Before t aking my oldest to Tatsuma's... I thought it was normal for him to look like a mop. But Tatsuma showed me a whole new world of possibilities with how my dog could look -- a whole new beautiful, well-groomed world! I remember that it was pretty simple to schedule with Tatsuma; just text him your dog's vaccination records for the initial visit after he confirms/if he is accepting new clients. The first thing I noticed about Tatsuma was his calm and CALMING demeanor. Tatsuma emits a very gentle and kind energy; important when working with dogs of all temperaments! At the visit, you'll fill out some paperwork for your fur baby regarding any issues, and how you would like your fur baby to be groomed. If you're not sure about how short to go with the coat, Tatsuma has faux fur so that you can really see/get an idea of what each length looks like. Visits would take 2.5-3 hours, but I was totally okay with that. Tatsuma was meticulous with his work, and had a keen eye for grooming detail. You can't rush perfection! And I wouldn't want to rush Tatsuma. I alway got the haircut, which included a bath, brush, nail trim, ear cleaning, and anal gland checking. And if you want the WORKS (teeth brushing, and not sure what else), I think it's an additional $5. Once you're set up with T-Dogs grooming, you can schedule out with Tatsuma for your next appointment because he gets really busy. Tatsuma also sends you reminder texts, which I super appreciate! If you're looking for a groomer to take care of your fuzzy fur baby (maybe yours is also looking like a mop), give Tatsuma a try. He totally transformed my beautiful mutt (terrier/poodle/spaniel mix); take a look at the pictures. PS. I highly recommend this groomer. Our boy, Beasley, is very anxious and doesn't like most people. He didn't bark at Tatsuma once. He walked right up to him with no problem. He was only there about 3 hours for full cut and bath. He looks great! His head is a tad shorter than I wanted but as someone who has given Beasley a haircut, I'm sure he wasn't being the most cooperative. I like that there aren't a bunch of dogs running around. He seems to be the only groomer and doesn't book multiple clients at the same time. I will definitely bring him back here for his regularly. read more

We had no issues with our regular grooming place at all, however it was a little far from home. So when I noticed this place just a mile away, I decided to investigate the services they offer. We have a little chihuahua so no real grooming necessary, just a nail trim now and then. Low maintenance, like 4-6 months normally. The place seemed to have limited hours and finally was able to swing by here and set up an appointment. That same day I returned with our dog and warned the guy about her snappiness. He assured me this was not a problem, and I stood there in somewhat of a shock while I watched his incredible calming effect he had! Our dog was totally at ease the entire time, never seen this! The price for the nail trim was $10, comparable or maybe even now less expensive than all others out there. We're sure happy to have found a new awesome place for our little Lola! read more

We've been coming here for over 7 years with our pom/chihuahua. He is magical and has a way with the pups. Shes now nearly deaf, has arthritis and is on heart meds for congestive heart failure which makes her anxious and coughs, but not with him. I am just happy to have found T-Dogs grooming salon because it is hands down the best cut I've seen on my dog. My Schnoodle's name is Lola and the last groomer I used really butchered her hair and the price was quite exorbitant. T-Dogs's price was fantastic and the cut was just as great. My Pomeranian Gizmo was perfectly even and can pass for a 3 year old puppy even though he is 14. Tatsuma is beyond amazing and my dog was able to get an experience unlike any other groomers we have been to. My dog has had horrible experiences since she's a little rowdy terrier that is afraid of strangers and she needs extra assurance. It made us think that our dog was the problem, but with Tatsuma, she is able to warm up to him very quickly. He knows what to do to console little fiesty dog breeds, and he was very calm when she was scared at first. Now she absolutely loves going to see him even though she hates baths. We just got back from T-Dogs for a nail trim on my 16 1/2 y.o. Bichon Frise, and I have to say, this place is FABULOUS! It's sparkling clean, and the owner, Tatsuma Yamamoto, was so very gentle and caring with my little boy, and he didn't rush the nail trimming. Tatsuma got to know my dog through a sweet introduction...he lowered himself down to my dog's level, had my dog smell him, and petted him, all the while speaking soft words to him (positive energy!), and then Tatsuma picked him up and carried him gently to the work area. My little dog has a bit of a hearing problem, arthritis in his front shoulders, and cataracts. I do believe my dog can feel positive energy when we speak with him. Tatsuma then swaddled my dog in a clean and soft towel, and held him while doing the nails on his back paws. He kept checking my dog's face and body position to see if he was okay during the nail trimming and talked to him, too. When my dog started acting like he was a bit uncomfortable, Tatsuma held him in a different position, still swaddled in the towel, and all was fine. HIs front paws and dew claws were done easily as well. All the nails were smoothed over with a small "dremel" and my boy was ready to go home. There is a green picket-fence type of security gate --with a latch -- when you first enter the shop, and then, there is another latching gate that separates the front areas from the bathing-grooming area. The dogs that were waiting to be picked up by their owners looked so nice and clean and groomed, had each one had a wonderful little separate "open air" area with a soft cushion. I am so very happy and impressed with Tatsuma and his shop T-Dogs Grooming, and it's near to us, too! I drive passed this groomer at least 10 times a week and Never notice it til February. I called same day ask to bring my (Maltese) dog in with-in hour. He had no problem with that. Told me it'll take 2-3hours which it was pretty much 3hr on the dot. They gave him full HC trimmed nails, brush teeth, bandana for $45. I feel that is pretty average. He came out soo cute.
