Easy Money! The biggest little store in San Francisco! They have everything, seriously. "If they don't have it, you don't need it." Sewing kits, extension cords, mason jars, cowboy hats, and of course all the conveniences you would normally expect from your awesome neighborhood store. And of course a wonderful selection of foods, beverages (both alcoholic and not), and the nicest people working the counter. LOVE This Place - it's an Everything store because most likely they have it. Tools, Clothing, Booze, Wine, Snacks, Drinks, Toys, School stuff - They've got it all. The place used to be insanely packed but then they remodeled with some taller cabinets and it's very organized. Sam & Ranata are the owners, not married, and Greek. They're both equally friendly and helpful. They know their products and the hidden finds within the store. I mostly go here for liquor. They offer the best price on Bombay Gin - a 1.75L for $20.00!! There's also a Massive Selection of Scotch, Bourbon, Tequila, and of course Vodka. The prices are excellent. Your money can go a long way here! At first when I walked in, I thought it was one of those Chinese owned stores that sold everything useless, plastic, and 'Made in China.' Boy, was I wrong! It looked like an indoor flea market with all brand name items similar to one of those Dollar Stores but even better. When I was inside, I saw delivery people dropping off all sorts of packages. There's tons of stuff everywhere and no space is neglected. I saw lots of stuff for $1 in front of the store and even more bargains inside. Grant it, I was just looking for a pack of smokes, even the prices blew me away. A little old Russian lady helped me out in the front cashier desk and sold me a pack of Marlboro's for $5.50 after tax. Now that's a bargain! You could probably spend hours inside looking at everything the store sells. I didn't go deep into the store to browse through as my car was parked in a metered area and I was looking for a decent place to eat. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely hit up this place. read more

Wow! When I saw the sign outside that read "CHEAP BEER" I was thinking knock off beer but this place is legit! I walked in to just venture and see what they offered and was blown away at all the stuff that they have here. They do have junk food and small snacks as well as alcohol but the amount of alcohol that they have here is impressive. Obviously, it is not Bevmo but if you are in the area looking to get something quick and fast I would recommend this place. I arrived looking to get some cognac. I checked out the cost of Hennessy at this store and it was bit more than what I normally would pay. I thought maybe that the prices would be less but I think that only applies to the beer. Besides the fact that Renata and Sam are sweet and funny people, they got it. No really, they have everything think I forgot and need plus are open until 9pm except for Sundays which is 8pm. This is where I buy sundries: wine, Red Bull, toilet paper, bleach, butane, kitchen sponges, spaghetti, toothpaste, charcoal, paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, orange juice, duct tape, etc. The selection of liquor and mixers is very complete. This store also sells various European confections and snacks which I am not familiar with, but which seem to please my friends who have lived in Europe. The store is crowded (possibly violating fire code) and seemingly disorganized, but for me this is part of its charm. If you don't know where to find something, the people who run the store can immediately tell you which shelf to look at. When an item is out of stock, they will courteously inform you when they expect to receive the next delivery. The owners of this store follow my business; they know which items I often buy, how often I come to their store, what kind of wine I like to drink, my preferred toothpaste. They've seen me with a hangover, wearing my bed clothes (old worn T-shirt and shorts); they've seen me when I've been stoned; they've seen me sniffling and coughing up phlegm with a nasty cold; they've seen me wild-eyed, sweaty and winded after an exhausting run in the park. And somehow it comforts me that they have become friendly observers of my ordinary life. I enjoy living so close to this neighborhood store, where the owners remember my name and seem to be so pleased whenever I come to shop with them. read more

If they don't have it you don't need it! Seriously, I was without a Christmas gift to a 1 year old and they had a stuffed animal that worked great. I needed some cream of mushroom soup in a pinch and they have it. Bungie tiedowns for the trunk, coffee filters, and of course cigarettes and alcohol at pretty reasonable prices. Service with a smile from Sam and the other owners at all times of the day and night. Latest special is 10oz of whole bean coffee for only 69cents! And it is actually good coffee. I love the owners of this store (a married couple Renata and Sam) as they are both helpful and courteous. The store also has a much wider selection of items than any other corner on the block (why go to Target when you live on Irving?). But for me the thing that gives this store five stars is their cigarette selection and prices. They really are the cheapest in the city (or at least in the Sunset and Richmond). I'm mainly a pipe smoker (English and Balkan type tobaccos) but if I'm out and about I'll carry my Lucky Strikes, which most stores don't carry. Their Lucky Strikes ARE ONLY $7 while the corner store by my house is $9! Also, according to Renata. "We get a new shipment of cigarettes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and I also stock the freshest ones up front. Most stores that have Lucky Strike or other hard cigarettes are stale." This is my new favorite mom & pop store! I rather buy here than a huge chain. Anyway, food and kitchen supplies all in one place. Open 8a-9pm. There's a huge I mean huge selection of wine, beer, liqueurs of all types, liquor, and lots of food. I bought an orange squeezer to make fresh juice for $1.50 and European cookies. This is such a welcoming place, a wonderful little shop run by a very kind family. This is where I go to get my late-night western-convenience store fix(it's closer to my place than walgreens) amidst the sea of asian stores. Love the fact that upon entering you're greeted with a cornucopia of chocolates and Crisps(Cheese and onion! Not a huge fan of the pickled onion variety, though) from the UK, right by the door. They have a great selection of miscellaneous household items and beverages(mexican coke and pepsi, individual cans of Guinness, etc.) and quite a selection of scratch tickets behind the register. The staff is always very personable and friendly, and engaging in conversations with patrons as they ring up their purchases. I'm a fan :D Open til 9:00 PM, minimum for debit is $10, or you get a .50 surcharge if it's below. read more

