This is the "completed work" the bump of cement on the side of the drain broke off, because everyone knows you can't lay cement like that
    Lisa M.

September 2018 I hired Jolly plumbing to fix the exterior water issues I have causing excess water to dump into my garage and basement. I have a recessed driveway and the drain appeared clogged so the initial plan was to open up the exterior drain and connect it to my internal drain for a price of $3,600. I agreed and John opened up the concrete only to discover the pipes weren't there and a sump pump needed to be installed the price went up to $7,600, I agreed. This work entailed using a jack hammer to dig up the concrete at the bottom of my driveway and repair, install sump pump, to install the drain and to smooth out the water damaged parts leading into my driveway. The new concrete was supposed to be slopes down away from the garage so water wouldn't get in. I called Jolly and voiced my concerns that the plumber wasn't doing professional work, trash was left on my property each day, and had concerns when he concrete dug wasn't saw cut so the jack hammer shatter my drive way. When the plumber original went to lay the new concrete he only filled in the immediate areas around the drain. He assured me that even though the trough drain doesn't extend the full length of the driveway rain would not get under my garage door as it had for the last 6 years. I begged for the trough to reach both sides and was ignored. I called Jolly plumbing left multiple messages for mgmnt. I'm a single mom of two little kids and I felt like they ignored me and did a bad job because I didn't have anyone else here to help me advocate even though I was watching the horrible work happening and speaking up. John's solution to the water that was going around the drain was to build tiny little slaps of cement and angle them away from the drain. But of course, you can't lay cement on top of old cement and expect it not to break off, like it did. And I don't even drive into my driveway! Also, when my neighbor (man) saw the poor patch job done on my cement work during the fill he contacted Jolly and someone came out here to extend the cement to my garage covering most of the damage caused by John when he decide not to saw my cement before hammering it. But they only fixed the center portion of the drive way and left the sides warped and an entry point for water to continue to enter my house. He left the sides of my driveway, badly worn from water collecting over the years, installation alone, even though this was supposed to be address in the bid as part of fixing the concrete. Instead, he was lazy and built those little broke cement lips as a water deterrent. I called many many many times to voice this worry knowing water would still get into my basement because I know how it likes to come down the sides of my driveway and into my garage. NO one came out to look at the job. But I was expected to pay the remainder amount of my bill consisting of $3,300. When the job was "complete" I saw a little snub white piece of pvc hanging out of my foundation wall next to the sump pump. John assures me the pump should drain this way. I didn't feel comfortable with it because it seemed like the water could damage the foundation. I asked that it be directed away from the house. Instead of actually draining it away from the house, he put an elbow and small pvc pipe, put insulation around it and all this did was direct the water from my pump literally back into my foundation. As soon as spring came I saw a sunken HOLE next to my foundation, below the foundation line. I sent the pictures to Ryan who barely acknowledged me and said he would send someone out that week. Wayne came and properly buried the sump pump drain into my back yard, as John should of done, but didn't even though I asked him to. In May, I met with Scott, per my request, inside Jolly plumbing's office. Scott's position was that his company had done me a favor by not charging me to come out there and properly bury the pump line. I asked if he looked at any of the pictures that he claimed to have looks at because if he had he wouldn't of said what he just said. He reluctantly looked at the pics and changed the topic. Such a sad way to do business. He was unprepared and had looked at none of the photos I had sent over the last 6 months. He has no photos of my property prior to beginning the work. And states that John didn't damage my drive way with the jack hammer. John did and I assured him of it. But Scott agreed to take a thousand dollars off of the bill. Now I'm stuck with a wet basement and Jolly wants to charge me another $1k to have the concrete repaired that should of been repaired as promised in the bid. I refuse to give them anymore money and have disputed $2.6k that I recently paid them and am completely prepared to represent the case in court.

Customer service was absolutely fantastic and Tyler W. was accommodating and gave us clear explanations as to what was wrong. We received a text message with a picture of the employees so we knew who to expect and what they looked like. Arlinghaus has to send another worker out to discuss prices on a new furnace. Tyler was able to get our furnace working temporarily as we look into buying a new furnace. It cost $89 for him to come out and diagnose the problem. They will remove this from any extra work they may need to do. Unfortunately, in the end we could not afford even the lowest option they had for a furnace. They use a top furnace line brand and are more expensive then the national average. This was the only draw back for me that it was to expensive and I did not want to enter into a loan for a $7,000 furnace when the average homeowners pay is $3100. Regardless, they were transparent and did not pressure me into anything we didn't want to do. I highly recommend Arlinghaus for their professionalism and honesty with their customers.

Needless to say, their repair hasn't held. The pvc piping they installed won't even stay together. It only held for a few months and then just came apart-- leaving us with having to have a bucket beneath the sink. I'm just frustrated enough to write this updated review now because I have to pay to have another plumber come out to fix their work. These people are predatory and unprofessional. Would not recommend. What would've been nice is if the owner of this plumbing company saw the invoice number on my receipt in the last post and tried to reach out-- but he didn't. Instead he implied that we didn't even have his company service my mother's home. Having integrity in your business -- owning a job and its result means something.

