Their receptionist is amazing, even if you haven't seen the Docs for months, she remembers you. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've trusted my newborn in his care shortly after a difficult birth and now he is treating my daughter for rib pain. The staff and the doctors make you feel comfortable, whatever your age may be. Patients beware. First, all the people I met at Idaho Chiropractic were really nice...except for the accounting clerk. I didn't get any relief at all from my treatments but sometimes that happens. What patients need to be aware of is the value and ROI. I saw these guys a couple of times. And they hounded me to collect over $270 out of pocket...after they billed my insurance. So, I paid $270+ for a couple of visits with no benefit to me at all. In the meantime, I had two MRIs, five sets of X-rays, visited my orthopedic surgeon twice, visited my primary care physician twice, had three out patient surgeries, had four sets of blood work and saw a physical therapist at Foothills Physical Therapy 11 times. And all I paid out of pocket for all this other medical care was my $200 deductible. So, I paid more for a couple of visits to Idaho Chiropractic than I did for all the rest of my medical care for the entire year. Yikes. That stinks doesn't it? Would you rather have an entire year of medical care or a couple of visits to Idaho Chiropractic? I didn't realize I was Brer Rabbit stumbling into a chiropractic financial briar patch. So, before you visit these guys do consider the value proposition and the return on your health care investment before you go. This staff is maybe my most favorite of staffs in all of the doctors offices I have gone to (and I have been to many). They are personable, kind, and still professional overall. They are very informative and check to make sure you understand without rushing over details. They remember personal things about you and really make it a great experience to be there. I am so, SO happy that my clinic doctor recommended I go see Dr. Klena when my back went out. This year in January was one of the most painful times of my life. I couldn't walk without putting nearly all my weight on a walker. I couldn't stand, sit, or lay down for more than an hour without severe pain in my spine. I couldn't even drive or dress myself. When I (nearly literally) crawled into Dr. Klena's office, I felt pretty hopeless. After a week in his care I was still in pain, but SO. MUCH. BETTER. Yes, I was still moving slower than normal, but I could walk with a cane, drive, dress, etc on my own. After a month I was moving around at normal speeds with significantly less pain. Now, 4 months later, my back only hurts if I've been walking and standing for a long time. I'm working on building strength and feeling better every day. So that's my story. Now let's talk about Dr. Klena. He's been absolutely nothing but kind and generous to me. He's great at explaining the workings of my spine in ways that I can understand, and is always willing to answer questions. The staff is fantastic and always say hi to me by name when I come in. I usually go in the morning, but they seem to keep to their schedule quite well; I'm always in and out quickly. The office is in a great location down town, right off the connector. There's a dedicated parking lot that often get's pretty full, but I've never had trouble finding a spot. I love this place so much. A friend of mine from school recommended Dr. Klena and ICG to me. I have been seeing chiropractors consistently for going on 12 years since I was involved in an automobile accident with a drunk driver. Because of my height (6'4"), and crazy long neck, I had severe whiplash which damaged two disks (C4-C5 and C5-C6) and concurrent cervical malignment issues ever since. I have been to dozens of specialists, orthopedic surgeons, had MRIs, the works. Everyone wanted to inject me with steroids or fuse my spine. I began seeing a physician and chiropractor in East Idaho who recommended ozone injections into my dying disks to stave off necrosis and help heal them. To this day, I attribute the health of my neck to the brilliance and boldness of chiropractic care and those who practice it. I have seen many chiropractors: men, women, short and tall and they all trained in different schools. Some of them in the past ended up hurting me because they weren't tall enough to move me around the way I needed to be. Others retired and forced me to seek help elsewhere. Shortly after I began treatment at ICG, I recommended Dr. Klena to my girlfriend, who also has cervical vertebrae issues; he had no problem adjusting to her needs and nuances. He is very knowledgeable in many areas of health science, among other things, and he knows what it's like to be in pain. He is a very meticulous guy. He asks a lot of questions, and even though he looks intimidating, he is as nimble as a cat. Or maybe a cheetah. He probably has a cheetah for a pet if I had to guess. More recently we have been sort of 'spreading our love' of this place around and trying out Dr. Matthews. I kind of forgot that Klena had a partner for the longest time because I never saw the guy. In fact, it's possible he may be a ninja. Just like Dr. K, he has his own style of doing things. My first visit he gave me a thorough evaluation, including reviewing all of Dr. Klena's notes from my patient file, talking to me about my past medical history, what my problems were, and physically examining my back, neck and muscles to get a sense of everything for his own knowledge, just as Dr. Klena does - what any good doctor should do. Whenever I leave this place, no matter who I see, I always feel 100x better. They also have two therapists who perform a variety of services if you are in extreme pain, or just too tight to adjust. They are super awesome as well, and although I don't see them much anymore, I haven't forgotten about them. Last, but not least - and I say that whole heartedly because these guys are literally the hand that rocks the cradle, the tip of the iceberg, the frosting on the best birthday cake: the women in the front office. They are the best! Always brilliant and colorful, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Smiles for all, and maybe hugs if you ask nicely. I have never encountered a group of people who truly tie a place together the way they do: with grace, style and independence, second to none. I have so much respect for the hard work they do, and the little things that often go unnoticed. Things that men just don't thing about doing, and yet can appreciate once it's done and think to themselves, "How awesome is that?" They are so critical, the place might spontaneously combust if things changed (I kid!). In fact, it was Hannah who requested a "big favor" of me today: spread the word on behalf of ICG. To be honest, I thought she was going to ask me to borrow some tools or something! Well Hannah, the pleasure is all mine and I'm delighted to do so for a place that has given me so much in return.