On Monday, I stopped in to buy my usual bag of cat liter. And, I noticed they have the latest variety of the new M & M candies in mint flavor for only $1. Yes, that's right, one dollar. M & M candy is not cheap, in fact at Walgreens it is over $4.00 to $5.00 per large bag. I have noticed lately that the staff keeps items well stocked and that the shop can get very busy. I guess their slogan is just about right, "if we don't have it, you don't need it." Always a pleasure to go in and look around, they have bargains everyday. This place is my favorite of all the houseware/hardware/snack combo stores along Irving St. At first I was quite turned off by their tacky name, but since they were right next door to my Well Fargo bank and ATM, I gave them a try. The owners are always nice and helpful to me...even tho sometimes they wear rough expressions on their faces. Their prices are actually very competitive, if not downright cheaper, than the close stores surrounding them. I particularly like the 3 for $1 candy bar section towards the front of the store (always kinds you cant find at a regular liquor store), their low priced bbq utensil set (I needed that and their charcoal for a bbq once), the oh so familiar sturdy 1 ply toilet paper...and other things I just can't remember. read more

I agree with everyone here. This store is fun--- it has tons of random items in it, and the Russian lady who works there always is warm and telling me jokes. When it comes to corner stores, I always want to find one to support with ppl I like in it... this is the one I am glad to spend all my money at. My favorite items? These cool little vials of ginseng extract w/ honey for 50 cents from China. So I decided to thoroughly check out their liquor selection, and wow the prices are surprisingly cheap. For example, a 750ml bottle of Kahlua was only $14.99. After visiting Safeway, Trader Joe's, and other liquor stores, Easy Money had it the cheapest. Also, the older gentleman there definitely knows his spirits, which I love. He introduced me to a new brand of vodka they were carrying, (Vikingfjord, $9.99) and it's a new favorite at my house now. He even gave me a coupon for a $9 rebate, so I basically got a bottle of vodka for a dollar. This place never fails to impress! read more

I first discovered Easy Money by randomly walking in and was void of expectations due to having disappointing prior experiences in other venues that have been bannered with signs that title 'Cheaper Then Cheaper Cigarettes' (yes, that is how the sign reads..you gotta love the grammar in the sunset). As I walked in, I found the store to be quite crowded with every type of grocery/hardware/home furnishings you could imagine. Feeling somewhat claustrophobic I moved to the alcohol section for some breathing room and discovered a plethora of decent priced hard alcohol and wines that have now cured many boring nights in the Sunset ( I am completely comfortable admitting I drink out of boredom with my friends..if you live in the Sunset you know what I'm talking about). The owner Sam and his wife are the nicest Russian duo on the block. So nice, in fact, that when I was purchasing some groceries and had forgotten my wallet they allowed me to just pay them the next time I was in the store...that scored HUGE points in my book. Each time I return Sam is always on the ball with recommending new Pinot's they just received and there was even a time I got a free shot of vodka because I had mentioned I had never tasted a certain brand. So what does he do? He grabs the bottle, rips off the top, and pours a perfect shot in a paper cup and offers it to me. Not wanting to be rude I eagerly accept and ended up buying a bottle. I have to ask, what better customer service can you provide than what I just described? Between the 3 for $1 candy selections and the wide array of delicious wines there is really nowhere else you could go to get great service combined with quality products. So go check this place out next time you are in the outer Sunset. While they might not be handing out money (as you may think from the name..hopefully you aren't that mentally handicapped), who knows, maybe you may get a gratis shot : ) read more

I love easy money. They have anything practical that you can think of and more. Everything is priced so well too. a couple weeks ago I got 3 bags of Ghirardelli chocolates for a buck each, which would have costed around 15 bucks at walgreens. My roommate who smokes swears that they have the best deals on cigarettes in the city. Plus, how could any one dislike the two owners. I always enjoy seeing them, but they need to take a day off every now and then. read more

While I've only frequented this place a handful of times, it is so great. Inside Easy Money, you will find lots of useful household supplies for exceptionally low prices (last time I went in they had a small glue gun for 1.99!).
