Then I came across Easy Breezy Pet Grooming and was impressed by their great reviews, so I decided to give them a try. The full groom was around $70, and I appreciated that they check for rabies vaccinations--it's a reassuring extra step. The shop itself is clean and cute, and they took great care of my dog. I've had bad experiences with previous groomers missing the dew claws or some of the nails, but that has never happened here once. They have been very thorough and gentle with my dogs. I was a little bummed about them moving locations but a growing business means more space is needed and despite the addition of a half hour more for the commute, I still make the trip out because of how much I value their service. Lilo and Stitch have been coming here for three years, and I couldn't be happier with Easy Breezy. Before finding them, I tried several different places hoping to find the right home for my puppies. I have been looking for a dog groomer in the San Diego area for ever! I found easy breezy pet groom on yelp. I was kind of worry of taking him to a private groomer because I had a bad experience in the Bay Area with one. I was then stuck with a specific fantastic groomer at a Petco in Northern California. Ever since moving to San Diego, we took him to the La Mesa Petco where they did a horrible job. I am very picky with my dog getting groomed, but I am so beyond happy with Alexis and the service she provided my dog, Gussy. When I booked the appointment everyone was very friendly at this spot as well. Also it is very CLEAN here as well. I highly recommend checking out this place. You will not be disappointed! Summer is arriving early in SD so it was time to give my goldendoodle her summer haircut. Easy Breezy did a really great job and was really friendly with my dog. While she was excited to get picked up, I could tell she also had a good time at the groomers. They cut her hair short just like I asked, framed her face nicely, and kept her nice and luscious eyelashes. They also only took around 2 hrs which surprised me! Nice and efficient. Great with my baby when I drop her off. They listen to what we're looking for and do an amazing job with deshedding my sweet corgi mix. It lasts for at least a month! Luna Lovegood is super happy to go visit them every time we drive over, that's how I know they treat her well. read more

Still the only place I will take my Pomeranian too. The staff is always so helpful and welcoming when you walk in the door. They're all so patient with all of the pets and do a great job with every grooming. Cassie and Alexis always do a wonderful job and always remember to add the bandana and no cologne. I finally got around to give Easy Breezy a call for my Yorkie. I got a flyer in the mail, and had been meaning to try them out. Very professional. Great location in La Mesa by Carl Burger Dodge. I was blown away with a pet store, full of stuff! And grooming. I called Saturday, and first available was Sunday. It was quiet, and nice. They even came out with a grooming board with clipper cuts to ensure I got the length I wanted. They answered all my questions, and I left feeling very comfortable-gone are the chaotic drop off with tons of dogs, and unknown who will groom. I got to speak directly with the person who was actually grooming and give them a little history of my anxious girl. Great experience. Run don't walk if you need grooming. Love love LOOOOVE Easy Breezy grooming!! I have been coming since we moved down to SD two years ago and each experience has been the best. From grooming Concha to giving me great advice on how to care for her fur. I've felt all the love and care put into my girl. I never thought I'd be taking my cat to get her nails done, but here we are... Easy Breezy Pet Groom recently moved from Tierrasanta to La Mesa, and it's still just as great. Parking is easy, and Vicky handles cat nail trims Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM. At just $18 for a trim, it's super convenient to pop by for a quick visit. My cat might not love it, but I do (so does my furniture). Big thanks to Vicky for keeping those claws in check! read more

Jack has been going to Olivia a handful of times and she always crushes it. My dog is not very good with people and other dogs and she is always so patient with him! What a great addition to La Mesa! My little senior Murray is a stinker, doesn't like face touched, required sedation but he was looking pretty scraggly so decided to get him in. I see what all the 5-star ratings were about! Very friendly and helpful staff. Location was convenient with lots of parking. They have a shop there as well, which I will have to spend some time in next visit. Best grooming this little man has ever had, even with his face cleaned up and I can see his eyes! I have always loved Easy Breezy from the moment that I found out about them in late 2021 to now. I make it a habit to book my dog's next grooming appointment each time that I go there so I can pretty much guarantee my shih tzu a spot three weeks later. Due to some scheduling changes and due to the rain this past week, I had to change my dog's appointment a few times (at the last minute) but got her a spot today and as always, she came out great and they even pointed out something that I can have addressed at her next vet's appointment. This place has the best of both worlds because they not only do pet grooming, they also carry food and other necessities for your furry friend. Dear Breonna, please don't make assumptions about my dog being on anxiety medication, thanks. He is not but it's not really appropriate for you to be publicly posting false information but given how aggressive you are towards any negativity expressed in reviews, this shouldn't be a surprise. The main point of my rescue was to tell the public how drastically your prices had increased and that the hidden fees tacked on are 25% extra onto an already high base price of $75. Given that I was quoted between $65 to $75, that was a significant difference. And yes, we plan to go back to the other groomer who didn't tack on a huge surcharge but happened to not have availability given how unwelcome and the awkward assumptions you like to make. read more

