The service is quick, the prices are incredibly reasonable, and the food is consistently delicious. Before your meal even arrives, you're served a plate of fresh radishes, cucumber, and lime wedges, plus a selection of toppings including tomatoes, onions, and both a green and red salsa. Unfortunately this location didn't give us the cactus like the other locations did. The red salsa was my favourite, it paired perfectly with the tacos and had just the right amount of heat and flavour. The standout for me was the al pastor taco. The meat was incredibly flavourful with crispy edges, a smoky char, and the perfect balance of savoury spice and sweet pineapple. It was easily one of the best al pastor tacos I had in Playa del Carmen. I also tried the sirloin taco and the chicken breast plate, both of which were excellent. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and the quality was impressive, especially for the price. El Fogón absolutely lived up to the hype. If you're looking for authentic, delicious tacos and grilled meats that won't break the bank, this is a must visit. I loved it so much that I ended up eating at all three locations and every visit was just as good as the last.

My wife and I shared the chicken fajitas, which were excellent. My friend ordered the al pastor fajitas, and his wife had the pork chops--everyone agreed the food was delicious. The guacamole was fresh and amazing, and every dish was flavorful and generously portioned. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food with excellent service and a great atmosphere, I highly recommend El Fogón. We would definitely come back!

You can order from your chair and have lunch on the beach/pool or you can eat at the restaurant overlooking the pool and beach area. They also can make you any cocktail you desire. At night the restaurant is very romantic with a wonderful ambience of lights and candlelight. The menu at night changes to more regional Mexican food with different vegetables from the region as well as meat/seafood. The menu can be confusing, but the waiter is very knowledgeable and can answer any questions as well as make modifications. The prices are steep, but the portions are generous. Again this is on the property of the Rosewood Mayakoba so expect to pay for the best.

Romantic ambience (beach, great music and bonfire), luxurious interior and courteous staffs. Our server went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. I really wanted to try their famous lobster tacos which wasn't on the dinner menu. When I expressed my disappointment, our server spoke with the chef and came back with the dish ! He also brought my partner a complementary shot of his favorite tequila. We went in with T shirts and beach sandals, but they made us feel like a VIP.

Not wanting to walk forever tp food or hassle with trying to find a parking spot to get to 5th Avenue, we stayed on outskirts and found this gem! What ambience off the beaten path!! There is an art gallery upstairs after we finally found the place (there is a sign in medium pointing south). Our two teenagers devoured the Fettucine Carbonara whip my husband tried the Asparagus stuffed Chicken. I couldn't resist duck tacos as my entree along with their mixed lettuce salad. Jose our server was absolutely wonderful and encouraged us to try all three butters for our bread and of course he enticed is with the dessert tray which we gladly jumped for! The chocolate cake is pretty dark, the passion fruit cheesecake is pretty delicious, our favorite was the carrot cake, have never had a moister bite! As we left to return to our condo in Akumal, our boys asked if we could make the 20 minute trek there again during our Mexico stay...that tells us this place is a winner!

My dad is picky when it comes to meat, he was hesitant to order a meat dish in Mexico, but after he tried the pork dish with the bone, he wanted to go back every day during our vacation. Their breakfast is equally good too.
