All of his equipment and tools were notable clean and orderly. Alex even made it a point to wear covers over his shoes when inside the home. Performance: During the inspection Alex made it a point to explain the issues he found and also give a sound explanation as to why the issue was there and what could be done to fix or prevent it in the future. He was very thorough and clear with his inspection. Alex was not rushed but instead patient as he went about his practice. He was also very good at answering questions when presented and never seemed bothered by having me ask. I worked with Alex from Eaton Inspections. I'm having a new home built and was really unsure if I wanted to do an inspection. After all, it was a new home, what could be wrong. Well Alex found multiple issues that I'm fairly certain the builder was not going to relay to me. We picked Eaton Inspections (Alex Lockstead) to inspect a first home in around 2000. Then we returned to him 2008-09 for two more inspections, one on a home that we rejected because of the inspection, another on a home that we moved too. In retrospect, it seems like he caught all the big problems with the two homes we ended up owning (and some really big problems with the home we didn't buy), and missed just a few minor things. I appreciated his manner (easy to talk to, willing to explain things for the average person), and I appreciated being able to walk with him through the entire inspection and hear his running commentary.