Breonna has been passionate about her love and care for pets and has been grooming across the country and worked at multiple shops over the last 10 years allowing for a broad experience and knowing how best to care for your pets. On the day of the appt you can drop your dog off between 7 and 10am. When we've dropped her off around 7 we can usually pick her up around noon. Later dropoffs and we've had to get her closer to close. They give you a call when they're done. Everyone working there has been very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

She took it upon herself without ANY discussion with me and CUT my baby's hair SO SHORT , I COULD NOT recognize her. She no longer has the signature westie face, has random wisps of hair on her face that were left long, and blade marks thru her body instead of a steady taper from her body to her legs. When I brought up how I distraught, upset and disappointed I was by her taking it upon herself to cut my dog's hair so short, how amateur the job looked and how unrcognizable my baby girl is, she barely apologized, said that HAIR GROWS BACK, did not sound remorseful and argued with me about MATTS in her fur when it is known by myself and my friend who both combed her frequently before the service that were NO matts or matted fur present. Take a look at the photos and decide if this is something you want for your precious pet. I paid $90 with tip and was NOT offered a refund or any compensation.

A Routine Procedure Resulted in Severe Burns, Repeated Misdiagnoses, and a Lack of Transparency…read more I am sharing our family's experience to provide a factual account of the events that followed our dog Ipo's dental cleaning at University Pet Hospital on May 15, 2026. My goal is to inform other pet owners of what can happen, even during a "routine" procedure. The Facts: Ipo, our 8-year-old dog, went in for a standard dental cleaning. The following morning, on May 16, she was in severe pain with a swollen, hyperemic abdomen. We returned to University Pet Hospital for an emergency recheck and were told her condition was a "seroma" and "inflammation" from her positioning. We were prescribed pain medication at our expense and sent home. By May 22, after the medication course was finished, Ipo's condition had worsened. We returned for another exam with Dr. Munoz, where the clinic again attributed her worsening symptoms to "irritation." They failed to diagnose the burn, and we were advised to purchase an additional medicated spray. Her condition continued to deteriorate. On May 27, after her skin began developing open wounds, we sought a second opinion. Pet Urgent Care immediately diagnosed her with thermal burns. We returned to University Pet Hospital the same day, where the clinic's own notes finally state: "...the dark red-purple-blue lining around the area may suggest thermal burn as the potential cause." The burns ultimately became severely infected, requiring emergency hospitalization, surgical debridement, and nearly a dozen trips to an animal ER. Our out-of-pocket costs have now exceeded $6,600. The Communication: In my opinion, the most concerning part of this experience was the lack of transparency from the clinic's management. Admission of Fault: In a handwritten note from May 30, the clinic manager documented advising me that "staff was making changes of use of heating pad" and that their "intentions were not to burn pet." This confirmed our belief that a heating device was the cause. Failure to Provide Records: We made multiple formal requests for Ipo's complete anesthesia and monitoring records, as is our right under California law. To date, those specific records have not been provided to us. Refusal to Engage: We sent multiple emails requesting the clinic's insurance information and a path to resolving our expenses. These requests were ignored, forcing us to file a formal complaint with the California Veterinary Medical Board and their insurance carrier. Our Opinion: We feel that had Ipo's burn been correctly identified on May 16 instead of being repeatedly misdiagnosed as "inflammation" and "irritation," she would have been spared days of excruciating pain and the development of a severe infection. We were disappointed by the clinic's failure to provide complete records and their unwillingness to engage in a good-faith resolution. We trusted this facility with a beloved family member. I hope our story encourages other pet owners to be vigilant and to ask detailed questions about the specific equipment and monitoring protocols used during any anesthetic procedure.

No wait and excellent service all with a punch card for buy 5 get one free nail trims. The place is huge with lots of retail items for purchase along with gourmet food and treat options.
