Been going to Hal for six years. Things have changed at that office. We couldn't get answers to basic tax questions. I had to point out two mistakes that were being made while my return was being prepared. I had to ask for the voucher to pay my taxes or I wouldn't have gotten it. Then the clincher, a simple return with a modest schedule C costs over 425 dollars, nearly 3 times more than we have ever paid in the past. We were floored. My wife and I made an appt to get our taxes done there earlier this year 2024. Usually Hal had prepared them in the past but is retired now as we found out. Our "experience" with Jeannette was very disturbing. She attacked me personally over and over during the appt. She said things like your an old man and your not listening to me or your wife. Very nasty and vicious. We wanted to stop then and there to halt the attack on me. My wife wanted to get it done there and then so I took the abuse. I was shocked beyond belief. I wanted to reply and get personal with her about her own physical appearance and evil style but I relented. I'm retired and worked with the public for 40 years. I know all about how to treat people and be nice and patient. I get it. I was extremely liked! We will not be back there. I'm hoping to file more complaints soon with the proper entities. Not only did we get stung by our tax liability this year but also about her high price for the return. A double whammy no one should endure. for one thing I have never lived in Calif, and Jeanette kept bad mouthing our past CPAs because they should had filed our taxes for over 30 years jointly. We have only lived in AZ and its a shame that Hal has to stick up for his employee that was entirely in the wrong .. You did not spend over a hour trying to resolve our issue.. U told us to leave than I said the 4 letter word once and you would hear from our attorney. She amended the returns and had the joint return to work off of to file them correctly it was the information she already had nothing that we gave her incorrectly.. Maybe you and Bob need to pull our returns up and look at them.. I will resolve the issue with the IRS on my own beings I dealt with the ADOR and got it handled... read more
