had to tape his eye closed at night, he had to cover his eye in the shower, he wore an eye patch during the day. After 5 1/2 weeks with absolutely no improvement, we found Dr. Wang. Dr. Wang was honest. He said he could help, but it may take some time, especially having let 5 1/2 weeks pass with absolutely no facial nerve stimulation. He was aggressive in the treatment approach, 3 times a week for the first three weeks, then two times a week (for the past 3 weeks). With heat therapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture, my son can now shut his eye, he has movement on his left eyebrow, and lower left lip movement. What was a hopeless case, is now hopeful and promising. Dr. Wang has offered nothing but professionalism. I appreciate his caring attitude and bedside manner. Our insurance company does not cover this treatment, but the amount spent is little in comparison to the results we have experienced. I would highly recommend Wang Medical. I had my first visit today, and my first acupuncture ever. I tried a chiropractor to solve my issue, when that didn't work I figured I would give acupuncture a shot. They were very personable and accommodating, very professional, Dr. Wang told me what to expect as we went, and the visit exceeded my expectations. In fact, I already scheduled a 2nd appointment for next week. I had a trigger finger and tried several remedies....first PT, then cortisone, and finally acupuncture. There was no change after the first two remedies. Have had bilateral hip pain for over a year. Tried massage therapy, physical therapy, MD, with only short term relief. Dr Wang took away my constant pain in six visits. Most insurances do not pay for acupuncture, but it was money well spent. The treatments takes about an hour and it cost about 120.00 a visit. This is one of the creepiest places I've ever been in my life. When I called they said they took Blue Cross insurance and just be sure to bring my card with me. When I got there they said they don't accept Blue Cross at all, even tho they are listed as a preferred provider. I even called Blue Cross while I was waiting to verify and sure enough, they are supposed to be a preferred provider. Why would I pay $100 cash per session instead of a $25 co pay? The lady that comes out of the front office is very rude and creepy. I would NOT recommend this place at all. read more

My husband was seen by Dr. Wang this last week. He has been in search of relief from a chronic painful condition in his hip for ever so long, and has not wanted to take pain medications as these would not have altered the cause of the pain, just the experience of it. We had to travel a fairly long distance to see Dr. Wang, and after my husband's first treatment, we stayed over so that my husband could receive another treatment the following morning. We then had to make that long drive home. Even with being constrained in an automobile for several hours, my husband felt better and has continued to improve since our return home. We are very grateful to a mutual friend for recommending Dr. Wang. He is a very skilled and compassionate medical professional. His medical assistant at the front desk is courteous and helpful, too. We highly recommend Wang Medical, Inc. to anyone and everyone who may be experiencing any degree of pain or discomfort.