Maybe 20 mins later, I received a call back from Tarvin and they told me a tech could meet me at my house in 45 mins. When the tech arrived (cannot remember his name), he told me they pulled him from his office duties for the day to take care of my issue. He was polite, friendly and got right to work. Within 15 mins he had the frozen line thawed, with no apparent leaks (fingers crossed). Polite, professional and reasonably priced. They also recommended a permanent fix for the freezing issue. Tarvin will be my 1st call for any future plumbing issues! Jeff H

I chose True Flow specifically because they are a small, local business, and despite their higher pricing, I wanted to support a local company. Unfortunately, I began regretting that decision on day one. On the scheduled start date, no one contacted me by 10a.m., so I called and spoke with Kadin. He informed me that the team was gathering materials and would be on their way. By 11a.m., no one had arrived. When I called back, I was then told the crew had accidentally cut a line on a different job the day before and that my appointment would need to be rescheduled. This was unacceptable - not only because the day was already halfway over, but because no one communicated anything to me. Kadin then assured me the owner, Kelley, would personally come out that day to complete the demo and that the overall job would take two days. Kelley did arrive, but ran into an issue with my tub being concreted in and was unable to complete the demo. He stated he would send two workers the following day to finish the job. I understood and appreciated the update, but things only went downhill from there. The next day, again, there was no call, no show until I reached out at 10:30 a.m. I was told - once again - that they were gathering materials and would arrive shortly. Kadin and the "master plumber" eventually showed up around 11:30. I expressed my frustration with the late start and no communication. I was reassured repeatedly that the master plumber would "get everything done perfectly." Over the next four days, Kadin consistently arrived between 10:30a.m. and 11:30a.m., after spending the first hour sweeping while waiting for the master plumber, who often didn't arrive until after 1p.m. Each day, after the "master plumber" finally showed up he would start Kadin on a task, then immediately go outside to his truck to take 25-35 minute smoke breaks - every 15-20 minutes of "work". Yes, I timed him. Kadin would leave around 5 or 6 p.m. for school, and only then would the "master plumber" stop the excessive breaks and work until 8 p.m. The final day, he was in my home working well past 9 p.m. A job quoted as 'two days" ultimately took six full days. I raised my concerns directly with the owner, Kelley, on day three regarding the repeated late starts and lack of communication. He apologized. I also mentioned a preexisting water pressure issue, and he assured me it was "just a valve" and that he would work with me, considering the issues I have experienced already. That did not happen. I was charged an additional $500 for a valve replacement that took approximately 15 minutes - and it made the water pressure significantly worse. It took three additional days to address this pressure issue, again with no calls and no on-time arrivals. At one point, I was told they would arrive in 15 minutes; only for owner Kelley to show up after another phone call three and a half hours later. I gave True Flow every opportunity to correct their tardiness and mistakes. I remained patient and cooperative. But when a company consistently shows up late, fails to communicate, disregards timelines, overcharges, does not honor their word and responds with attitude when concerns are raised, I cannot support or recommend them. Homeowners(customers) deserve reliability, honesty, and respect - none of which were consistently demonstrated here. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

Sarah Lilley emailed me on 9/12/25 informing me that they are offering a 1 year free membership and a complimentary tankless water heater flush with a whole house inspection. I asked a bunch of questions then told her that I was interested. I scheduled the flush for 9/25/25 with a window of 830-10 am. However, I was told from Kathi Grey the day before (9/24/25) that it would most likely be closer to 830-9 am. The technician, Jared Scott, comes and learns that I have a tankless water heater and doesn't have what he needs. Jared told me that he was not informed that I have a tankless even though it was mentioned various times in communication. One of which is email that I still have a copy of in my account. Jared also mentions the whole house inspection. I said that I didn't need that done today. I mistakenly told Jared that I already have a membership with Apollo and they have done inspections in the past. Jared leaves to get the part that he needs. He comes back shortly informing me that he can't do the tankless flush because I already have a membership with Apollo. Jared leaves so I call A+ to speak with the owner. Sarah answers the phone and puts me on hold while she gets him. He tells me that I never mentioned the tankless water heater! The nerve! He also informs me that I HAVE to get the whole house inspection in order to get the tankless water flush and it has to be done the same day. I was NOT told that specific piece of information prior to scheduling. The owner goes on to rudely tell me that A+ doesn't go around giving away free work. I informed him that I don't use Apollo for plumbing just for our HVAC system. I genuinely was interested in using them but absolutely not now!! I would have been open to a whole house inspection at another time if the owner wasn't so rude to me and I was told that upfront. I had a 11:30 doctor's appointment so there was no time for a whole house inspection as my home is 4000 sq feet not including our finished basement. I asked how long the appointment with Jared would take (again, spoke to Kathi and Sarah) and was told 1 hour. There's no way a whole house inspection and a tankless hot water flush whole could be finished in 1 hour. Logic told me that I could do the whole house inspection another time if I wanted it done. I know that the tankless water heater flush takes 45 mins to 1 hour alone. In addition to all of this Sarah and Kathi told me that A+ plumbing (at the time was Maximum plumbing) did our tankless water heater on 4/15/2024. That is not true. I had A+ come on that day to give me an estimate. This business is not accredited with the BBB. What a waste of time!!
